I whisper to Guts. "A Raider, Level 16.5. Somewhat powerful weapon at WP: 15 that grows stronger with successful hits, standard Heavy Armor for defense at SP: 5. Has a decent variety of alternate weapons, none of which are particularly extraordinary. I'm guessing a hero who only just multiclassed to his chosen advanced class, as he is barely beyond Level 15, and his weapons are not highly upgraded nor is his money bag anywhere near full neither is he carrying any number of buffing consumables, as is the mark of an experienced Raider. "I suppose in theory he could help by balancing enemies more in our favor, but I would not count on that and would prefer someone who could hold his own in a fight against the more powerful enemies we usually face. Additionally, his is a role that you already fill, and are probably better at." OoC:

As I finish writing my name down, I move to stand next to Guts.

Nah, the NPCs can't do anything while the heroes are just discussing things among themselves.

"Ah, excellent." I sign up for Quest 72: A Party.

Wow, they all follow the same naming convention except for the picture for the one day when you try to exploit that.
-
By the way, even though the Brickshelf folder isn't public, you could just open up one of the previous images in a new tab and change the number in the image name in the URL to the appropriate day.

Taking Kai NRG's example gallery: Set on flickr You just need to use the url tags instead of only copy-pasting the URL into the editor. [url="http://www.flickr.com/photos/29804947@N08/sets/72157626263347638/"]Set on flickr[/url] -
I went and compiled a list of all the players who went on one of my quests as their first: Quest 4: Taming the Lions Cinna the Dark (Darkdragon) - QMed Quest 27. Thormanil Nihai (swils) - Hasn't QMed any quests, but really should because he has those boots. Benji Carvenhall (Flare) - QMed Quests 42 and 57. De'kra (Tanma) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Ad-Hoh (ADHO15) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Xander Unth'or (posades) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Leo Aragon (original character of JediAnakin/TheBoyWonder) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Quest 17: The Lion's Share Alexandre le Chevalier (second character of Capt.JohnPaul) - QMed Quests 8, 24, 37, 47, 55, 60, and 67. Isabella del Toboso (Dharkan) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Spag Bitterstalk (Kenghis Ghan) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Arthur Justus Regulus VII (Flipz) - Working on his pitch for a quest. Helm Delvergrow (Sloop) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Quest 31: Lions and Lambs All heroes were veterans of at least one quest. So I've been the first QM for three QMs and one player who's about to become a QM, who have hosted nine soon to be ten quests between them. (I didn't realize until now how many quests John Paul has QMed.) Maybe John Paul doesn't count since he went on one Sandy quest before that with his first character. Not sure.

Nah, he's more like Darth Sidious the Maker of a Ridiculous Number of Superweapons Bosses.

Really? MegaBloks, I could've gone on Quest 66. I thought all scrolls were never automatically successful as a rule. "Always three or four there are, a couple more, a couple less: a master, an apprentice, a secret apprentice, a super-clone-Jedi-bounty-hunter, and some acolytes that apparently don't count for good measure." -Brickdoctor Well, that depends on whether you consider the apprentice's apprentice the apprentice of the master. Was Darth Vader apprentice to Darth Plagueis? On the other hand, there's the apparent in-universe consideration of Jedi possibly being apprentices to the Grand Master. (To explain Obi-Wan's being apprentice to Qui-Gon as shown in Menace and his being apprentice to Yoda as stated in Empire.) Although in that case, all the Jedi of the generations around that time were at one time younglings probably taught by Yoda in at least one class. So it depends on how you look at it: as Sandy being the creator of the game and thus the 'grand master' of all the QMs, or of the QMs who never played in one of Sandy's quests as never being Sandy's apprentice. Assuming that being a player means being an apprentice to the QM in the first place...Is this a pointless rant based on somewhat obscure Star Wars knowledge?

I've hung a couple MOCs before; the fishing line can scratch or cut through the pieces a little bit, but it shouldn't do anything major. Look for gaps in the exterior leading to Technic pieces that are inside the model, since they're usually already part of the supporting structure, won't be seen anyways if they get scratched, and have holes that you can thread the line through. Then you can add lines in other spots where necessary to balance the model.

It's redirected. I didn't pay too much attention to the current stats there, but if the Damage wouldn't affect Atramor if he himself had rolled it, it has no effect during Aura, even if it would have affected Tesni. (On the other hand, even if it wouldn't have affected Tesni, it can still affect Atramor.)

Really? The Bonapartes pride themselves on having eradicated piracy around Uland.
-
By the way, in the realm of the realistic, if I have to pick one of the seven factions (Eight? I don't know if the Town Watch is an option.) , I'll probably be picking the Bonapartes. They seem like the closest to a Lawful faction least likely to make a decision I strongly disagree with, with the manpower to enforce their decisions. Only faction I have reputation with is the Ziegfrieds, and they seem too Chaotic. That's not necessarily roleplaying, by the way, even if I do see Docken as Lawful Good. Docken is concerned with stats and wants Heroica to continue to exist and based out of a stable city so they can continue to be hired by other factions, which means winning a war if there is one, restoring order, maintaining the trust of the citizens, and enforcing the laws through a strong government. From what we've seen, the Bonapartes seem in the best position to do that.

It's not really new with this wave. They've been doing the new minifig thing for a while now, and I think it makes sense. CMFs have proven (what we already knew) that minifigs sell sets. The collectors still buy the sets because the want the new minifigs and extra vehicles, and the MOCers will also buy the sets because they don't care what the sets look like since they're going to part out everything anyways.

I want to play them again, too, but when I play them, I end up checking EB even more often than I already do, and I have spreadsheets of all the players, and I spend more time hitting refresh for the mafia forum than doing anything else on EB... I know we joke about there being no life outside of EB, but when I play mafia, it's like taking my insane activity on EB and raising that to even more ridiculous levels. Heroica's a little slower-paced and easier for me to check in on throughout the day, so for the past several months I've preferred just to QM and play Heroica as far as games on EB.

Or King Guts.

The effects don't stack.

I'm not conspiring against Sandy. I'm cooperating. I'm supposed to choose a side. I'm QMing the armies when I make myself their emperor. I can make them Immune to Hexed a the same time. Also, I'll make sure Emperor Hybros gets a Cloak of 100% Chance of Assassination if JimB makes sure Emperor Bartholomew gets a Shield of Immunity to All Damage.
-
Oh, MegaBloks, I just remembered that there's that rule that you can't host a quest that affects or advances your own character... So here's what we're going to do: I'll name Hybros successor to Emperor Alandri, JimB names Boomingham successor to Emperor Septrine, and Zeph names Docken successor to Emperor Phil. Then suddenly, a completely unrelated sickness sweeps through the palace in Drakencourt, and all the current emperors and their courts are killed. ^Don't read that either, Sandy.
-
Maybe Smelling Salts are actually crushed Mentos and Mead is actually Diet Coke.
-
Oh, I don't know about Zeph and JimB. But since I don't usually differentiate between out-of-character and in-character knowledge, I have no problem with using my QM powers as the creator of one of the emperors to host another quest, kill him off, and name myself the successor.
-
I got a Phoenix Incense from the Fields and a few other consumables, too, and I'll probably grab a couple more before we leave. You're probably right; we should be fine. Though a Druid would've been nice no matter how many consumables we have. MegaBlokin' Dannylonglegs decided to leave on another quest.
-
Oh, what about Dastan? Can we pick Dastan? Does King Guts want to ally himself with Emperor Hybros, Emperor Lawrence, and Emperor Bartholomew? Now then, how do I play this so I can be Bartholomew, Count of Bric'Bay and Bartholomew, Emperor of Dastan at the same time...
