  1. I thought they were giving recent Pro account buyers a chance to downgrade back to a free account and get a refund?
  2. I admit that I did think of that. But technically this would be overconfidence as a strength. Although with a Black Knight in the party, 'faith in your friends' would probably still be a weakness.
  3. Hey, that could replace Intimidation and fix Mortal Hits at the same time. Overconfidence - The Black Knight grows stronger as he takes Damage, adding the amount of Health he has lost to each attack. Mortal Hit - The Black Knight attacks with strength equal to their Weapon Power added to their Level. Any Health the Black Knight has lost is also added to the strength of the attack. (e.g., WP: 10 + Level 15 + (33 max HP - 30 HP) = 28 Damage)
  4. Although to be fair, Sandy said that the Shield would be changed. If Hide and Dodge remain the same (and I don't think they need a buff), Docken's argument still makes some sense. He can't say that they don't do anything unique (I assume; we have to see the update first to decide on that.), but he can still say that they betray their party. Though it would become arguable that the shortcomings of a Black Knight might be worth whatever unique ability he now has. (Again I assume he's getting a unique ability.)
  5. Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't sign up for it either. I want to go on one of these Fate of Eubric quests, and Docken would do well with the Town Watch, and even though I didn't know she'd appear at the time I would've loved to confront Baba again, but I had to wait in the Hall for trades.
  6. The head? But then it would ricochet off that force field and bounce back towards the guests.
  7. Really? I'm confused. How did xxlrocka get there?
  8. Even though there are only two heads instead of three, for some reason this picture reminded me of the chimera Trigak.
  9. Scroll down to the bottom of the Additional Information section and there's a red link that says "Leave group name?" After you click that there's a confirmation screen:
  10. I have no idea why it isn't pinned. I assume that one of the staff accidentally clicked something to unpin it. I'll pin it again.
  11. I don't think that'll be a problem; the CW team has shown that they have no problem with overriding existing canon or with making the good guys win pretty much every story arc. They could also pick up the story a little later if they want to make the increased fighting a little more plausible. (Nineteen years is a lot of time and I don't think they plan to cover it all - though I could be wrong considering how far into the future Disney wants Star Wars movies to be produced.)*Hopes Zahn is involved in the story and Garm Bel Iblis gets a major role but knows it probably won't happen.*
  12. I've always thought that one of the reasons players might still pick Black Knight would be because of its 'badass connotation'. (Also the reason I think everyone could expect Rogue to be as popular as it is.)
  13. On one hand, I don't like image intensive interface that, as you might expect, takes longer to load. (But I know I have a slower Internet service.) I also don't like that I have to scroll down farther to get to all the info I'd normally see next to a picture that's now below the huge black space that the picture is displayed on top of. (But I get that it's better presentation for photographers.) On the other hand, as Cam said, I can't complain about all the extra space, and since I'm not even that active a member of the flickr community, the changes don't really bug me. If I use flickr, it's just as a host for images on EB, and I don't care if it's harder to find all the other options as long as I can upload a picture and embed it here.
  14. There does come a point where it becomes ridiculous. Yoda's and Windu's Force powers in the original CW cartoon come to mind, Force-pushing entire legions of droids backwards and C-9979s into each other.
  15. Good, that would support Docken's point. No, I know no hero would pay. But it fit the class so perfectly that I had to suggest it.
  16. Ooh, ooh! Coercion - The Black Knight offers to protect the party using his shield during the next Round. Each hero in the party must pay Gold equal to the amount of Damage he wishes to be protected from. *The amount can't exceed the SP of the Black Knight, if that wasn't obvious.
  17. And also doesn't have an HP-doubling Shield, doesn't have as high HP, takes full Damage from Free Hits, isn't immune to SP reduction, and isn't unaffected by lower-Level enemies. (Which doesn't mean that he's not still a very good tank, because he is.)
  18. Yeah, the Yeti Coat is ridiculous. Could at least have given me the Duplovian SP: 20 Shield instead of that Grating Stone. Although the problem with that artifact set up would be the fact that I don't think any of them have any major benefits other than SP, so depending on class a different artifact might still be the better choice. That would balance out better. Kind of a 'true combo' of Knight and Rogue, then. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Although when I think about it, I'm not sure if protecting the rest of the party sounds like sonething a Black Knight would do.
  19. Except it doesn't protect against Instant KO. But I've got that covered already. That's not bad. Maybe it should have some sort of penalty since you can gain something in addition to being protected. (Wardens can gain HP at the penalty of having the Damage protected being deducted from their HP, while Paladins and Knights gain nothing but also don't lose anything.)
  20. I think that kind of fits the class, the Black Knight being so blinded by his hatred that he acts first and thinks about the consequences later. (Whether they be a realization of what the hero had just done, an effect of striking the enemy so hard that some of the force bounces back, just plain exhaustion like wielding Leojagd/Greatsword of Lion Nobles, etc.) I agree with you that Druids are probably the one best class that you can't go wrong choosing or having in your party. I'm not sure that they can get the chance to truly tank, since they usually need to focus on healing other heroes, not themselves, but as you say, to me, their extreme proficiency in healing makes them a specialized class even if they do decently in the other areas.
  21. I was just thinking that once I get to Level 50, I'd probably stop using the Medal of Glory*, and along with Lucky Dies the Amulet of the Court would be a good Accessory for Docken, if you were going to go with a different class that needed a different accessory and strategy. *Give it to my second character and power-Level him, maybe.
  22. What is Atramor going to after Level 30, I forget?
  23. I'm not sure what exactly is a typical fighting style for a black knight, other than maybe 'dishonorable'... Maybe the Black Knight could have a Shield that used the enemy's Level against him. Maybe the Black Knight could have something like "sneaks up on the opponent and steals n Gold, then stabs his opponent in the back for n Damage ignoring SP". (Would have to be a lower number otherwise it would be either overpowered, slightly de-value SP-piercing weapons, or both.) Yeah, having started as a Rogue and really wanting SP is pretty much the only reason to go Black Knight, I think. But Black Knights being as bad compared to other options as they are, I think that in that case you should either start over as a different Basic Class or you have to accept the fact that Rogues aren't really made for that role and just wait for higher classes to start tanking. In the mean time there're plenty of decent SP-providing artifacts for Rogues. Mimes are obviously the best Jack of All Trades. Minstrels are pretty good at it, too. As far as Advanced Classes...maybe a Mystic Knight with a Healing Staff or a Paladin with a good weapon? Druids can't tank (in the traditional sense) so they're not a Jack of All Trades, in my opinion. The healing through Mediq and then using a Tonic can only help with certain effects like this Poison, while the Remedy can help with any effect even when healing might not, so Quarryman's move is a smart one. (Assuming that the battle doesn't take so long that he uses too many Tonics, but I doubt that.)
  24. Where? Haven't we all been saying that for a while?
