  1. If it's a pearl, maybe it's in the water. I don't think I need a shovel to search C9.
  2. QM Note:Cutting and burning will get rid of the current rope, but the elf can always shoot up another one. Killing the elf will prevent him from shooting more up, but won't get rid of the current rope.
  3. Soulbound loot can only be seen by you and can only be picked up by you. Lower soulbound items (T4-T8, I believe) drop in purple bags; higher soulbound equips drop in light blue bags with red strings; Stat Pots drop in dark blue bags with gold strings; and the highest, 'untiered' items drop in white bags with blue strings. Once you pick them up, they're no longer soulbound and you can drop them in public brown bags or trade them to another player. On that note, all the loot worth storing drops soulbound, initially, so you don't have to worry about others stealing your drops. However, you will have to compete with the other players to deal enough damage to qualify for soulbound drops, so large groups are usually better for gaining Fame and XP, not loot.
  4. I said it would work if you had an Evoker to summon the Bigger Fish. You don't. The water was brought in from upriver by magic, and it drained back into the river. The river was never dry. Like in the river crossing scene before arriving at Rivendell in The Fellowship of the Ring.
  5. It does. I failed to reach a hundred quests even with my best character, a Necromancer that died at 304 Fame. The best drops are soulbound. You have to deal a certain amount of Damage to qualify, and then there's a small chance you'll get the item. (Attack, Speed, and Defense Stat Pots, for example, have a 0.4% chance of dropping from a god) Most of the equipment listed on the wiki also list the enemy they drop from. (for example, if you want good Wizard equips, the lowest higher tier staff, the Staff of Horror, has a 0.2% chance of dropping from a god, 8% chance from a Skull Shrine or Cube God, 1.6% chance from a Pentaract, 2.5% chance in a Cyclops God chest, 2.5% chance from a Ghost King, and 5% chance in a Red Demon chest)
  6. It does. If you complete a hundred quests, you get a Fame bonus when you die. (and there's a higher bonus that stacks with the first for one thousand quests completed) Just lost my Level 20, 90 Fame Sorceror. I killed two Medusas and a Beholder, saw the soulbound bag that would contain a Speed or Defense pot drop, ran for it...and promptly backed into a Leviathan's shotgun and died. Then I managed to lose two Necromancers, Level 12 and Level 15, respectively, in under forty five minutes. So...if anyone is up for team training to get back to Level 20, I have plenty of time in about four or five hours.
  7. QM Note:Everyone does gain XP after each wave. (except those Knocked Out, of course)
  8. Results of Round Three of the Battle for Bric'Bay Fort: Xander Unth'or moves to the South-West Tower. >Arthur Justus Regulus VII and Isabella del Toboso (Catapult) vs. Brobric Scout A - Hit Spag Bitterstalk moves to the North Wall. >Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Brobric Scout A - Miss Althior Emorith uses Grand Tonic >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Brobric Lead Scout - Critical Hit William Harkenshire does nothing All Free Hits fail as all non-targeted enemies have melee weapons, not ranged weapons. The battle is beginning to heat up, Althior, as you order the two Crossbowmen out of the fight. Xander, you sprint through the South-West Tower, ready to attack the elves on the ground on your next Turn. Arthur and Isabella, you fire once more, and the stones once again find their mark, Hitting Scout A at 2 Damage and the rest of the enemies still on the ground at 1 Damage. Spag, you pass through the North Wall on your way to the battle, while, Alexandre, your target dives out of the way of your shot. Althior, you cry out in surprise as Finnegan force-feeds you a Grand Tonic, restoring 15 of your Ether. Arasmyth, lightning crackles in your palm as you blast the Lead Scout at 15 Lightning Elemental Damage. You watch with satisfaction as the elf is sent flying over the wall to his death. William, ever patient, you hold your position. The elves are weakening, but they continue to move towards the rope. The battle continues... He's heading towards the North Tower."
  9. Sorry. If you're online right now, I'll invite you to the EB guild. I'm on USWest near the dyes and cloths in the Nexus.
  10. When all the higher bosses have been killed and a certain number of total kills have been made, all the players in the realm are taken to Oryx's castle.Right now, I'm a Level 20 Sorcerer with a Wand of Death, Cloudflash Scepter, Robe of the Illusionist, and Ring of Superior Attack.
  11. Gotham Day 1 was terrible. We were this close to lynching the Cop, and we lynched the Converter instead. Oh, wait.
  12. For 1 Def? Yeah, you did. Dragonscale is worth 1 Speed and the ring and T7 might be worth 1 Speed together (I've never seen them sold for pots, so...), so you lost about 3 Speed pots.Wait, actually, I didn't notice that the ring you had was Defense. In that case, you probably lost 1 or 2 Speed.
  13. When you first click 'Play', while the game loads, in the bottom-left corner, in blue text should read "Connecting to server name". Servers are named for regions, such as USWest, EUEast, AsiaSouthWest, etc. You can look up equipment on the wiki. The current Stat Pot exchange rates are Speed:Defense - 5:1 Attack:Defense - 3:1 Dexterity:Defense - 4:1-ish Wisdom:Defense - 3:1-ish Vitality:Defense - 2:3 Life:Defense - 1:6-8
  14. You need to get up to date. Graves can't be looted any more, and Priests are insanely easy to farm the godlands for Stat Potions with.Speaking of Stat Pots, CallMePie, unless you want to buy Tier 10 stuff (equips you probably don't want to use on a character that you're not maxing the stats of), you're going to get better trades if you offer Attack or Speed pots instead of Defense. (Defense being the most popular stat, Def Pots are worth more than the equipment you probably want right now - Tier 8 or Tier 9)
  15. When you first start out, it's all about playing it safe. Escape to the Nexus if your HP drops too low, and just keep at it. Know what you want to play next and start to store up equipment for that character. If you have good equips ready for your character, you can jump into a group of more experienced players and let them do the work while you reap the XP. (you shouldn't do that if you don't have good equips waiting, since you won't be able to get nearly as much loot in a group as you will solo)What's your in-game name, and what server are you on?
