It's rugby, a noble discipline. Didn't you know the existence of rugby, played with success all over the world? Never heard of New Zealand All Blacks? LOL

I agree more with Lipko. In 1988, the Technic sets were in the market from 11 years in Europe and 10 in North America, so they were not a new product, indeed Technic had already become a classic line. The Technic motto at the time: "models that work as in the real life". Today a similar motto is used, but last Supercar (super? Ha ha ha!) appeared like a big toy, and not as a detellaid model like the previous ones (excluding #853, too pionieristic) and #8466 big jeep.

And HOG steering ... (I hate its massive use and I'd like to see more of traditional steering, maybe is the tenth or eleventh time or so I say it here ) -
Well, today Plastic Nurak offers you... #391 - Hobby Sets > 1926 Renault 40 HP (1975) File .dat: download here Errors: missing RENAULT sticker. Notes: one of the eight Hobby Set models, released between 1975 and 1978. At the time it was considered a set for "experienced builders". Designer: unknown.

And I'd like to have some Modulex brick, asd . The ideal to beginning with should be the presence of official Ldraw Modulex parts. Then, the original ones.

Ah, those Sardinians, so stubborn ... Well, from the Swinging Sixties I'm moving to the following decade with this model... #695 - LEGOLAND > Large Vehicles > Racing Car (1976) File .dat: download here Errors: number codes of some part differs between Ldraw parts folder used by LeoCAD and Peeron, I mean the old Technic Bush (x148 for Peeron, 585 for Ldraw) and the proto-version of the Technic brick 1x2 with hole (x455 for Peeron and 389 for Ldraw). Axles originally were in translucent white, whilst I used ordinary white. Notes: released the following year in USA (or entire North America?) as #491 Formula 1 Racer. This set contains three types of proto-Technic pieces (see above) in the number of 10 (not considering the wheels), but it's not a kind of proto-Technic set. Designer: unknown.

MegaCr#@p has its own fan-forum, as the Knex community too. Old glorious (and sadly, because it was not a clone, defunct) Exin TENTE has at least two Spanish language communities, as the both defunct Exin Castle and West lines have got their one. The only subforum we need is the one for LEGO's little brother, MODULEX.

The 'Golden Age' of Lego, is it now?
Plastic Nurak replied to Hey Joe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree with you, this is just a discussion among us AFoLs. But I think also that our perspective is altered by our own found memories. I guess, for example, that if there were an AFoL community in the early Eighties, the members surely should be complaining about the introductions of the minifig that, in their opinion, focused LEGO sets less on building and more on playing with. It's just an idea of mine, obviously. But I'm sure of a thing: TLC has lost its mission of being an educative toy. 1994 #8880 Supercar was focused mainly on buiding and showed how engine, gearbox, steering and suspension work. In my opinion #8070 Supercar it's almost childish because focused mainly on play, although there's luckily still a big focus on building techniques and so. Just my two cents. -
After buying Lucasfilm, Disney now goes for Hasbro
Plastic Nurak replied to Artifex's topic in Community
Excuse me for the indelicate question, but with all these mergings during the last two decades, I supposed the Anti-Trust body was outlawed in the US ... Out of joke, I'm a big opponent to an acquisition, also because I fear that candid parents, relatives etc (the ones who put their money, I mean) could be fooled by the "magic" Disney logo, making a crowd along the Hasbro-Disney bricks shelves, with the LEGO ones abandoned and suffering damages by massive dustbowls ... -

I love the essentiality (I wrote the word well?) of early designs. And then, I played with the European Taxi in 1989, because the grown son of a couple friend of my family had this model since he was a child in late Sixties, and when my parents visited them, to avoid the nine years old boy I was went to be bored, they gave me this little set complete with the original box. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember the tyres being grey, but black.

#315 - LEGO Classic > Big Vehicles > European Taxi (1964) File .dat: download here Errors: not known - maybe the position of the tyres. Early sets probably had the 1x2 brick without the inner center stud. Notes: cute little model, its story is a bit complex. Already appeared as a suggestion to build a model in the sheet printed for the #400 small wheels supplementary set in 1962; the fact that this sheet visible on Peeron is the 1962 original one is demonstrated by the color of the tyres that originally and just for only a year were white (from 1963 to 1967 grey, since 1968 black) and the lack of small plates (2x4 and less) to shape the model, because they appeared a year later (1963). Released in some market (Denmark, Germany, almost surely Belgium or whole Benelux) in 1964 (the picture in the box being the "smiling little child playing with" one: http://www.peeron.co...3?showpic=11716 - see the logo on the low right of the box, maybe a test-sale?), in 1965 in the other European markets (the picture in the front of the box being the model in a "natural landscape", becoming from that year the common one also in yet mentioned markets), and North America (via Samsonite) in 1968. Designer: unknown - but I suspect he could be Kield Kirk Kristiansen, the Boss.

A question about .lcd files
Plastic Nurak replied to Plastic Nurak's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I use it, but only occasionally (I better use LDD and SR3D) so I don't think to be the right guy to write a FAQ. I was mainly interested to use Leocad on Ubuntu, but yesterday I had a lot of problem while configuring the program from the folder via shell, so I did prefer download the Windows version. (previously I had an old Leocad release working on Ubuntu in my old PC, but it had a lot of lacking features that made creating something complex very difficult) -

I know the directory where the files are saved! I mean, when the cad file is uploaded I open it and I have the "code" that can be turned into a virtual model. Ritvik is the old name of the company now known as Mega Brands. In this time of worldwide economic crisis, did you need to waste your money buying a Megacrap set?
