  1. KDM said you need to PM him if you want a tag.
  2. Star Wars is looking strong! Thanks for the summaries and for another year of hard work, Staff members.
  3. Mustafa Nidia here, where do I sign? MegaBloks, it's hot. Where's an air conditioner when you need one?
  4. Wow. That's weird. I guess I'm more famous than I thought. I don't even use Facebook.
  5. QM Note:Remember, you never had to build the catapult. In addition, a large amount of the benefit the catapult provides depends on how you built it and what you load it with. But yes, it can be a way for melee units to launch long-ranged attacks.
  6. QM Note:No. That'd be too easy.
  7. Beaten Sith Apprentice - Today I blogged the new Star Wars product videos that grogall found at about the same time KimT did, and he beat me to it. Then, because of a discussion about the videos in that blog post, I went to register a YouTube account for the blog at the same time that KimT did, and he beat me to it again. I said in the Rebel Blogger's Forum that today must be 'Get Beaten by KimT Day'. Whoever gave it to me didn't leave a trace on my profile, but I think the answer's rather obvious, right, KimT?
  8. QM Note:I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but you need two heroes to man the catapult.
  9. I say they shouldn't be allowed to. After all, they're usually away from Eubric, so physically in-universe they can't be at the arena.
  10. I think I'm 4070, Brick, Modified 1x1 with Headlight. Obviously, I love to build in SNOT and this is one of the most important bricks for SNOT. However, a lot of builders like to use other elements that don't have the half-plate offset for their SNOT builds, and regard this one as a less useful piece, in the same way that I think a lot of people think I prefer to build the vast majority of my MOCs from Star Wars, even though I've done quite a bit of work in the historic genre, so I think we're both more versatile than most other FOLs think.
  11. Nice find, grogall! EDIT: Beaten by KimT. Blogged here.
  12. I not sure which is more surprising: That nothing from Series 1 was chosen, that the Spartan didn't make it, or that the Space Villain and Mummy did. I would have thought that at least one of these would be from the hardest series to get.
  13. "Sir! The catapult has been completed and secured as you ordered!" Crude Counterweight Catapult* Level: 2 Health: 10/10 QM Note: Catapults have no special abilities. Rolling a Shield, Critical Hit, or Hit will result in a normal Hit. Any extra Damage will come from the type of ammunition you load into the catapult. Think of the catapult as a hero with a set Level, and the different types of shot are its different weapons. *Alliteration not intended.
  14. I love the intricate SNOT patterns for the tattoos and the shaping of the legs, but I think I'm going to have nightmares of the face with the mouth closed. It looks like he's smiling.
  15. It could be done before. It just always looked like this:
  16. You grab a torch from one of the many holders on the walls, while a pair of the Lion Pikemen lower the portcullis. QM Note:Correct. QM Note:I'm not your spy. You don't know. QM Note:Yes, you can.
  17. QM Note:You have, but, like I said, I haven't gotten to take pictures of it since I had to wait to see how you'd finish it and it's currently too dark to take decent pictures here. You can make changes to it for now, if you like.
  18. I believe it was renewed for six years, so it should be in 2017.
  19. Right now, joining the Rebel Bloggers is sort of on an invite-only basis. In addition, the four non-Staff bloggers have consistently demonstrated excellent writing skill over the course of thousands of posts. (three of us are RA Teachers, and Fallenangel is, well, Fallenangel ; which is not to say that post count has anything to do with special ranks, but just as an example) I have mentioned to the other bloggers before the idea of having many Contributors, and we'll remember to keep you in mind if the need arises for more bloggers to help with the CW Reviews.
  20. QM Note:That's what Jess (cralegoboy) said of my power before her first quest, and look where she is now!
  21. QM Note:I knew I forgot something. And horses can add bonuses to Level; see the Special Abilities of Lion Knights and Scouts. "We have 2 Horses ready for battle at the moment." QM Note:You don't know.
  22. QM Note:Depends on the Level of the unit and the enemies. Let's say you place one Crossbowman, one Pikeman, and one Knight guarding the East Wall. The Crossbowman can hold off the enemies as long as he doesn't have to engage in melee attack. If Level 4 and Level 3 enemies, say, scale the wall and attack, the men can hold off the enemy for 4 Rounds. (8-4=4; the Knight is the highest Lion at Level 8) After those four Rounds, then you lose one man each turn. (or you order the men to retreat, thus losing nobody) Sorry if this is too confusing. Like I said, I really wanted a mechanic that didn't rely on more party members and more dice.
  23. QM Note: I'll have a picture of the catapult up tomorrow. I had to wait to see how you were going to build the counterweight, and now it's too dark to take a good picture here. With preparations for the first attack in place, you run to your positions. The sun has begun to set, and some men have lit torches around the fort. You are met near the West Wall by Sir Lawrence and three of his men. "It's nearly dark, and it's obvious to me that this first attack is going to take place during the night. With the elves coming out of the forest under cover of darkness, we won't be able to see them until they're right on top of us. My men stand ready to assist you." QM Note: Lion units don't act like normal heroes or enemies. Instead, the Party Leader orders them to defend a certain position. If their position is attacked, they will hold off the enemy for as many Rounds as their Level is higher than the enemy's highest Level. (e.g., Level 8 Lion Knights can hold off a group of Level 2 and Level 3 enemies for up to five Rounds) When that amount of time is over or if the Lions are immediately assaulted by enemies with a higher level than the Lion units, the Lions can either retreat and be removed from the battle or continue to defend at the cost of one unit per Round. Lion units can be ordered to move to a different spot at the same speed as heroes. I hope that isn't too complicated. I'm trying to avoid adding more party members controlled by more dice. Lion Units at your command: Lion Knight x4 Level: 8 Special Ability: Lion Knights can mount horses. When mounted, their base Level is doubled against all enemies that do not wield spears, but halved against those that do. Lion Pikeman x8 Level: 5 Special Ability: Lion Pikemen receive a bonus when massed. Their base Level is doubled when eight or more are defending the same position. Lion Crossbowman x5 Level: 2 Special Ability: Lion Crossbowmen are ranged units. They can fire upon enemies from within and on top of walls and towers. The Lion Crossbowmen can hold off an enemy for as long as they do not have to engage in melee battle, only then are they subject to the same rules concerning Level and time as the other Lion units. Lion Crossbowmen cannot hold off siege weapons. Lion Scout x3 Level: 3 Special Ability: Lion Scouts can mount horses. When mounted, their base Level is halved agains all enemies that wield spears, but they can move from one position to another twice as fast as heroes and other Lion Units. Scouts are too weak in melee battle to hold off siege weapons. "Where do you want us, sirs?"
  24. The Pinned section of the Star Wars forum already contains a lot of topics. A link to this topic in the master index would be a better idea.
  25. Monkeys and Scorpions make getting XP easier, but I think it goes without saying that the general rule of thumb is that the more epic the enemies, the more epic the loot.
