There's one thing that concerns me about Smaug (assuming this is the version we're getting) and thats the wings. The connection to the ball joint looks VERY thin and could snap very easily. It might have been better just using click hinges like the Castle dragons.

Apocalypse can change his size at will. I think a big fig is the better option. Something like this would be cool: If they add hollow studs to the back of his arms and torso they could use this piece for the cables:

The only X-Men that needs a new mold is Nightcrawler (tail piece) - possibly also Colossus if they go the big fig route with him. Pretty much every other character on the team can use existing parts. The villains are a little trickier but there are options: Another Magneto variant Sabretooth if they print the fur collar instead of molding it Pyro Avalanche Toad Quicksilver Mastermind Mr. Sinister Dark Phoenix Omega Red The Hellfire Club Human characters like Bolivar Trask, Henry Gyrich etc Mystique - a new bob haircut would be preferable but they can always do the long haired look first like this Hasbro action figure:

What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
wesker replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
Finally the Elizabeth Swann hairpiece is coming in dark red. Hope we see it used on future Black Widow and Jean Grey/Phoenix minifigures. -
It was available if you pre-ordered the game at certain retailers.

The Star Wars D2C sets always hit retail a year after they were released online. So the Sandcrawler should hit stores next year. -
I'm surprised they went with an EU character. With Disney forcing Hasbro to stop making EU figures I'd assumed the same would have applied to Lego. Still he's a pretty awesome figure. Looking forward to it.

The green Phoenix costume is by far Jean's most iconic look - more than 90s Jean, Dark Phoenix, White Phoenix or Marvel Girl. It was a mistake to go with that one as the exclusive. Still I think Lego could still release that version in a set as long as the minifigure itself is different from the SDCC. All they have to do is change the colours of her costume from green/yellow to light green/gold, redesign the torso print and even replace the hairpiece with Spider-Woman's in dark red.

Sets based on the cartoons aren't all bad. They give us comic book costume variants such as Captain America and Mary Jane. They give us obscure characters that wouldn't otherwise be made such as MODOK and Taskmaster. And then there's characters from previous movies such as Red Skull who missed the chance to have a minifigure with the first CA film. While having sets from the movies is nice, I don't want to see to many of them just for the sake of it. Last year's Man of Steel and Iron Man 3 sets were pretty disapointing since there was so much filler - too many of the same minifigures and lazy uninspired builds that barely resemble what was in the movie. Instead of six sets, Lego should have just stuck with the Malibu Mansion and Kryptonian Dropship. Lois, Killian and War Machine could've easily replaced Colonel Hardy and the Extremis henchman, while the remaining four sets could've been used for other brands such as X-Men, Green Lantern and Fantastic Four. Even though Captain America 2 looks to be a great movie, there's very little material worth making a full wave of sets over. We've already gotten the SHIELD vehicles with the Avengers back in 2012. MCU Nick Fury and a SHIELD Helicarrier would be nice but they could easily come with Age of Ultron or another film. The only thing thats really missing is Winter Soldier and there's no reason why he couldn't be a Shop@Home exclusive like Martian Manhunter was. If I have any complaints about the Superheroes line, it would be the lack of brand diversity and the Comic Con exclusive minifigures (Phoenix Jean Grey especially )

I think he means retail exclusives. Last year we had the Jedi Defender-class Cruiser and HH-87 Skyhopper.

Glad we're getting a new Palpatine. Can't wait to see how the new face turns out.
-
Mother Talzin is by far my most wanted Clone Wars figure. Her design is too awesome to not be made, and with some green lightning pieces and a flaming lightsaber she would be one epic minifigure.
-
Hopefully the former. Assuming the third wave was originally part of the second before being split into two, I wonder how far along the sets would be? If they already have a bunch of new molds developed then it would be a waste not to release them. If we don't see a third wave at retail it would be nice if it can at least get a limited run on Shop@Home.

Really hope we see more diversity with the female characters next year. This year has been very disapointing. No Princess Leia or Padme. No Bounty Hunter Ventress in the Police Gunship. No Luminara in the Kashyyyk sets. No Aunt Beru in the Sandcrawler. No Sabine in the Rebels sets. So many missed opportunities.
-
I kind of hope they don't update Leia's face. I don't want to start seeing cheekbones on her.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Lost Missions
wesker replied to commanderneyo's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Its a pity Lego has finished up with the Clone Wars. There were some pretty cool ships in the new episodes that would've made decent sets like the Frangawl starship, Mother Talzin's starship and Yoda's mini Jedi Interceptor. -
Looks like a massive improvement over the original. Can't wait to buy this! Shame there's no Beru though.

Wish there was some way to watch them outside the US. We don't get Netflix here. -
I'm hoping he'll show up as a Shop@Home promotion like Martian Manhunter.

With Leia its so we can get minifigures of both the white jumpsuit and the red gown she has in Bespin. Lego is unlikely to include both in the same set unless its a D2C like the Death Star. There's also the issue of Lego not making new molds for D2C sets so having her available in a retail set is the only way she can get a proper Bespin hairpiece.
-
The Batmobile from the two Burton movies would be awesome. Even better if it came with a minifigure of Michelle Pheiffer's Catwoman.

Hopefully we'll see some Bespin themed sets next year. I know I've said this before but the Cloud Car should really be a separate release from Cloud City. I think combining them into one runs the risk of losing a lot of detail for both sets, not to mention limits the number of characters we can get. Having Slave I in the same wave would really help spread the characters out even more: Cloud Car Princess Leia (Bespin Escape) Chewbacca Cloud Car Pilot Stormtrooper Cloud City Luke Han (Bespin) Leia (Bespin Gown) Darth Vader Lando Lobot Bespin Guard Ugnaught Slave I Boba Fett Han (white shirt) Zuckuss 4-LOM Carbonite Block Pretty much everyone would be covered this way.

Gender diversity has been great with the Superheroes line. Its a shame Star Wars has taken a step backwards this year with only two female characters in the line up and only one of which is new. As for Storm I've never really cared for the mohawk look much. I always liked the long hair better. If we ever get another variant I prefer the white uniform from the 90s cartoon over the mohawk.
