  1. As the party deals with the dock master, Darksten finally finds what he is looking for. Turning his back so no one can see, he pulls out the small object and thinks hard about the missing Orc Darksten uses magic compass
  2. Darksten waits for the dock master to reply, but begins searching through his endless pockets and quivers while waiting...
  3. Darksten cannot help but stare for a few moments at the merman before him. Recognizing the awkwardness it could pose, the assassin looks for a window from which he can try to spot the slavers/orc from while they await a response from the Dock Master.
  4. After searching the HQ for further clues (and loot), Darksten steps back outside and sees the party packing to leave the area. Without asking any questions, Darksten loads up what is offered him and prepares to follow the party leader, where ever they may be going...
  5. Thanks again for everything Sandy! You will be missed. Going forward, I am interested in continuing as well! For now it just questing, but one day I do hope to host.. The panel approach to quests could be useful, so long as the processes does not get bogged down in processes. We could also use this as an opportunity to start a new plot for the main story...
  6. "Holy shi..." Is about all that Darksten can mutter as the alley fills with bomb blasts and ancient magic. He sees friends and foes fall left and right, as he searches for a target through the haze. When the dust settles, Darksten checks to ensure all his comrades are ok before stepping back into the HQ to search for clues (and loot) as he assumed his peers could handled the vanquished foes. OOC: man that was one heck of an ending... haha! Let's hope the rest of the quest has better results, and yes, let's swap dice!
  7. Darksten waits to hear what his enemies have to say in response to Matthias's question, before launching another arrow (if necessary) Darksten repeats (if necessary)
  8. Darksten smiles as his arrow hits his ranged foe. He quickly reloads to reattack. Darksten repeats
  9. Darksten returns his aim back to the archer and prepares to engage ooc: you puny non-humans worried about k/o! Haha! But yes, that new info is definitely a game changer. I am glad I dint trigger it earlier. Battleiwse, should we move Throlar below Andrew so that there is a human on either side of a Tubbs attack, thus preventing extra damage from the second special (pending criteria is met)? Also, I went through and reformatted all my posts this quest so should look right. Let me know if I missed any
  10. Yeah, haha, it is crazy how much formatting goes into this game. Not having it working properly makes everything just about unreadable! haha
  11. As the new teammates join the party, the short man starts changing the battle plan. Darksten shifts to cover, but feels obliged to speak up. "I have no issue taking on that girl as she looks susceptible to my falling to my precision attacks, but I do want to point out that the archer has already pierced my armor and is more readily reachable by my bow when compared to front row weapons. It is your call however Party Lead" Darksten prepares to follows Matthias's plan (what ever it may be) OOC; I have no issue with you taking over lead StickFig
  12. Darksten is relieved to see his team mates join the fight and quickly looks over the situation Suggested Battle Order Darksten vs Tubbs from back Andrew vs Melissa from front (join this round, just posting strategy) Bert vs Mook B from front (join this round, just posting strategy) Matthias vs Tubbs from back Soliman vs Mook B from Front Parvati vs Melissa from Back Tholar retrieves weapon Cedric uses items and joins later Ooc: I am open to suggestions in light of additional info, The team party lead is also welcome to assume fight coord now that they join
  13. And just when Darksten thought he was getting an advantage, the two new foes joined the match. Seeing the blood dripping from his new adversaries, the assassin thought he still stood a chance. However, the question now remained, was the blood that of his enemy or the other party that was supposed to clear the inside... Either way, he was going to need help in case more came against them "Hold the line! I am getting our partner back in the fight" Suggested Battle Order for Team #2 Darksten remedy on Throlar from back Throlar vs Mook A from back Soliman vs Tubbs from Front Parvati vs Melissa from Front Ooc: I might have intermittent connectivity the next few days. Lord Duvor can control Darksten to expedite fights if needed.
