It's not that you weren't committed, because this is Day One when it's hard to be committed. You just went to the extreme. It's the fact that you suggested a random vote after other people had been accusing one another. There were suspects at that point, so a random vote wouldn't really make sense. The only thing I could see someone gaining from a random vote is if some other Scum had been accused and the person was trying to divert attention away from them. -

You must have some sort of opinion concerning the other suspects, and one little gut feeling of an opinion is always better than a random vote. Unless, of course, you're Scum and don't have an opinion because you already know who's Scum. -

QM Note:I know that was meant as a joke, but I'm going to answer it anyways. In-universe, your character doesn't know of the Health of the walls. They're just there so that you, the player, know that I'm not just deciding on a whim when a wall's had enough and comes crashing down. -

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day One

In my mind, the most suspicious thing I've noticed was Roger's embellished and ridiculous suggestion. Now first off, let me make it clear that I do not suspect him because of excessive roleplaying acting. Yes, it's distracting and suspicious, but something - instinct - tells me that that's not a good reason on its own to lynch someone. The suggestion of a random vote, as has been said, is odd. I don't see anyone as being prominently suspicious right now. Mehmet and Fritz Willpatrick seem to just be two dedicated, proactive people who are trying to have a bit of fun. Patrick is suspected for his declarations of innocence; Mehmet was accused of spam posts. Both are allegedly just post made for the sake of joking around. I don't support such behavior in this situation, but it's not something to lynch someone on. There are, however, those who have noticeably acted oddly. The two who's actions have been the oddest to me are Roger and Ophelia. Between those two, I suspect Roger more because his odd action had no relevance to the conversation into which it was interjected, so it to me appears to be one of those statements made to look helpful, but really aren't, and at the same time, it could have been meant to distract. Ophelia's reasoning for her odd action is partially understandable. I Vote: Captain Roger Goodenarde (Professor Flitwick). -

QM Note: It's been more than twenty-four hours and volcanicpanik hasn't posted, so I'll choose his action for him. I believe he is close enough to the battle that the best move for him would be to stay put. QM Note:There are creative ways to get down safely. For example, you could have spent 1 Ether to create a gust of wind with your Sapphire that would blow upwards and create a soft landing on the North Wall. Results of Round One of the Battle for Bric'Bay Fort: Xander Unth'or moves to the South Tower >Arthur Justus Regulus VII and Isabella del Toboso (Catapult) vs. Brobric Scout A - Critical Hit (Hit) Spag Bitterstalk drinks Mead >Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Brobric Elven Archer - Aim Althior Emorith moves down to the Second Floor of the North-East Tower Arasmyth RuGard does nothing William Harkenshire does nothing All Free Hits fail as all non-targeted enemies have melee weapons, not ranged ones. You watch as the first wave of elves attacks from the forest. As they reach the treeline, the night sky is ripped apart by an explosion as the two Fire Bombs are triggered. All enemies lose 10 Health, and the forest catches on fire. Xander, you move to the South Tower. Arthur and Isabella, you load the catapult with small stones and fire. The stones spread out into a cloud, striking every one of your enemies. 2 Damage is dealt to your target and 1 Damage is dealt to the rest of the enemies. Spag, you consume a bottle of Mead, which bestows upon you the Encouraged effect. Alexandre, you Aim carefully at your target, and the resulting shot grazes the elven archer for 1 Damage. You move down to the Second Floor of the North-East Tower, Althior, while you two hold your positions, Arasmyth and William. The burning forest causes an additional 1 Damage to all combatants outside the fort, which, right now, consist only of elves. In the light of the dancing flames, the battle continues... Why vote randomly? Just because you don't know who's lying? You must have some sort of opinion. Even voting for someone because of the way they're roleplaying acting is better than a random vote. -

Brickdoctor replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Something - instinct, shall we say - tells me that stating a willingness to change a vote if something more concrete comes up isn't exactly new and isn't really strong justification for what you yourself are admitting is a random vote. It's more of an excuse for what I honestly think is voting like a sheep. (and I'm not saying I've decided you are one, because something -instinct - tells me you aren't one to normally act like that) I thought we had already decided against a random vote. -

The statement to which you replied also stated that it was a joke when it said that it wished we could all be friends. I don't think Johnson actually wants that. After all, without disagreement, we'd lose a big part of our ability to analyze behavior and voting patterns. I don't see how this statement is helpful. It seems to apply to the conversation at first glance, but it's really just a slightly humorous opinion on random lynching - which none of us want and probably do not plan to do anyways - embellished with some facts we don't need to know and an accent that is clearly roleplaying acting. -

I don't think that's a reason to continually claim innocence when no one's accusing you of anything, even if you are 'playing with us'. Especially after you just accused someone of starting Today with spam statements, which were in all probability stated with similar intentions. -
Congratulations!

Votes have many uses beyond lynches, and I wouldn't underestimate their power. Unlimited unvoting is definitely a plus. I doubt anyone's going to go around voting and unvoting lots of different people just because they can. Wishy-washy voting is a Scum tell that's easy to spot; players should recognize that they risk being killed if they do it, so they should have good reasons if they continually vote and unvote. -

QM Note:You and Isabella agree on a target. You can also decide what kind of ammunition to fire. (right now you've brought stones to the top of the tower, so you may fire one large stone, multiple smaller stones, or something from your inventory or something that would realistically be close by to be fired, such as a piece of wood) Since Dharkan has stated that he will not be participating in this Round, you can make those decisions yourself. -

That doesn't mean that the design can't have changed in the three or four years since the concept was presented. I also wouldn't say that 7754 was "not very complex". Certainly not as complex as it could have been, but not simple. -
