"Hmm, I had heard of Master Isaac Shawe, infamous as he is within Heroica, but I was not aware he had a brother. Similarly for Masters Heinrich and Henry Hinckwell. Madame Ladybug is fairly well-known, yes -- U'kin leader in the Guild of Invision, if I remember correctly. And I believe Lord Chauncey pitched a quest recently, so I'd heard of him as well. The others are names which I am unfamiliar with. Has Lord Guffington thrown a private party for like this before?"

I use Diplomacy. "Gentlemen, if I may interject an opinion, while I'm sure it is much appreciated that you are so dedicated to the safety of the citizens of Eubric, this is a large city full of many thieves and other criminals, and it would be hard to patrol all of it at once. Better for the Town Watch to respond to alerts while dispatching a few patrols randomly, to avoid spreading yourselves too thinly. I'm sure that your captain is in a better position to assess this than either you or I am, and I imagine that it would be best to trust her judgment. "Now then, is there anything we can help you with?"

I recently stumbled on the work of Master Beef (with fries) on flickr, and his work is very impressive. Take for example his Lambda-class shuttle: Somehow he manages to interrupt the smoothness and appears to have altered some of the angles of the ‘real’ vehicle — and yet the model is unmistakeable, it looks very Star Wars-ish, and it looks refined, done with seemingly tacked-on shapes but with purpose, like good greebling. Plus there’s some very nice shaping in there. And don’t miss his other Star Wars MOCs, like his Y-wing and his 74-Z:

And you adapted a quote in describing it, too! (Even if it's a quote from Clones. )
-
Oops, I forgot to add "and whoever those people told" to my post. Yeah, Tarkin and other similarly high-ranked Imperials could probably have dug up the info/trusted enough by Palpatine to know. But they're probably not going to be telling anyone else.

WBD said in his first post that the gems reflect the light of their color perpendicular to the direction the light entered.

Permanently increases WP of a weapon by 1. (There's also Bright Polish which does the same for SP of a shield or artifact.)

Has it been confirmed that that is the title? I'm not sure that that is the title of the game itself or just a part of the teaser, announcing that the series itself is back, not just another game. If it is the title of the game, it's not that unusual, to stop numbering the sequels and either use a subtitle or recycle the old title. It is sort of a reboot, too, as you say.

"Oh, right, the bog witch Baba. I encountered her on one of my earlier quests, when I was still a Ranger. Master Thothwick was on that quest with me as well as at the Foundation Day ball, and he told me of her appearance. As far as we can tell, there is no limit to her power -- I believe you are wise to fear her."

Vader wanted to cover up his past, so the only ones who should know are those who saw him between Palpatine's arrest and his reconstruction, and survived. That's Palpatine, the 501st, Threepio, R2, Obi-Wan, the Shock Troopers who accompanied Palpatine, and some assorted droids, plus the security recordings in the Temple. We know Threepio's memory was wiped. We know R2 is very good at keeping stuff like this a secret. Obi-Wan and Yoda saw the recordings, and then it's likely they were destroyed*. That leaves the clones, assuming they even realize that he was Vader at that point and not the only Jedi who wasn't a traitor, as they were told. That would explain how the clones/stormies would know, and how no one else does, as they could have heard it from other clones, but probably wouldn't have told anyone else. *Was that dealt with in Last of the Jedi? I don't remember. (Last of the Jedi was the kid's series, right? Where they can tell that Vader's fighting style and behavior seem familiar, but can't figure out who he is?)

I'm pretty sure WBD said that the light was already in the three separate colors - all three colors being emitted to the left by the diamond, and you split the colors off individually using the other two gems.

Not much to see in the trailer (Other than some nice effects that may or may not be in the game itself - I have no idea; I admit I haven't kept up with the level of quality games have achieved in the past couple of years.), but, wow. That's very exciting. On one hand, there's certainly potential for EA to ruin this series, but just like the Sequel Trilogy, it can't be any worse than what we've seen as far as Battlefront-type Star Wars games lately. (Which is nothing at all.)

"Ah, thank you, Master Holla. I rarely use these, as it's too easy for a Lucky Warden to get an Aura at the wrong time, which means I usually have to wait until the battle begins to see if I should use one. Good to have one just in case, though."

Ecclesiastes, our new History Regulator
Brickdoctor replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Welcome, and congratulations, Ecclesiastes! -
Docken does. Just use the plain smiley face.

"Good to see you again, too, Master U'Ordiussum. How has Master Guffington been lately? He attended the Foundation Day event, I believe - I heard from other heroes that that did not go well." OoC: Sure. Same style banner as Quest 39, or do you have something else in mind?

Nothing's been done to the land yet. All we know historically is that it prevented the orcs from crossing, and Sandy's said that there could be plans for a canal. No reason those plans can't be a road instead.
-
I think the orcs should have a road across the isthmus which they drag their warships across on logs, pulled by large trolls/ogres. (Think Return of the King siege towers, except with boats.)
-
You should also invest in some Smelling Salts, Pie. When you're not trying to spam Special Mirror, you can still use the Pheles Rod to heal yourself whenever you drop below half HP, and then avoid taking all the Free Hits by switching to another weapon with your second turn.
-
That's a good idea, too. Sort of like how in Civilization V, you can put a city on a one-tile-wide isthmus, and that allows ships to pass over the strip of land.
-
That's a lot of Bugbears. Good thing we have Nur and Hoke to satisfy our desire to see large numbers of Ewoks destroyed simultaneously in balls of fire.
-
Actually, considering the era Heroica appears to be set it, that's not a bad thing, paralleling the length of a voyage before the Panama Canal was dug. (The isthmus is even in about the right spot, between the Low Kingdoms that look like Central America and Mistaria which resembles South America with the Lance and the Mistlands added to it.) Could be an interesting quest to dig such a canal though. Especially considering that Baltarok and Goblonia are on the other side. Not that everything in Heroica has to parallel the real world, just pointing out how it fits geographically and chronologically.

"My name is Karie Alderflask. You killed my sister. Prepare to die."

Yes, this is around the time that it's revealed that he's actually the Immaculately Perfect Regret.

I know you probably won't actually make them attack something. It's okay to keep them worried. But you did it right in the middle of their roleplaying, and you said in this thread that you were stopping the (purely roleplaying) argument, and that's not something I think should be done.
