I think that having your NPCs speak French will just be a hassle for PCs trying to respond. Just have them use a French accent.

It's called bussing, and considering that you haven't exactly been free of suspicion today, I wouldn't say that your vote for Ensign Robbins does anything to make you seem more Townie.
-
Or you tried to look like an active, helpful Townie, and you failed. It would be different if you were drawing attention to yourself by doing something that wasn't scummy. Or your Scum teammates have already decided that there's no way for you to get out of this, and they don't want to be caught defending you.
-
With no limit on Unvotes, I don't see any reason not to get this started. I Vote: Peter Robbins (KingoftheZempk).
-
So if it do anything to solve the problem, then the reason you suggested it is...
-
What makes you think that? The game lasts a maximum of 72 hours. If that period ends before a conviction is reached, no one is lynched.
-
Oh, MegaBloks, not this again. I think we go over this every single time a situation like this comes up. Yes, statistically, we have a very slightly better chance if we don't lynch Day One, but we have no voting patterns to analyze, and we essentially allow the Scum to be aggressive, make the first moves and be in the driver's seat for at least one Night, since they're the ones who are able to coordinate and plan all their night actions from the start.

Because he's dug himself into such a deep hole that some of us (or at least I) don't see much way for him to argue himself out of this one.
-
That actually started with me; I called it something like a form of Chainsaw Defense.

On Snow Leopard it's User > Pictures. For most people, that'll just mean the Pictures folder in the Dock. I'm not sure what the exact path is in Lion, but I'm 90% sure it's the same. -

Yes, it is. -
The "If you lynch me, you'll pay" post is a Scum-tell. Resigning yourself to being lynched is also a Scum-tell.
-
You might try, I don't know, actually defending yourself, instead of avoiding accusations and trying to distract your accusers.Though I'm not sure that there's anything you can do at this point to convince us not to lynch you.
-
I'm assuming that that second sentence was a joke. Not sure about the first. In any case, saying something for the sake of saying something is an obvious attempt to try to look like an active Townie, and true Townies don't need to try to look like Townies. Because pushing for everyone to calm down is an easy way to look helpful because you are actually helping the Town, but at the same time not actually contribute anything to whatever discussion was going on.
-
I think he's arguing that he used Appeal to Emotion as a rhetorical device (pathos) rather than to defend himself with a logical fallacy.

Preview is the default image and PDF viewing software provided with OS X, but it also can do basic resizing and color adjustments. It does handle transparency properly. As long as you have 'Constrain Proportions' checked, you can enter the desired size of either the width or the height, and the other dimension is automatically calculated. (and you can adjust the resolution from that dialog box, too, though you won't need to since I believe LDD outputs screenshots at 72 ppi) -
All I got was "Everybody's lying and trying to kill me!!!!!", with a " " at the end for good measure. But in any case, there's no point arguing about it because: So you admit that it was Appeal to Emotion? I never said it was a scummy tactic; I said that, in my experience, it's often used by Scum. But, if you say you used it to convey some facts, let's look at the 'facts' you presented: There might be Scum defending you. There might Scum lying in this situation. There might be Scum trying to kill you. All you did was list some obvious possibilities. We never said that your telling people to calm down was suspicious. We suspect you because you want us to do nothing. There's a difference between being calm and doing nothing. So...we...should be happy that you're not defending yourself using what could be considered a type of Chainsaw Defense?
-
If people act scummy, I'm going to point it out. That's the only way to start getting something done. Can you even find one accusation I've made that I haven't given a good reason for? What facts? What facts do we have at this point that could help us in our lynch? None. No facts, other than what we can learn from behavior in discussion and accusation. You say that it's too early to be accusing people. How are we supposed to gain any knowledge if we just sit around? If people act scummy, we need to point it out, accuse them, and see how they respond. We want to get rid of the Scum. Ignoring scummy actions is nothing but counterproductive, and at this stage of the situation, we're in all likelihood not going to get any information from anywhere else. It's not too early to accuse people. In fact, it's so early that the best thing to do is to accuse people. I disagree; I think it does make sense. It's clearly an Appeal to Emotion, which, in my experience, are efforts to avoid suspicion by desperate Scum.
-
I suggest you reread the statements everyone has made during the day if you seriously believe that there is "no logic or analysis" behind my accusations.

You torture us every day with that. -
How is that supposed to help us at this point? (answer: it can't) This isn't a mystery game or a roleplaying game*. This looks like another post made just so that you don't appear inactive. Because I can't see any other way it could be useful to anyone.*There I go again, acting like this is a game
-
You're defending yourself with roleplaying? Based on the fact that that was the first thing you've said all day, I'm going to assume that that was the "show up and say something useless so that I don't appear inactive" post.
