  1. So I showed the main picture of the tumbler to my wife to start to warm her up to the idea... Like I do with most expensive Lego sets. This was her comment... "At a quick glance it kinda just looks like a pile of unassembled black Lego." I looked at the pic and realized that she is kinda right.
  2. Here may be my first entry to a Eurobricks contest. I feel as if this build really speaks to the amount of time I have in my schedule for building . This turtle is what I'd like to call minifig scale. It also appears to be highly poisonous judging by the color scheme. I sincerely hope I did not steal anyone's turtle building technique with this build, if I have I apologize and will retract my entry if this is proven to be true. Entry to the Eurobricks turtle contest! by firstofminifigs, on Flickr Here's to completing a more 'substantial' entry in the near future...
  3. I could definitely see the TLG taking the route of releasing this ship as a highly detailed Expert Creator set targeted toward TFOL and AFOLs. Similar to what the Horizon Express was to Lego Train adult fans. The question is would you rather have a new Pirates theme with ~4-5 smaller scale sets targeted towards children that may be just as disappointing as the most recent Castle line; OR one epic brick built Creator pirate ship set on the same caliber as The Emerald Night? Just as the EN introduced large train wheels to adult train fans, its possible this creator pirate ship set would introduce detailed sails and rigging as official Lego parts. Which would you prefer?
  4. Watching that video is one way to get dizzy quickly. Nice collection How did you motorize the Constitution?
  5. The Constitution is my first Lego train (aside from the blue tracks I adopted from my father at age 4). I am currently working on powering it. I have fit the battery box into the tender car with the train motor underneath so far by taking out the back of the tender and using the extra dark green pieces (plus a couple others from 76008 explaining the triangle gap you see in the picture) to build up the sides to help disguise it in what I think is a pretty attractive design. I have yet to purchase a remote and IR receiver as I'm waiting on a good deal or to get them for Christmas (so frustrating), and until then I will not have a running train. Then I will figure out a way to incorporate the IR receiver probably on the locomotive somewhere. Let me know what you think of the design.
