The Soliders? X-D -
Yep Bounty Boat is the name I always remembered and funnily enough that was exactly the set I had in mind when you mentioned 'Admiral's Launch' I have no way of checking but likewise I'm guessing South Africa used the same names as Britain and Aus - no surprises there. Good to know when I finally move to Tassie I won't have to buy all new lego catalogues X-D

I can't recall the 'Admiral's Launch' what was it's other name if it had one?

So really a very Indy Flag, you know this makes me wonder... We'd been talking in here about flags for other forums and a Nazi and a Soviet flag might be an addition to the Indy theme, perhaps if I design yours it should be posted in there with those sometime... I'll think about where to post it, in the meantime I will get going on your request. -
What is the difference between British and English etc?

Just doing my job... then again, people get paid for their jobs and I haven't had my paycheque from the British Army since 1834... >:-( -

I can't see why not, though Indiana Jones isn't usually aboard a ship in the 17th century. The flags are designed for the plastic white lego pirate ones - that scale so as long as you intend sticking on one of those. What did you have in mind? -

Please don't add political views and opinions into this thread, it's purely meant as a technical refference for people to learn from and I don't want it getting distracted from that purpose. -
Something like Broadside's Brigg always looked a little too lonely or out of place, for me it's the kind of thing that should be an additional building near to something like Eldorado Fortress. Most the smaller rafts and boats should be near bases or ships because they shouldn't be out in the big blue as a small craft far from support.

Ah, glad you got the e-mail. Welcome to the forum Wend, we look forward to seeing updates on your fort.

Let me see if I heard right... You're complaining because Imperials stole from Pirates who are thieving scumbags themselves? Who cares about the feelings of pirates... :-P

Trust me, if we did that the Blues would definately win and it's almost impossible to count because some people make what I call 'cheap troops' - imperial torsos that don't have epaulettes or backpacks etc. So I'd only qualify as many men as fit the official Lego minifig complete. Nah, leave the poll like it is, army listing is way too much of a mission. Thanks for the vote, only 2 behind the blues... perhaps I should find everyone I know including the neighbour's dog to sign up just to vote red. X-D As for your signature, I have designed the East India Co. flags, I just need to get 'round to posting them. -

Looking very cool so far, all these little ships. Pity they're all to small for me to climb onboard Boney's little steamship looks really nice. Can just imagine it sailing up and down the Missipi back when the greater Louisiana territory was all still belonging to France. And Pietje, yours is certainly very colourful and original. I like the photos demonstrating the different options with the set, like how Lego always did with new sets showing 'MOD's' Good work boys! *y*

That's actually the first time so far I've been able to see what all these flags look like on the hard white plastic for which they were designed. I agree with Phessy, shame about the pixelation. I am powerless to correct that now but you could always run that program for yourself to correct your design. -

Ah, perhaps Phred should have gone as far as to explain thus. We were beginning to think he'd been at sea just a little too long. -

Well he asked for the toilet plungers and I thought it best not to ask X-D Norrington has yet to see his flag. I was going to do a whole lot of the East India Co. flags but it seems only the British and the Dutch had flags for their East India Companies, would be nice to find evidence of a French one etc. -

Phred, your flag pretty much according to the description which for the life of me I'll never understand but here you go... -

Hello Bluedog and welcome to the forum. I see you are very new to Eurobricks. I'll look into a flag for you though I'm fairly busy at the moment. To get the exact image of that dog I'll need a link where I can source the picture to see if it will resize properly, else we'll have to think up something else. So if you can get onto that I'll have something to work with. Well what you asked for would probably be easy enough to sort out though the description makes me wonder if you've been drinking from the toilet again Phred, you do realise that lemon fresh bleach isn't really meant for human consumption. Then again, as you are a Pirate cuccumber (never thought I'd ever put those two words together) it probably isn't a problem for you. I admit your avatar has more than confused me but the description you've asked for is easy enough so I'll go ahead. -
In the end of the day one shouldn't have to offer excuses for the creation of any flag, it's simply offering variety of use. The nazi's are part of history like it or not the same as any other group or fraction and people can't simply tear those pages out of the history book because they have a problem with it. If we all did that there'd be nothing left of the book because everyone has some dislike or cause against someone else. It's just the relative recency of WW2 that makes people all that more phobic. I'm surprised people haven't wanted to keel-haul me for making American flags, they are like that these days. And quite right - it could have some good use with the Indy stuff as well as WW2 MOC's, though the later idea bores me some to be honest. I must confess that I'm a little hesitant to design flags that aren't relevant to the 1400 - 1900 period simply because I don't want the other lego groups swiping all our flags that were made for Pirates and creating a shortage. Again... hardly anyone uses these designs so far so perhaps it wouldn't hurt.

Has Indiana Jones made ancient history of Johnny Thunder?
Col. Whipstick replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well it's nice to see someone else sees the possibility of merging the two, atleast in Lego Culture. I have quite a bit of Adventurer stuff and will be buying Indy so perhaps when I get the chance I'll make movies with both of them... On the score of franchises, imagine if Lego had brought in Lara Croft, then the adventures would get really complicated. I see what you mean about Johnny though, he is a bit more of a lovable roguish treasure hunter. Personally although I may be a bit influenced by the Stever Irwin thing Johnny does or could have a slightly greener edge to him than Indy. Perhaps now the star of the show on archeology is back Johnny might find some sort of environmentalism to keep him busy, he does have that Alan Quartermaine, Crocodile Dundee feel to me anyway. I'd agree, Indiana Jones won't be as big as Star Wars, the original films never quite were. I was never exactly blown away with the new Star Wars films because to me Lucas sold out too much to the younger audience. Episode One looks like it was produced by Disney rather than Lucasfilm and the choice of actor for an older Anakin was diabolical to say the least not to mention the scripts were rife with pointless hashings and token refferences and appearances. All in all they were worth watching but don't compare a sniff to the original 3 for old school me. Now I hope and prey that the new Indy won't be the same and if the time setting, script etc is anything to go by it won't be and the fourth film should stay loyal to the look and feel of the old three. The Adventurers do seem to have more elaborate sets and scenery and the variety of that scenery, whilst Indy has the better vehicles and it's not unlike a kind of Jurassic Park motor club. -

Okay, here we go - Norrington's flag. Easily the most confusing given the amount of stuff you wanted on it but I think I've managed to make some compromising details into the design. For a start... England/Britain, France and Germany is impossible to present on a single flag with all the other stuff so I resorted to symbolism, given I wasn't sure if it was England or Britain you wanted I've provided the British Lion which is more an imperial symbol than the Rose of England anyway, also the fleur-de-les for France and the Iron Cross for Germany though that might really be a bit more Prussian. I didn't want too many colours going into the flag which would have been the case as you wanted gold and then the red, blue, white, black and yellow of the French, British and German flags would have been overkill. Red, whilst the common denominator was too rich for the gold and Norrington tends to wear a blue uniform so I thought I'd keep it blue for that reason, it should match the blue imperial lego uniforms nicely. If you're not happy with some of the colouring I can change that easily enough.
