  1. For those who don't know: Lalandia is next to Legoland Village. So this could be an option as well. Do you know if breakfast is included? If not, what are the costs? What about meeting rooms?
  2. Thanks for the reply Markus! It's always good to hear something from a member being closer to TLC than most of us are. I don't think my posting can be summed up as harsh. I just collected the news we have from Jan. Maybe it would have been wise for him to tell a bit more about the reasons things are changing, no? I didn't write anything negative about your company. How could I? We have really generously being supported all the last years and I really appreciate that. Now it's just sad that - for an unknown reason - stopped. And we seem to be treated like any other fan of any other brand. On one hand I can even understand that they try to make money with us. On the other hand I couldn't feel more pushed back. And that makes me sad and a bit angry, too. That's exactly how it worked for EB as well. Obviously it is not working any more. This is exactly the reason why I posted "no more regular designer meetings". I hoped we could ask a famous designer from southern Germany to join in in our event and tell a bit of his job [chinese new year sets...] and the things he's working on. But do I know if this is still possible? The problem is: We don't know anything about the changes. That's for the "negative" part. I really love all the positive vibes in your and the other replies so far! True EB-spirit! Together we will have a wonderful event! I am 100% sure! And I can't wait to see you all (again). I also like the idea of donating some sets/figures/bricks. I will take part in that as well. looking forward to it!
  3. Dear eventees! It was about time to tell you what we will be doing on our 16th event in Billund this year. It has gotten a bit late, because there a major changes this year. The changes all come from the LEGO company and they are for sure not for the better... There has been some conversation with Jan Beyer, a member of the LEGO sommunity engagement and events team. Here is what he wrote: No, we don't understand So you already got it: There will be no visit to the e-store any more! Reasons behind this? We absolutely have no clue what is going on, what the reason is and if "just" Eurobricks is treated this way or if the whole AFOL community is concerned. But it gets even better. After a while Jan was able to provide us with the details about the AFOL visit program: So they are asking a whopping 267€ for that program. You can imagine our internal reply to this "kind" offer... I leave it up to you what to think of all the changes happening to either Eurobricks or the whole AFOL community. We haven't answered Jan yet, but I don't expect anyone to be interested in that program. If so, please let us know and we will arrange it. So let's sum it up: no more sets to give away as prizes no more bricks to build a nice event set no more regular designer meetings no more access to the e-store no more free visit to the factory that means: NO MORE (FREE) SUPPORT FOR AFOL! We could now withdraw into a quiet closet and complain that everything used to be better. But I don't think this is the way to go. Let's face it: TLC won't support us any more and we have to find a way to live with that. We are currently working on the program which will definitely different to what we had the last years, but we hope to make up for the sad news and want to somehow restart the event as a whole. Planned is to do more games, contests and building. More what we called socialising the last years. The event community will hopefully be strengthend by this - and we believe you will still love to take part. What we are not planning to change is that there will be one day in the LEGO House and one day in the LEGOLAND. While we are somehow on our own now, we need your input: What would you like to do? Do you have nice ideas on games and contests (we haven't done yet )? Please let us know!
  4. Of course I can be a room resposible as well.
  5. Do you have a picture or a set number?
  6. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks, cescpistol! I'm not sure what you want from us. Do you need the ID of the parts shown in your pic? The so called "cheese slope" (1x1) is 54200 for example. Is that what you need? Try to use BL for that: In the search field you can type a description of the part and it will show you some examples. For example "plate 1x3" will deliver this and the first entry (part 3623) is the part you are looking for.
  7. Hello eventees! In June we will hopefully meet each other again in beautiful Billund. Just like last years we want to stay in Legoland village close to the Legoland. There we stay in wooden lodges, where 5 eventees can share the chalet. The costs are 1500 DKK per night. That's 40€ per person per night -> 160€ for the complete stay. For the first time it seems to be without breakfast! For that we need so called "room responsibles". These people will gather 4 more eventees around them and will take care for the order (with breakfast / with towels and bed linen [both go extra]) and the money. So please reply here who will be one of the responsibles and who are the other eventees to share the chalet. If you want to stay somwhere else - fine! The program will be held on that spot though. You can also stay in the camping site next to this place. In either case please reply here to let us now who stays where. Thanks! EDIT: All the info who stays where here (room responsible): Holodoc / Redhead / Skalldyr / MajklSpajkl / MstrOfPpts / Peppy / Aredhel / snefroe -> Lalandia (Classic plus house) Jim & Kitty -> appartment nearby Rolli -> personal bedroom Henning M. -> camper at the campsite Soccerkid -> doesn't need accomodation LasseD -> accomodation nearby Cecilie & Ace -> will book accommodation, to be determined where yet Bonaparte + Steven, Martijn & Danny -> Legoland village Ecclesiastes / Ryushi / Lt. de Martinet / Calanon / Vaionaut -> all want to stay together with someone, but havent't found a solution yet. (HINT: why not build one group with Ecclesiastes being the room responsible? ) Pandora & Rufus will stay on their own The rest (13) still has to raise his/her voice... KimT Copmike Quarryman StarBricks Mechamike Ras74 Cwetqo -> might not come, will tell us on 13th of Feb LegoFjotten Legoduden Tosca me_minus julien4599 ScandinavcFH To sum it up: We will be spread all over the place, but most of us will stay somewhere close to Legoland village. We obviously won't have breakfast together in the village - but we actually never did that before, because some people always stayed elsewhere. Depending on the space the 'Lalandians' could all have breakfast in one of their rooms. Let's see how it turns out. The plan is to meet in front of the village in the morning and in the meeting room of the village in the afternoon. Even if just a few of us stay there.
