  1. I've seen folks in SE Asia seem to have it. I can't speak to Europe, but it's not yet available in the states, so my guess is that it'll be later this year. At least I'm really hoping. This is the one city set (excepting the pet store) I wanted out of this year.
  2. I haven't seen anything about it hitting in the states yet. I'm hoping to see it in the late summer/fall lineup.
  3. eh. I don't know. In fact I would say that I do not collect them, as I pick up ones that will be useful in the themes that I enjoy buying sets for. Not to mention it's great that there are so many female minifigs, and all of them have great printing, faces, and accessories!
  4. Maellie Colombet - Jack to the zombies: "Who among you is the father of this fish? Worthy father, I admit, considering the sculptural scales of the offspring. Or married to a mermaid maybe? But please, spare me the image of this view, do not tell me that the Kraken was your partner..." -- 3 points. While I'll admit that a few of the others made me chuckle, I believe this response best captured the voice of Jack Sparrow. Well played.
  5. They Cancelled my POTC order also, although it was for the "London Escape" and not QAR.
  6. This is truly a work of art! Really well done!
  7. I saw on Toys N Bricks that this has been found at retail. I'm shocked that it's managed to get out to stores without even one picture breaking already....
  8. Tough choices, but I tried to limit myself to 3 of them... 2-- 3 points 21-- 3 points 18-- 1 point Awesome job to everyone who entered!
  9. While I loved all of the entries, I voted for Rufus's banner because it most effectively tied together the entire star wars series (ep 1, clone wars, ep v & vi) with an awesome idea for the text backdrop.
  10. Two thumbs way up. These look awesome, and the barn windmill set is far and away going to be a classic. (ok, well at least for me....) Thanks for the pics!
  11. Unfortunately I have to agree with the above. I loved the original pirates line, and the new one wasn't bad, but the POTC lineup seems pretty sparse, based more around mini figures than sets/bases. The only ones I'm looking at picking up are ones that will provide pieces to my kingdoms collection/MOC world. That said, we haven't seen any HR pictures of this year's kingdoms line up, but from what we have seen and heard it looks like this year will continue to be a great one for the Kingdoms line. I suppose only time will tell.
  12. Some of my own thoughts (most of which are in lock-step with others who have posted): 1) QAR-- I'm still not jumping up and down about this. I'd like to see other angles but I *HATE* the cabin at the back. it looks way too cartoonish. I may be saved the $$ here so I can continue work on my MOC ship or save for the Black Pearl. 2) London Chase-- I love the new windows, sword holders, and bottles. I'll probably pick this up despite the building not even looking like it'll be a whole building :( 3) Captain's Cabin-- like everyone, I love the globe. The "ship in a bottle" stickers are ok, but look to be stickers which suck. 4) Fountain of Youth-- I love the trans elements, but the sticker looks just plain awful. 5) White Cap Bay-- I LOVE this set. I'll definitely pick this one up. 6) Mill-- The wheel is pretty cool but the tower is really pretty plain/boring. 7) Island of Wealth-- some fun new elements and looks pretty good for what the pricepoint seems to be ($20-ish) 8) Which one am I missing?
  13. Imperial Trading Post, but I don't think it's as hands down as everyone else seems to.... I also love El Dorado Fortress. Also honorable mention should be given to 6266-- Cannon Cove. Edit: I'm not sure about the POTC line, they don't seem to have "bases" so much as random buildings.
  14. She's absolutely beautiful. Well done and congratulations.
  15. I voted for the elf as my favorite of series three, but I wanted to put in honorable mentions for both the Snowboarder and Tennis Player. I actually thought that I wouldn't want any other of the s3 figures aside from the elf, but after picking a few up, I've fallen in love with both of these. the printed figures are well done, and the accessories are pretty cool. I just wish a local store would carry these.... :(
  16. QAR looks interesting, but not knock my socks off amazing, especially for the price. I think the more interesting sets out of this are London Escape and Whitefishcap Bay, both of which I'm enthusiastic about picking up!!

  18. As a kid this was one of my all time favorite sets. Thanks for the review!
  19. Hey there. PMed you the other day, I hope to hear from you soon! Thanks.
  20. Have we heard anything additional about these? or seen any pics? I think this is the only line in 2011 I'm super excited for (save POTC).
  21. Real public confirmation! http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/lego-group-and-disney-consumer-products-announce-building-sets-inspired-by-pirates-of-the-caribbean-films-108925804.html I'm pumped! 8 sets in spring 2011... :D
  22. Many exceptional entries. Congratulations to all who entered. My votes: Morgan19: 1 The_Customizer: 1 PeR.N: 1
  23. Congratulations!
  24. I got my notice an hour ago that my order has shipped, so my guess is that they've exceeded what they have on hand for the first month worth of orders?
  25. This is actually a really good question. It's not as if TLG doesn't already have molds for revolvers and rifles or a history of not putting weapons in the hands of it's minifigs. That said, I actually fall in the camp that voted no. I prefer the peaceful civilian life of the city where weapons are not required-- there are not many toys out there that do not include weapons. Additionally, (and not to contradict myself) to the gentleman above who pointed out that he used to build weapons for his city, I actually find that creativity stimulating. Why not continue to leave out weapons and let people design their own?
