  1. Another idea might be a dome build from slopes like this: Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks 'legodoctor' (Did you already introduce yourself in the 'Hello! My name is...' forum?)
  2. Yes, I absolutely agree. My point was more about not being passive and following the building instructions from somebody else. But being creative yourself, and creating your own version of a model. The result is rarely an exact copy, and you improve your techniques and creativity. For me the result is that I find building the Grand Emporium for example quite boring (the end result is great though). I prefer to make my own buildings in LDD and with real bricks, which is much more fulfilling.
  3. That is a nice machine. I would guess it is a sewing/polishing machine to repair shoes.
  4. That is a nice 2CV Looks like an older version.
  5. I would say don't ask, just do it! But don't forget to give credit to the original design.
  6. Those are some great looking cars 'Hoexbroe'. I especially like the first one. The color looks very realistic.
  7. That is a really nice building 'Man with a hat', with a great interior. The only comment I have is that the windows would look better with grey tiles above them. The front door would also look better with windows above it. But the curve of the roof looks great.
  8. The payphone looks good, altough the horn is a bit big. The Angled Lightsaber Hilt might look better:
  9. The colors are stunning 'Selander'. It really pops out of the photos. The details are great. The original Shell bricks are used very well.
  10. Those houses look incredibly beautiful! There are so many great details. The little alley gives a great separator of the two houses.
  11. Look for 'LDD Manager' in the pinned 'LDD Index Thread' of the LDD forum.
  12. That is a beautiful building Alois. Great use of the white headlight bricks in the windows.
  13. There was a whole pallet with boxes of white baseplate in the LEGO Employee Shop in Billund, and the red minifig seats are from the PaB wall in Legoland Billund. Actually, both are existing part / color combinations according to BL.
  14. That are a lot of details. I like the Deli best, although the upper floors could use some more details on the outside.
  15. That is a nice little shop you made with the limited amount of bricks.
  16. You beat me too it! I am also still planning to do a bicycle and scooter shop. But yours is beautiful, especially the interior. The row of helmets is great. I hadn't thought of that yet. And the workbench is very realistic. The ship and the racing car are also nice details.
  17. Let's see. 18. That is a great terminal. I like especially like the stone work around the window and door of the main building. The use of that engine piece in the stone work is simply brilliant!
  19. If I remember correctly, only the 32 x 32 baseplate and the manuals are not in bags. Without the box you should have no problems as cabin luggage. I did the same in my suitcase last year when I came back from Chicago. Have a look at the review for an image of the bags.
  20. Great stonework 'gambort'
  21. Nice idea for the windows.
  22. Very nice, especially the dragons.
  23. That is a beautiful house. All the details are spot on. Am I right in saying that it is a little bit bigger than minifig scale?
  24. That is a great looking building! It looks very realistic. You did a good job with structure and color. When can I move in?
  25. Another alternative is Lego Pick-a-Brick. You don't get the nice box and building instructions, but the price is lower and you get the same bricks as Design-by-Me. However, you do need to enter every brick type manually, and the price is higher then BrickLink.