  8. Such a simple yet ingenious idea! Well thought out. Thanks for sharing!
  9. To clarify: The 'core' program will be from Sunday until Tuesday. Saturday and Wednesday will be the travel dates. So there will be a 'get together' on Saturday evening, but there is nothing planned (besides breakfast ) on Wednesday.
  10. For all those classic space guys out there: Did you notice this set on the shelves in the background of the official designer video? It's 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport - a 37 year old set!
  11. Check newelementary.com for it! Same here. I would have posted these smileys instead.
  12. Check the last years in the link provided in my first post. We'll do something similar. About the program we will let you know as soon as we have somthing fixed with TLG. There is a lot of change on their side going on right now, so please Okay - you're in! We will have a seperate accomodation topic as soon as we know how many eventees we are. So watch out for that one. I don't think this will start before next year though.
  13. Yep. Right here. So please continue to voice your thoughts about the new set there. Thanks!

With colourful, step-by-step building instructions, this advanced set offers a rewarding building experience, whether you’re building alone or sharing the experience with a loved one. Since 1958, LEGO® bricks have been tested to the highest industry standards to ensure consistency and compatibility, and that they connect and pull apart easily every time. At the LEGO Group, we drop, heat, crush, twist and analyse LEGO® pieces to make sure every building set meets the highest global safety and quality standards. My opinion: This set is a nice mixture of the 2015's Detective Office 10246 and the Pet Shop 10218 from 2011. The color selection is beautiful and I am delighted that you can split the set in two halves once again. It is small like the Detective Office with a 2 story building to the left and a single one to the right. Of course I would have loved a bigger building, but the rest of the details makes more than up for it. It will be an instant buy - in contrast to this years modular building Corner Garage, which yet has to grow on me.
  15. I wouldn't call the people disliking this series (because of the figures used) haters. What the price increase is concerned - well, that's a completely different story... Please bear in mind that we have a 150% price increase in the last ten years! So I would like to express my ... disliking there once again. But I'm fine with everyone buying these minifigs. The don't waste spend my money after all.
  16. Seconded. I have never seen such an underwhelming series before. I won't buy anything. Even if it was cheaper than the impertinent 5€.
  17. I sincerely hoped you would ask! Welcome back again, mate! Open to each and every Eurobricks member! So welcome to the party people.
  18. I am more than happy to announce our annual event for 2020: We will celebrate our 16th event in Billund, Denmark (once again). It will be held from Saturday, 6th of June until Wednesday, 10th of June. Please reply here if you want to be part of the best days of the year: Meeting old and new friends, talk about your favourite hobby and just have a good time! No clue what I'm writing about? Check this topic to read all about the last 15 events. More information will follow in the according topic, but for now it's too early to say something definite.
  19. For the remaining picture the yellow robot arm is a key to find what set this parts belong to. First try on your own, then look at my result.
  20. You can also help yourself by identifying one special part on the picture. That's how I do it. For example go for the black 'screw' in the yellow/black construction of yours. On Bricklink choose catalog search and type "screw". You'll find the entry on place 29. Click on the link to the part and you will see that this part was in 239 sets. Oooof! But don't give up yet! You can easily skip the list with white, lbg and dbg entries Scroll down to the part of the list where the ones in black are shown and after a short while you'll find the right entry: 1291 Robo Riders Power Bike. from 2000. Now try yourself whith your last unkown query.
  21. It could also be 7150. That was the time, when TLG re-re-released a single set in 1999, 2002 and 2004.
  22. The yellow car to the left is "STRONG", set 7968 from 2010. The yellow car to the right is an alternative model from "YELLOW RACERS", set 31023 from Creator 2014. The fragment is from "BOUNTY HUNTER SPEEDER BIKE BATTLE PACK", set 75167 from Star Wars 2017.
  23. Absolutely seconded! The way you brick-built the frame is also a nice way to present the figures. And the photo itself: Crisp and clear - perfect!
  24. Fantastic build, nor only the colour sheme, but also the overhead track! Is the train able to run on curves as well?
  25. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks, grey beard! I'd say a picture would be welcome! TLC indeed never produced a tan technic brick as far as I know. Here you find a link to the colors the 1x6 technic brick was made in. So if it really was tan it would not be LEGO. Than again the print on the studs make this unlinkely again... You can describe it like you did above, my first idea was indeed it would be a 'sun burned' (yellowed) white. But to be more exact a photo of the brick - best would be compared to a white and tan brick - would help a lot.
