  1. Varen walked back into the hall after the success of his first mission. Not too bad, he thought to himself. He saw a litany of new faces, people he'd have to introduce himself to. That could wait. He checked the board first. Preem, new missions. He signed up for Mission #5 and #6. With that, he went and sat down at his favorite broken stool.
  2. I kind of like the build so far, just trying to figure out where to best spend points right now. Vitality? Varen went unstable a lot.
  3. Woo my first quest done! Thanks WBD. Now just to figure out where to spend points.
  4. "I'll take the bulking stim. Thanks, see you back in the Hall."
  5. Nouveau Oleandia Dock and Lighthouse | Medium Commerce
  6. "Well, I guess that's that." Varen looked around the office. "Mind if I grab a whiskey for the road? Aethersphere made me parched." "Polaris, I'll take whatever you feel like handing off, I don't mind either way." Either way if Varen gets the whiskey or not he heads back to the hall.
  7. Do we have a list of saints of the Order of the Faith? I know of St. Axel off the top of my head.
  8. "While not illegal, it raises some concerns. What happens if this technology falls into the hands of bad actors?"
  9. As someone who pretty much only builds digital, I personally put a limit on myself to try to use 90%+ pieces that could actually be bought. Minifigures are a different case because of decals, but otherwise, that's my strategy.
  10. "There's a lot of bad stuff going on in there. From what Lars," Varen pointed to him, "tells us from his findings, and he can probably explain better than I ever could, is that there was this thing called The Dark Host from another reality." Varen paused, thinking what to say next. He recalled Lars asked to not say too much about his species. How much was too much? Certainly Oddspehere deserved to know some things. Well, this would be a legal matter? And legal matters sometimes didn't show the whole truth... Varen thought. Damn it, he chuckled inwardly, thought I got out of this game. "The specific reality seems unclear. What we do think is that this creature seems to have been researched on as a way to transfer consciousness to other entities, transplanting from one aetherdiver to another."
  11. I'm glad everyone likes the jetty! Thanks all. As for the criticism, totally valid. I definitely put less thought into it, and didn't wan to have just a street with nothing behind it. I was considering for the warehouse making it textured to look like wood paneling, but I found the green looking ugly in that way, and I didn't want to bring a dull color into it, since the dark blue water, the docks, etc. already suck up a lot of light. I'll certainly give some depth on the next build.
  12. "Yeah, you weren't kidding about it being different there. I'm good with going straight to Oddsphere. Anyone else have business here?"
  13. Thanks! This was a fun one to do.
  14. Great job! It was fun collaborating with you.
  15. Such a great job everyone! The palm trees are magnificent here.
  16. "Wait, that's not it... I love grapefruit."
  17. "Well, I guess if you're satisfied, then I guess I am. Felix, you wanted to get going?"
  18. "So you're what, a white hat aetherdiver who go caught up in the exact thing you were trying to stop your bosses from doing?" Varen shuddered at the thought of the transplant.
  19. As Nouveau Oleandia continues to grow, lighthouses, docks, and warehouses need to be built at the shore to ensure the growth of the town. Otherwise, ships carrying valuable cargo could be lost, and when they do reach port, there would be no places to unload goods. Here, in Nouveau Oleandia, safety is important. Well, usually. Those crocodile rides aren't the safest. Anyway, it's important to mark water levels, so when high tide comes and perilous storms thunder through, people can know how deep the water is. There's also on the left part of a warehouse. Of course, as sailors arrive, so do other people. Some are bars where sailors can get drunk, and others are houses of ill reputes, acting as a siren's song for famished travelers who might still have work to do, like helping unload the ship's cargo. But without a lighthouse, the dock and the buildings would be for nought. Good thing one was built to help ships be guided into port.
  20. "Hey hey hey, look buddy," Varen said, taking a sep back to give some distance between him and Lars. He attempted to persuade Lars, "You mind telling us what happened? Because I'm curious about all this, and after you've been hooked up to that tank, I want to make sure you're not possessed after that little purple glow from the console to your hand. Wouldn't want to release the tank creature into the real galaxy."
  21. Updated w/photos 9.5.21 As the war-torn town was divided according to the peace treaty, families and trade had been separated. Both sides realized there must be a way to keep the peace, keep both sides from turning to riots, and keep the flow of trade going. An bridge was rebuilt, with a neutral zone in the center of the river to allow trade to occur between the opposite sides of the river. Of course, checkpoints had to be established to ensure no contraband was smuggled through to either side. Other parts of this collab together with @Bregir and @Thomas Waagenaarcan be found here: South-Silitholinan side of the bridge by Bregir: <Insert link here when posted> Checkpoint North by Thomas Waagenaar OOC: As you all may see, I only have one photo. Sadly I rendered all the images on may desktop, and I'm traveling for the next two weeks (luckily I had this photo in our PM). I'll upload the rest when I'm back. Believe me, I'm realy angry at myself for this. And now that I'm back at the computer that had these renders finally, here are the rest of the photos.
  22. Varen struggled to his feet, not taking the hand offered. Can't let them think I'm weaker than I am, gotta be strong, he thought to himself. "Yeah... yeah I'm good. Gonna take more than a virtual tank slug to take me out for good." Varen stumbled over to the tank and creature inspected it, now that it seemed safer. "Now, I got a question: how safe are we now that the thing controlling Lars is gone? How stable is the system? Can we know what else could be infected? Lars, when you're feeling a bit better, think you can answer those?"
  23. VOTE: Noah "The Map" Nelson (JintaiZ) For reasons stated above.