  14. As the Orc finally blinds her opponent, Darksten hopes the tides of battle will change now... Further encouraged by the hits the mutant was landing on his foe, the assassin assesses the situation and comes up with a plan. Reluctantly he reaches into his pouch, and pulls out the bomb he had been holding onto.... Suggested Battle Order for Team #2 Darksten vs Neptune Bomb from back Soliman vs Tubbs from Back Parvati vs Melissa from Front Tholar cements his place in history OOC: Lord Duvors, if you want to take over the two NPCs you are welcome to. Likewise, I think we can heal you next turn now that we have some breathing room. **edited**
  15. "Well eff..." Darksten mumbles as he watches his fellow hero turn to stone before shifting his fire to cover for the loss Suggested Battle Order for Team #2 Darksten vs Tubbs from back Soliman vs Shortround from Front Parvati uses scroll of blinding vs Melissa from Back Tholar rocks it out Ooc: I am open to suggestions. Do we let Tholar remain petrified to prevent future petrifications, intentionally KO with a free hit to revive with a Phoenix Essenes later, or heal with remedy (and absorb another free hit now). I am thinking a remain petrified or heal...
  16. "Right...well...fine. I was hoping she would figure that out on her own..." Darksten repeats Suggested Battle Order for Team #2 Soliman vs Shortround from Front Darksten vs Melissa from Back Tholar vs Tubbs from Back Parvati uses scroll of blinding vs Melissa from Back
  17. Darksten sees the leaders emerge, and quickly prepares to cut them down before they can flee. Hearing the dwarf offer his inputs, the assassin scans the situation and comes to similar conclusion before pointing out the respective targets to his counterparts. Suggested Battle Order for Team #2 Soliman vs Shortround from Front Darksten vs Melissa from Back Tholar vs Tubbs from Back Parvati vs Melissa from Back "Here we go" OOC: I am always open to suggestions (from either team) for the battle order/routine
  18. "I'd..." Darksten starts, ready to say he would rather stay with the human Watch rather than the...mutant...contractors. But saw the tide quickly changing against him so decided against it "...go where ever the team needs me." "After all..." he thinks upon reflection "...as long as that thing doesn't start another dang sandstorm, an open back alley could give me a better shot." "It is worth considering that that cannon the gnome has could clear a group of henchmen faster, thus reuniting the teams sooner. Them the team in the back just has to stall, verses defeat entirely." Ooc: I am down with whatever plan... However, Matthias would bring an AoE attack to the front group whole Solimon and Parvati would provide opportunity for some AoE coverage in the back (if I am reading everything right) .
  19. Darksten ponders for a second before speaking "Sure, every city is a mixture of good and bad places. Yet Eubric seems so much more...disorganized. Certainly diversity is good, but as you say Ma'am, it does seem to be no better than roaming bands of barbarians. I think the problem is that there is no clear leader, no stabilizing force. In the woods the food chain keeps everything in balance, and I think we need an alpha predator here to keep those below them in check. The fact that not even the watch's pay comes from a single source is concerning. Tell me though Sir, is there a particular house that the majority of the Watch is most supportive of?"
  20. Darksten politely smiles as Everyman jokes around. When it is clear he wasn't going to get anything useful, he distances himself and starts following the party. As Bert and Matthias chat, Darksten joins them. "The watch certainly seems like an interesting, if not disorganized, group. Are there not recruiting requirements and leadership to keep people in line?"
  21. Darksten awkwardly reslings the crossbow and begins to listen as the party returns to the club house Following Matthias's inquery he pipes up "I would be interested in knowing more about this gang as well. Are you able to describe their looks, how many of them there usually is, and/or any weapons you may have seen?"
  22. Pausing for just a moment longer Darksten is able to aim the fatal shot, glad it would be the final one so he would be remembered for bringing an end to the fight. At the request of the shorter companion he passes the loaned crossbow over to their Parvati mumbling under his breath... "Yes, anything not to get another blasted sandstorm in my face" After pocketing the gold passed him, Darksten quickly rumages around the bar looking to see if there is anything else to supplement his income, be it coin or drink "If we are going to leave we better travel fast, we already draw stares of the locals and now we have blood covered city watch gear so I doubt we will have many friends..."
  23. The raging sandstorm continues to throw Darksten's arrows off course, much to the frustration of a man who expected so much better of himself. Darksten repeats hoping for better outcomes
  24. Darksten watches as more of his foes fall with very few, if any, of his arrows in them. As it came down to his team verses the lone bartender, the assassin tried to take extra effort to make his arrows fly true. Darksten attacks the Rat's Behind Owner from the back row
