Yes now I understand and I agree with your analysis. Strange. Spanish TENTE was released under licence in the US (and Japan) by Hasbro, between the end of the Seventies and big part of the Eighties.

Studs Vs Smooth
Plastic Nurak replied to Ape Fight's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like to mix both the techniques. In the "supercar" I'm building, the central part of the chassis is studded and rigid, while rear and front suspension (front side with steering, of course) I use more flexible studless construction. -
Aanchir, I don't realize why until just a few years ago, incompatible building toys continued surviving after decades with success (TENTE bricks were on sale until 2005, Italocremona Plastic City produced until the end of the Nineties, etc.). Why, in a little bunch of years, the trend has changed? Plastic City in Italy was still very popular at the beginning of Nineties, when Italocremona produced the then new Power Rangers line; Spanish TENTE had a lot of popularity still in the beginning of this century. Cobi was uncompatible to date. Has this new trend begun because of the Chinese cheap sets invasion that imposed this new way of planning the building toys market? Maybe not, beacuse Tyco and then MB began to produce clones earlier. So, why?

Ultra car
Plastic Nurak replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This one beats #8070 at least for 5-0. PS Have you too used heavily the pieces of that failure called #8041 Race Truck for your MOC, as I'm doing with my s... a-hem medium car ? -
I saw a #8297 one displayed in the stand of a vendor during the last Legofest in Ballabio. I didn't like it. It has not three differentials, a working 5-speed-and-reverse gearbox and a working steering wheel. It's just a big toy with some special effect to fool the kids. If I buy it it's just to have a lot of useful parts. Long life to #8466, despite the weakness of shock absorbers.

TENTE wasn't a clone brand, it was incompatible.

Grohl's Creations
Plastic Nurak replied to grohl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Grohl's creations are simply fantastic. It's a shame that he and Nat Kuipers have not been hired by TLC . Let them working together and you're sure they'll create THE model, superior than #8880, #8480 and #8455 ones. When I see my bad attemps to create a third alternative model from a Technic set or a fourth one from a Creator set, I wonder if I'm right to pursue collecting LEGO models . A question: is the #8271 set designed by NK, as I remember?- 784 replies

Kingdom theme is renewing the spirit of old Legoland Castle. And, finally, we have two horses in one set .
