I hate wiki coding and syntax. I did some work on the Historica wiki a while ago... I distinctly remember silently screaming at the screen, "Why can't you just use standard HTML!?!"* I don't really remember any of the code they used anymore.*Some stuff like scripts being disabled would be okay and would make sense from a security perspective, but basic stuff like links, alignment, typical inline CSS formatting...

Noticing the heroes entering the Hall and those preparing to leave for a quest, I decide that it might be a good time to update my list of items for sale: For Sale: Potion (Restores 10 Health to the target.) - 4 Gold (Save 20% compared to Portia's price.) *3 in stock* 10 Gold for all three Venom (Use on a weapon to make it cause a Poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A Poisoned enemy loses 1 Health each Round.) - 3 Gold (Save 40% compared to Portia's price.) *5 in stock* Fire Bomb (Causes 5 Fire-elemental Damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to Fire.) - 7 Gold (Save 30% compared to Portia's price.) *2 in stock* Ice Bomb (Causes 5 Ice-elemental Damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to Ice.) - 7 Gold (Save 30% compared to Portia's price.) *1 in stock* Water Bomb (Causes 5 Water-elemental Damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to Water.) - 7 Gold (Save 30% compared to Portia's price.) *1 in stock*

Raw Meat is worth more than any gem. Gems are worth 100 Gold; Raw Meat is easily worth at least that compared to prices for HP-boosting artifacts in the Marketplace. (20 Gold per 1 HP for artifacts in the Marketplace, and Raw Meat is a permanent boost that doesn't occupy an artifact slot.)

Wow, that's good information. Didn't know that. Posts like that are what make me rethink the Heroica Wiki concept, because, seriously, if this game goes on for a few more years, the story is going to be fleshed out on a scale approaching the Star Wars Expanded Universe with detail to rival Tolkien's legendarium.
-
I meant other heroes who haven't chosen yet. Fine, you have the first Raw Meat if they want to sell one, since I took that one from the Fields.
-
I wouldn't say more powerful; it's just different. Guardian Angel prevents Damage; Miracle heals it. Guardian Angel is a more powerful version of Sentinel and the more powerful version of Miracle is Roots of Life. I get the image of a boy pretending to be a knight/paladin riding around on his broomstick with a wooden horse's head on the end. Quest 62 heroes, if you don't know what to get, get that Raw Meat and I'll pay 200 Gold for each one.

See, this is another reason why it's a good thing that Lucky determines the "best roll" according to the numbers of the possible rolls in the class sheets. Otherwise Scubacarrot would list Steal as his best roll and accumulate a ridiculous number of Turns and amount of Gold, then change his best roll to Ravage and destroy everything.

Quarryman just used it in an Easy Fields battle, which I can't imagine he'd do if it was a one-shot, and it's still listed in Namyrra's inventory.
-
Huh, for some reason I thought Quarryman's Jade Lamp was a one-shot thing. Looking back at Quest 50 it doesn't appear to be, though. Oh, I sort of remember that... the only concept close I could find was the Scholar, though, and he can just use Scrolls or inflict some existing effects like Confused and Asleep.

Interesting idea... (And I don't say this just to tease Flipz. ) Spellbook (Accessory; suitable for all Ether-using classes) - This tome can be used to temporarily record spells to cast effects inflicted by enemies. The user may spend 2 Rounds during battle to record an effect already inflicted by an enemy in the battle. The Spellbook cannot hold more than 2 Effects. Each effect can be cast like a Scroll with a 50/50 chance of success at the cost of 10 Ether. Sort of like an offensive version of the Jester's Hat or the Trendy Handbag. High Ether cost matches the cost of the Scroll of Luck, I believe. It can be nerfed and buffed by adjusting the number of effects it can hold, the number of Rounds it takes to record the effect, the Ether cost, and/or the chance of success.

By selling her a locket to make her immune to being Enamored? (Including being immune to being Enamored with Docken.)
-
I'm more looking forward to McCafferey and Finnegan.
-
Oh, I didn't know that. Must've missed it. You took Ellaria too, so... is Slyph the most capable healer remaining in the Hall?
-
You broke the Guffington 2 party!

Sage doesn't seem like the right class for Pretzel - I admit that I've never really kept up with what he believes in and what he doesn't, but using magic instead of hitting enemies with his staff doesn't seem like something he'd do. Paladin is the only Advanced Class that almost makes sense for Pretzel; he might do better sticking with Cleric all the way to Prophet. (See, I can make a decision based on roleplaying; it's just not something I do for Docken.) JimB is already hosting Alexis, a Harlot.

Oh, by the way, if you want Potions or some of the Bombs (not the Smoke ones), I wouldn't mind selling those either. My HP is high enough that it's usually not worth using a Potion instead of a Grand Potion or a Health Core, so I'll sell the regular ones at, say 4 Gold, or 10 Gold total if you buy all three Potions. Sure. (Unless Palathadric wants it; then you'll need to outbid him. )

I've got a few Venoms and a Lover's Locket for sale, and I think Peppermint's got some weapons still for sale.
-
Hearing the Cleric's cry, I follow his gaze to see Althior."Master Cleric, that is Finnegan, the aura that serves Master Emorith. Carries around his items and things like that." "Master Finnegan, I didn't see much of you during our quest to the Fields of Glory. Good to see you."
-
Summer, maybe. I have to finish the set I'm building for Flipz first.
-
I thought he already had a second character prepared with a fleshed out backstory, too... A dwarf, if I remember correctly.
-
I want to pick up a Minstrel, too, first, anyways. Although Alchemist Guts could do the trick, I think.
-
Plus the team should include Arthur Sealing everything that can be Sealed.
-
I had a feeling that that would be the case, that's why I want to put together the Heroica Dream Team when I next go back to the Fields. Oh, and the current proposed Dream Team includes either you, JimB, or both, so you guys can tell us what the Specials will be and optimize our artifacts before we go.

Where'd you get '32', '33', and '34' from? There are only thirty battles total. (plus the Jade Kraken and the Crystal Titan). That's 465 GP, plus the GP from the two remaining Threshold Guardians. So you could get 500 GP if you cleared the existing Fields, but once the two remaining guardians go down, you won't be able to. (They don't respawn.)And yes, there are three battles in each of the other two farther reaches. You can edit the URL of the Western Reaches map to see the Eastern Reaches and the Northern Reaches.
-
No, the entire point of the Fields is that you go through non-stop battles in order to get GP. It doesn't make sense to award them in other quests.
