  1. Hi Panda! Welcome to Eurobricks. When you´re tired with us, try these links as well: Brickset has got an overview of all the sets made so far with comments of fans. Peeron features a detailed set list (what brick belongs to what set and vice versa). Enjoy your time with Lego!
  2. I´m interested in that question as well. I've never seen the use of the bogey plates in that way before. Great! And it would be nice to see some interior pics. Chooochooo ON!
  3. Looking very good! What brick did you use for the smaller windows to both sides of the very right white door? Here´s my latest work. Have you ever listened to the Cape Kennedy countdown? Did they EVER start with 11 - yeeezz! Now I´m copying your idea about the avatar! Now here´s your masters voice:
  4. B-OM-5A May I present my last months work: A new post office! I wanted to build a really cool building with columns at the entrance. The lionheads was a "must-use", too. So I finally came up with this post office, because I only own the columns in yellow. If you say "Mmmmh, yellow and tan?", let me tell you that the whole building used to be tan before it was used as a post office. For identification purposes it was painted yellow at the basement later on. Let´s have a closer look: On the basement you´ll find two counters. One for stamps and letters, the other one for parcels and heavy freight. There are lockers and a small table to fix the stamps on the letters or even write the latest note. The right window is used for advertising purposes. Outside at the front there are two post boxes for local and international letters. A stamp machine is added to the right of the building. Currently some precious freight is handeld, but you still may enter the post office, just ignore the security officer. On the back of the building we see a post bike and a postman is just returning from his morning route. Somebody left two parcels on the pushcart. It´s getting more and more difficult to find qualified personnel... My building is a real modular building - it can be added with the set 7731! The van then can be steered to the kind of "drive in loading" on the left of the building. There is a garage door that opens to the ceiling and closes if there is no mail van present. (For a better overview I took away the door) Now let´s move on to the first floor. I tried a new style here - there is no living area in this building! It´s just a temple of work. This is the place where all the letters are weighed, sorted, stamped and put to their outgoing folders. But there has to be some recreation. First a small espresso machine will help you keep your eyes open and if you've drunk too much, there is a closet in the back. Look, the boss is taking another cup of coffee - again! There are stairs leading to a second floor, but its all mess there. Old machines, lost letters and stuff like that. You don´t want to see that. *makes jedi hand move* The complete street so far: (Yes, I DO know there is the Green Grocer missing. I will take care of that in two weeks! ) Wait - I have seen that guy before... If only I could tell where... All three parts of the building: The brickshelf folder. Comments are welcome! I have larger versions of the photos shown here but I didn´t want to waste precious web-space. If anyone is interested in larger versions or detailed cut-outs, let me know! Fully detailed buildings ON!
  5. Oh yes! Like I said: Waiting is the key! Normally those lamps sell for around 40€. I found that particular lamp by luck - it wasn´t placed in the right category.
  6. Whooo - this smells like revolution! The only thing is: Why are all the soldiers smiling? This scares me...
  7. Hello Captain! And welcome to the warm and cosy place of EB! Mind to tell us a bit more of you? How old are you? What do you do with your bricks? Just collecting? MOCing? What themes do you like best? Where do you live exactly (well, I´m the only one I guess who´s interested in that )? Curiosity killed the cat ON! ...and I thought you were from there:
  8. Congratulations! I recall my first week "in business". You will certainly miss your time at the university! But hey - Big cash ON!
  9. Ha - strike two at ebay's! Today I got and Yesterday I already bought for just 18€! New lights ON!
  10. I´m getting more and more excited about our upcoming event, so I started this thread to have a brick-built countdown. I want to start on monday with number "10" (days to go). The idea: Post a pic of the number of days we have to go till the beginning of our event. Brick built of course! It may contain just the number, but I´d like to see an avatar or something else as well. When there is a creation posted for that specific day please refrain from posting the same number again. You can still try building another number. The result would be 10 posts with each post containing the numbers 10 downwards to 0 on thursday the 29th. If you did not understand what I´m talking about just wait what I´ll post on monday. Then everything should be clear. If nobody wants to join the party I will be building the whole countdown on my own. Excitement ON!
  11. That´d be really cool! Fingers crossed ON!
  12. Thank you very much for sharing this neat program! I don´t have a use for it right now, but I´m sure I will find useful ... later on. EDIT: I just had a first look at it: Great work - and I do have a use for it - NOW. And, no - I don´t feel guilty.
  13. Like all the others already have said: Your work is absolutely ingenious! Look at all those tiny decals! How in all the world did you manage to cut them so smoothly! You really must have some very calm hands. And the instruments are incredible, too. Hail to the king, Baby!
  14. Hey Big Supie! Welcome to the warm and cozy place of the brick. Your history is similar to mine. I also began with Classic Space in my childhood and restarted with 4512. Where in the deep South of Germany are you living exactly? Late Welcome ON!
  15. Great buildings. I like the pub best. When you say 'not cheap this time', would you please say what we will have to pay for them?
  16. Making a grand total of 125. Happy birthday guys. Jubilee ON!
  17. Wow. What a cool start. First I thought: "What the heck - I can´t see anything. Didn´t he look at the picture before posting it? It´s much too dark." Then I had a look at the text. Very well done! I can´t wait to see the real thing. Although I´m not sure I will take a ride. Diaphanousness ON!
  18. After a long time waiting for a great deal at ebay's I finally catched my own copy of the set 4554. The set I got was with some cool little extras like the two lamp posts with for lights each and a walkway to another extra platform. A nice addition to my SantaFe and the other trains. (The track was not included, don´t ask me why my son used blue plates to combine them. ) First Class ON!
  19. What a cute little steam engine! I like it. But what´s that? You used a brick from the classic Galaxy Explorer?? Shame! Betrayal! Heresy!
  20. Happy 18th birthday! Are you coming by car now to the event? I´ve got some boxes waiting for you... See you in Billund.
  21. For my part: YES! 15 and counting...
  22. Happy birthday! May the reality come a bit closer to your dreams. 50 ON!
  23. This is amazing! And sooo huge. I´m impressed. The smaller ship on the second pic looks rather small in contrast to the big one. Very well done. On first sight I can´t see any object for a change.
  24. I´m awfully sorry, but I think I have bad for all members who signed in for the Lego catalog. I visited the website today and they updated the shipping date to June. I try to get in contact with the publisher but I don´t think I´ll get the copies in time for the event. Hope springs eternal ON!
  25. Castle is dead - long live castle! Thanks to everyone involved in this beautiful idea.