  16. No, unfortunately. The only cosmetic upgrades that survive death are pets, but you have to store the pet generator inside your Vault, and pets cost 600 Gold. In other news, I went after a new Quest Boss, Lord of the Lost Lands, and my Level 20, 106 Fame Necromancer got killed by a salvo of light green bullets that I couldn't see against the snowy terrain I was on.
  17. Round Five: >Sarick Lanse vs. Guts Holla - Critical Hit Guts Holla vs. Sarick Lanse - Miss You, two evenly matched combatants, attack each other once more. Guts, you move in aggressively to finish Sarick from the Front Row, but that turns out to be your downfall as Sarick finally gets off a Critical Hit that deals 12 Ice Elemental Damage. Sarick is victorious! Combatants: Sarick Lanse, Level 7 Mage (Xarrzan) Power: 13 Health: 11/11 Ether: 11/11 Gold: 35 Inventory: Dragon's Wrath (WP: 6), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Opal (Ice), Topaz (Lightning), Potion, Tonic, Phoenix Essence Guts Holla, Level 7 Rogue (Scubacarrot) Power: 14 Health: 13/13 Gold: 65 Inventory: Lifestealer (WP:7; attacks restore 3 health), Potion, Bedroll, Shovel
  18. If this is just another Effect from the battle, a Remedy should do the trick.
  19. Round Four: Guts Holla vs. Sarick Lanse - Damage >Sarick Lanse vs. Guts Holla - Miss With the statistics on your side, Guts, you charge forward to finish the Mage, but he's too quick, hitting you with a spell that deals 6 Ice Elemental Damage. You only just manage to get up in time to leap out of the way of a second spell. You two are breathing hard, now, and are equally exhausted and hurt. The battle continues... Combatants: Sarick Lanse, Level 7 Mage (Xarrzan) Power: 13 Health: 6/11 Ether: 9/11 Gold: 35 Inventory: Dragon's Wrath (WP: 6), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Opal (Ice), Topaz (Lightning), Potion, Tonic, Phoenix Essence Guts Holla, Level 7 Rogue (Scubacarrot) Power: 14 Health: 7/13 Gold: 65 Inventory: Lifestealer (WP:7; attacks restore 3 health), Potion, Bedroll, Shovel Both of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, move, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.
  20. Round Three: >Sarick Lanse vs. Guts Holla - Damage Guts Holla vs. Sarick Lanse - Hit Guts, you're limping a bit and are clearly hurt, but as Sarick prepares to unleash the coup de grâce, you nick his hand and land a Hit, restoring 3 of your own Health and dealing 3 Damage. You follow up with a Hit that slices off a couple fingers for 3 more Damage, in the process restoring 3 Health. The tide may very well have turned in this, the third Round, as the battle continues... Combatants: Sarick Lanse, Level 7 Mage (Xarrzan) Power: 13 Health: 6/11 Ether: 10/11 Gold: 35 Inventory: Dragon's Wrath (WP: 6), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Opal (Ice), Topaz (Lightning), Potion, Tonic, Phoenix Essence Guts Holla, Level 7 Rogue (Scubacarrot) Power: 14 Health: 13/13 Gold: 65 Inventory: Lifestealer (WP:7; attacks restore 3 health), Potion, Bedroll, Shovel Both of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, move, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.
  21. I attack Mellow Crab A from the Back Row.
  22. Round One: >Guts Holla vs. Sarick Lanse - Special Damage >Sarick Lanse vs. Guts Holla - Damage The two of you step back for a moment, but as neither of you is majorly hurt, you quickly engage in battle again. Guts, you make the first move this time, but Sarick is ready for you, unleashing a Magic Burst that deals 9 Damage. With Guts crippled, Sarick, you move in for the kill, but the Rogue rolls away from your strike and slashes his dagger along your arm for 1 Damage while restoring 3 Health to himself. Sarick, you now have the upper hand, and the battle continues... Combatants: Sarick Lanse, Level 7 Mage (Xarrzan) Power: 13 Health: 9/11 Ether: 10/11 Gold: 35 Inventory: Dragon's Wrath (WP: 6), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Opal (Ice), Topaz (Lightning), Potion, Tonic, Phoenix Essence Guts Holla, Level 7 Rogue (Scubacarrot) Power: 14 Health: 7/13 Gold: 65 Inventory: Lifestealer (WP:7; attacks restore 3 health), Potion, Bedroll, Shovel Both of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, move, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.
  23. Like I said, Rogues can wield ranged weapons. In the arena, the only disadvantage they have is the need to retrieve weapons. In Quests, however, Rogues can steal Gold, and the more Gold you have, the more weapons you can buy. Every Class has a disadvantage. Maybe Rogues are weaker in the Arena, but after all, the Arena is meant for fun and offers little reward in terms of loot.
