Haha great job Oky! If I get nightmares from your latest one, then you really have done your job. I can't wait for tomorrow's!

The mini figures are going to be great. The orcs will look amazing, I'm sure. I wonder what the Witch King will look like, especially the head/helmet...

Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB

Thank you for allowing me to take part in this RCB. I'm glad I could help! -
Yes! This is awesome! Finally, we can get what we had always wanted. My only fear is that we're going to expect too much from the line. I'm scared we will get only small locations instead of nice big locations or useful things from the series.

I think it all depends on what you are going for. Both work well for brickfilms, but do you want to show minifigures moving in the desert for those shots, or would you rather just have the exteriors? Once you choose that, you'll have an answer. Hope this helps!

Very cool! I'm not usually a big fan of 16 modulars, but yours looks great! I love the design on the roof and the little details you added in. How long did it take to build? From idea to final brick?

Oky! That one was just plain painful! (In a good way) It was so funny. Besides, I think that is the worst nightmare of any SW character ... Great job! I can't wait for tomorrow's!

Thanks for the PM! I'm going to start it tonight! -
Personally, I'm fine either way. I think it just depends on what I am building. Now, I can't speak for all, but I think that I am like a lot of MOCers. Some things look good with SNOT techniques, while others don't. For example, say somebody makes a house in Classic Town style, would that look good SNOTting? Not really. But say somebody was making a large expansive seaside hrabor with Imperial soldiers and pirates. That would make more sense to use SNOT techniques. I think SNOTting is interesting, but only when used in ways that actually benefit the model instead of having it just because you want to SNOT. Then it becomes "snobby."

This is very interesting! At first, I thought it was just a little hermit's hut, but now as it has expanded, it seems like it is becoming a large place where the Islanders and hermit live together, with the silly pirates getting stuck on an island they should not be on Very cool! I think you may want to add water with some whitecaps as wells as msome tecture to the ground. Otherwise, I think it looks good so far.

weirdest place you've found random LEGO?
KotZ replied to slovakiasteph's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was out working and somebody found a Technic axle piece somewhere outside. I identified it exactly and he gave it to me. -
Good job everyone! These are all really good. Oky, you always have me rolling on the floor laughing with yours!

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion

I am so sorry I have not been able to contribute much to Avalonia. Hopefully this weekend I will have at least two things up for our great guild! -

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
KotZ replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm still a little confused, Derfel. Am I able to take part in any title "mission" or do I have to wait for somebody to name me? I'd love to work my way up, but I don't know how! -

Oh, I just realized that I am going to be out for a just a bit more than a week (November 19th to November 27th) and then also again (November 30 to December 3rd). Does that mess up my chances? -
Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
KotZ replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
My people try to have diversity As for me and my men, we travel all around Avalonia, and I"m sure my orcs would feel right at home when we travel through the village. And that hammer, I believe it weighs more than him... those enemies may want to duck! -
Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
KotZ replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hail, Avalonians! If you will have me and my men, I would be glad to join! I am Sir Varen. I travel in my carriage, and as I traveled the world of Historica, different people joined me in my journeys. After exploring the the guilds, I decided that the best one for me to join was that of Avalonia. It seems filled with friendly folk who desire peace, but when necessary, will not hold back in war. Sir Varen The group If you have me, I am ready for any quest you send me on, be it creating a farm for our supply lines or recruiting an executioner. Long live Avalonia! -
Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB
KotZ replied to Piratedave84's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I'm fine with either. I say classic because it sort of keeps a more tongue-in-cheek style to the fort and it will make the whole build so much more fun (especially for those who did not have the original sets, like me) as we can "re-live" (except for me) what it was like to build those sets. But I also want a realistic set, too. I see that as "new" and "current" and it could show off the builders' skills. -

Just sent you a PM now! -
I'm not sure about the TownJr set. I'm just suggesting it because we have all of these road plates, but no highways! How do the figures get from one town to the next? All of the cities are not metropolises. It be quite a hefty amount of pieces, I bet just for even a section, but it would be interesting to see how LEGO makes it.

What happens when the world runs out of petroleum?
KotZ replied to brickmack's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, we can travel around on our trusty steeds (using coconuts) or we can take these hideous new Dino 2012 dinosaurs and use them to make fossil fuels. Or we can go back to the Age of Sail style stuff. Or we can go all WALL-E or even better, create our methods of transport with LEGO bricks... I think yes, the prices will increase. Alternative energy aside (as I have not seen enough of it to convince me it is actually usable, although it could be because of many being repressed by governments, such as nuclear power here in the States), I do think we will have a shortage someday. Most likely not in our lifetimes, but maybe the next generation or two after. Keep in mind, with high prices, other things will become more valuable. LEGO will go up. Maybe use it as a form of currency? -

KotZ replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
So I checked back at the pictures to see if the excitement wore off for me... No, still need two of the set. I'm impressed with the new figures still. I can see quite a few uses for the princess and Falcon Knight, especially. -
Thanks, Big Cam. I may go back and try to see if I can make it taller and fix the haystack, though.

I know there is no way it will happen, but I would love some sort of sets with (although they involve police) a action-show type theme. Think the the TV show 24 when I say this. From Chevy Tahoe-esque to helicopters to FBI Hostage Rescue Team operators (I can see a battlepack of them ), it would be an interesting theme. But I would not want it all around vehicles. The sub-theme would need buildings, whether an HQ or a place to perform a hostage rescue. We've been stuck with creating our own minifigures and vehicles for this sort of stuff, unless we use the Dino Attack/2010 torsos, but this is all wishful thinking. Anybody think an oil refinery? How about some more houses, such as two story with furniture and interiors? Or even an exit ramp for a highway? I don't think I've ever seen a MOC for that, so why not?
