That's great news. Was that announced somewhere? -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

I was referring to a hypothetical announcement saying that series 8 will be the last series. I really don't think 8 will be the last series. I just get nervous wondering when it will end because as a minifig collector, the CMF line is the best thing to happen to me from lego. Sometimes I feel like it is too good to last. -
Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets

This is the internet and people feel free to say ridiculous things anonymously. If there was a question asking if it was going to far to hold up the store at gunpoint and steal all the minifigures, a few people would have still said no. -
Wow, I didn't even realize people were questioning this. I wasn't really interested (other than the affect it would have on my beloved CMF line) so I never really looked closely, but now that I look closer, it really seems like it could be a really well made fake. As someone mentioned the "series 9" seems wrong as well as some other things... I guess we'll see what happens with this.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

It seems to me that the only pattern in regards to reveals is no pattern. Sometimes we know what the next two series are in advance. Sometimes we don't know what's coming until the last second. Now we have this weird Olympic thing in the mix. There's also the randomness of leaks. It's really hard to predict when we will know what. As long as what they have planned isn't the end of the series then I would be really excited to hear some news. -

I don't think Lego coordinates a release date for these things. They just kind of start showing up in different places at different times. Lately, it seems like the UK gets them first and the US should see them in a few weeks. -

I haven't heard of anything outside the UK yet. I think this is the 3rd series in a row that showed up in the UK first. I wish they would spread it around a little more like they used to. -

I can't decide which my favorate is until I have them in person but I can say that I am not tired of these and I hope they keep coming for a long time. -

My wife has been searching for a monster high doll for a few months now. We have seen it show in stock quite a few times at local Target stores but when we called they said they don't have it and haven't for quite awhile. From my experience, the target online in store stock tracking is far from accurate. I would love to get my hands on series 7 though. -

They were on a roll but this series looks a little plain. I guess my favorate is the second guy from the left in the back row. -

With three CMF releases in a year there are 48 figures to reveal. That's enough to reveal one just about every week. Every Sunday should have a new CMF revealed. They can skip a week between series. -

Good point. We still need a basic green and pink... -

Good point about the difficulty of choosing skin tones for minifigs. I didn't really think lego would stop using yellow for the CMF line but that makes me feel even more certain. With licensed figs the skin tone isn't really Lego's choice so they don't have to worry too much about controversy. As far as black pakaging, I think black is a good color for kids, well boys especially. I loved black when I was a kid. I think bright colors are mostly required for kids who are too young for CMFs anyway, however most bold colors including black and red always apealed to me as a kid. Going forward though, it may be hard to find bold colors that haven't been used. Purple seems like the only big one left and I'm not sure if they will use that since it seems like I see more boys buying these than girls. I would love to see sand green and dark red. We'll probably see more shades of blue and green. Too bad I probably won't get brown or tan any time soon. Maybe metallic colors like gold and silver will show up. -

I agree as well. The flying V is cool but limited in its use in MOCs compared to a more traditional shaped guitar. Good thing we have Brickforge. -

I hope that will never happen. I think it most likely won't but you can never know for sure. -

Yeah, we need something to discuss other than the black pakaging. -

I said that I think the releases will slow down before stopping. I did not indicate that I thought that would happen anytime soon. I was just responding to people who thought it might stop all of a sudden. I personally have no idea what the sales numbers are but I would think/hope this series will continue for quite awhile. -

What makes you think that I think anyone else feels different? I was just speaking for myself. Now that you mention it though, I have seen plenty of people who have posted on various sites say that they would like the pace to slow down or that the series should end all together. Even in this very thread a few people have questioned the longevity of this series. -

I think the releases will slow down before they stop the line altogether. For me, I can't wait for series 7 and 8. I hope they keep them coming at this pace for as long as possible. -

It seems like someone who wants everyone to know that they know something that they don't want to share is just looking for attention and probably doesn't know anything at all. I'll be excited when someone actually has info to share. I would be glad to see black packaging. Maybe purple will be next. -

Correction: Lego is against modern war The lines blur a little more when it comes to licensed sets however. -

I'm surprised no one said groom yet since we have a lonely bride in S7. -
I wonder what I can use to replace the croissants? Maybe a few helmet plumes?

I forgot to ask: Did anyone hear anything about a release date?

Even though I preferred the old design I actually prefer the 32 by 32 base. It allows me to fit it into my modular block which wraps around with 4 corner buildings. 48 studs would have created a problem. I like the dark orange as well. I think the main thing for me was the columns. As Badsneaker said, I think it looked better with the taller columns. Also I know we have the fancy new column pieces but I preferred the column design on the old building. Overall, the entry way on the new design does not look grand enough in my opinion. It's still looks great and they still did better than I could do which is why I doubt I'll be able to improve it much but I'll give it a shot. That may even give me more enjoyment out of this set. Maybe that was the plan all along...
