LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion
Dhivael replied to muscleman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Most of these don't even rise to the level of plausible, IMHO. -

The Unofficial LEGO Collectors Guide RAFFLE

I'd be torn between the 10179 Millennium Falcon and the 6399 Airport Shuttle, probably opting for the former only because of the secondary market markup which makes it entirely unaffordable. -

Artanis I 2 points natelite 1 point great entries all around though.

This, exactly. That looks amazing for a mainstream set, great first one to roll out. I really hope we get to see more in the next few days.

Sadly I can't see Lego developing these, but it is a great idea for a series of MOCs. Thanks for the idea :)

I love the work that you are doing. The deer, elk, moose, etc would fill out some great forest MOCs in a whole range of themes-- Castle to City, and tigers, lions, and cheetahs would be welcome additions to my Pirates MOCs. I love the idea, and hope that Lego takes this one to heart. Seems perfect for them.

Actually, I kinda like the design. It would also work really well as the foundation for statues or some-such.

I don't usually comment, but I have to say this is one of the most beautiful I've seen ever. Always been a fan of the lines of the TIE Avenger, and you captured the look perfectly. Takes me back to playing "TIE Fighter" over a decade ago. Well done!

I thought it said Target (at least in the US) at the Toy Fair.

Alright, well, after a year of mostly lurking on this forum, I should introduce myself as a latecomer to the train fanaticism. In the 80s/90s I always wanted a lego train set, but you dad collected Lionel, so we never got one. This year however, I got into it and picked up Emerald Night (during the infamous black friday rush), a pair of Maersk engines, and copies of both cargo trains on the market right now. Currently working on my first Train MOC, but it may be some time before I post it. :) Happy 2012!

Interesting. When I first saw it I assumed it was the same tracks as in the PF world, but upon closer inspection it does appear to be the train rail (3228c). I wonder if there's a way to match them up? The mining sub theme could be an interesting one to MOC for.

I picked up a second one yesterday, I figure since it's on sale, and about to be discontinued if you might ever regret it now's the time to pick it up. Ideas... I'm not entirely sure. Edit: both Amazon.com & Toysrus.com have it on sale for between $85-89 with free shipping.

I finally decided to order the death star from S@H today, but the order is now listed as "In customer service." Has anyone had that order status come up before? does it mean I waited too long before ordering it and they're going to cancel?

Kingdoms Minifigs & Bits for Sale/Trade
Dhivael replied to UsernameMDM's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'm also rather interested, depending on location & prices. -
This has happened to me a number of times. It never ceases to frustrate me. If it's on the shelf, why won't you honor the price tag on it?
-
If you can afford it, the Imperial Flagship is well worth the (additional) cost. Best. Lego. Ship. Ever.

I voted classic. Thus far, the sets from that era are far superior to the new POTC line. El Dorado's fortress or Imperial Trading Post is far "cooler" in my opinion than is Whitecap Bay. BSB or SES are superior to QAR. Now long term, I think POTC has some potential for some really killer sets, and I'll keep picking a few of them up. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Black Pearl, and hope for an Intercepter in 2012.

Probability of returning to Classic Pirates after POTC...
Dhivael replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Pirates
I absolutely agree with this. I never really appreciated the Islanders line. I would venture to say that I sort of got the feeling that Lego was trying to do a Mayan-type civilization which had an interesting idea, but felt poorly executed. -
Against my better judgment, I picked this up last week. I had been thoroughly unimpressed with both the photos I had seen, and from the review, and had planned to pass this one by. I'm SO glad I didn't. While not anywheres near as good as BSB, or the new Imperial Flagship, It has a lot of great details, and is a lot larger than I had expected.
