  1. Hi, I was just browsing the website of NoStarchPress, when I saw this It's the Unofficial LEGO Builder's Guide, 2nd Edition It seems like NoStarch has bought an color printer, because this book will be in full color and the Unofficial LEGO Technic Builder's Guide will also be in full color
  2. The teeth can also lock with the technic plates 4263, 4262, 4442 and 2719, but I don't know if this has ever been used in sets or MOCs.
  3. Yes, but since the last update it occurs less often. But still, I can live with it, it's still in beta
  4. Ok, I know this looks a bit weird, "building" this "set", but it was an experiment 3743 - Locomotive Blue Bricks - Trains No errors. Download here 3747 - Locomotive Dark Gray Bricks - Trains No errors. Download here 5900 - Johnny Thunder - Trains No errors. Download here 5918 - Scorpion Tracker - Trains No errors. Download here
  5. I can recommend sr3d builder. Because it works like ldd and it has the functions of mlcad and even more. It is even mostly made for LEGO Technic, with an animation console to test your technic funtions.
  6. No, no, Alasdair Ryan's wheelbase uses 2 axles to keep them together, so in theory, the bottom 3L beam is useless, it doesn't ad anything to the sturdynes
  7. You can leave the bottom 3L beam, to make it look better
  8. Do you now your current contstruction won't work, because one of your T beams is in a gear-rack? And the lower parts of the "wheels" aren't attached at all?
  9. Can you share your l3b file? Both the track part and the chain part? I think I can make something nice, but I can't promise
  10. He has made so many MOCs, he as almost nothing left
  11. Does it automaticly places it in the right folder? BTW; if your software was able to sort and organize my real parts like that, I would buy it for €50
  12. That's weird, in the past, I was always able to open lcd files in LDview. Maybe I had just some luck, or LDview is just broken. But, since it uses the LDraw library, I think I have to accept the lcd files. EDIT; after a bit of googling (if that's a word ), you can save .lcd files as .dat or as .ldr by simply pressing "save as" It both doesn't work for me, maybe I just have to reinstall leocad
  13. If the nameplates are in the file, please remove them, otherwise; no problem (I wanted to check myself, but for some reason my LeoCad won't work )
  14. Just say everything or just say nothing. It's very annoing if there's someone who knows more about the sets, but only tells little bits But I do understand
  15. Full color I didn't realised that, but that's great
  16. I have such a good memories with this set It was my first time in a Lego store, and I bought this one together with the Technic Combine Harvester. They were both on sale, so I had both for less than the original price of one of them. When put together, this set (and the combine) was so much more than I had expected from a tractor
  17. A lot of cuts!? More=better Anyway, I preordered this book a few weeks ago, and I can't wait until it arrives. Amazon first said it was in december, but I got a mail from Amazon; it's in november EDIT: how is it possible to have 352 pages, when the pdf index says it's at 326-333? What's after it?
  18. A little too late... Index update 13 sets added I'm trying to get the right subthemes I hope to get Brickset themes in the future
  19. Please put 1 model in 1 file, as stated in the rules. Please also specify which models you've made, e.g Model A, Model B. Also at you're super soarer. It's to avoid confusion when the other models are made. In general, I choose the model letter like this; 1st model in the book is Model A, 2nd model in the book is Model B etc.
  20. Where did you get this boxes? Do you have a name/type?
  21. Index update: 12 sets added The themes and subthemes are acfording to Bricklink now, thanks to Superkalle, indexing can be done much faster now, but we have to use the Bricklink theme structure and names for now. I hope to have Brickset names/themes in the future The irregular posts and incomplete sets can be found here It seems there are a few sets in the incorrect theme, I'm going to fix that, hopefully in the next few days
  22. My copy of the updated version of the book just arrived, and of course the quealuty is very good (as all DK books), but I don't understand why they didn't make a new foreword. I mean; it's the same as in the old version, it feels a bit cheap. But all in all, it's a good book
  23. You can try to just replace the .l3b to .ldr It always works for me
  24. You can use whatever you want to upload your lxf file, it can be DropBox, Google Drive, Brickshelf etc. Most of the people here use Brickshelf though, in this topic you can read a nice tutorial for uploading lxf files to Brickshelf
