LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
wesker replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Anyone else notice Shazam in the game is different from the exclusive SDCC figure? -
Don't forget the mandatory Gandalf minifigure. What are the chances of Lego releasing a new wave without him in any of the sets?

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
wesker replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
It could just be they're not ready to reveal the Vision just yet which is why we only have the shot from behind. -
Legolas could go either way depending on whether Lego wants to include a fan favourite for casual consumers much like we see with Gandalf all the time. But Tauriel I think there's a strong chance based on her alternate costume in the game, which looks a lot more authentic as a minifigure than the other Lake-Town characters.

We're just getting the important ones this time. Thorin aside this is probably the only set thats going to feature any dwarves which is why we're getting Kili and Fili here rather than Lake-Town. That set is already going to feature Bard and Bain - probably the new Tauriel from the video game as well. Then you have all the other characters to consider between Lake-Town and the Battle of Five Armies like Thorin, Dain, Gandalf, Bear Beorn, Bolg, Thranduil, Legolas etc. It doesn't leave much room for the other dwarves.

The OT will always have a place in the line even after the new movies start hitting theatres, but I really can't see the same happening for the prequels. Next year is really our last chance to get any more sets from those films. Even if the line up heavily focuses on Rebels and the OT, I hope they can at least squeeze in an updated AAT or Bounty Hunter Pursuit before it ends.

I really don't understand the complaints about getting reskinned dwarves in this set. Aside from Bilbo and Smaug, who else were you expecting to see?
-
No, it was just the Green Lantern set and the UCS Tumbler.

Anyone else hope they update Thor in the new Avengers sets? I think he would look a lot more accurate using Bard's hairpiece in dark tan rather than the bright yellow Aragorn one. -
That would be great. Green Arrow and Phoenix are the two I want to appear in a set most.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
wesker replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't forget the original Avengers line had a lot of repeats with multiple Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Loki and Chitauri minifigures. The four sets gave us a total of 15 figures which is plenty to cover everyone in the sequel. -
Thorin being excluded from the Lonely Mountain makes me think BOFA won't be the army builder we're hoping for. He's too much of an important character not to appear in the final wave. I think we'll be seeing something more along the lines of the Black Gate and Dol Guldur Battle with only 2 generic orcs and the rest of the line up being important characters like Thorin, Dain, Gandalf, Bear Beorn... maybe armoured Thranduil if we're lucky. I'm glad we're getting Kili and Fili. If we're only getting 5 dwarves this wave instead of all 13, it might as well be the most important ones in the final movie.

That sounds about right. Four sets should be enough to cover all the important characters. -
Looks pretty good. At first I was a little underwelmed by the size but it seems like there may still be more of the set cropped off on the side. Love the dwarvish architecture and the colours. The sand green and gold really help the set stand out from the others in the line. Smaug looks amazing but I hope those ball joint wings are durable. The connection looked a bit weak in the video game like they could snape easily. Only 5 minifigures is a little underwelming but I'm glad they're including the more important dwarves in the set, even if not all of them were present during the scene. Saves room for other characters in the remaining sets.

Finally a Green Lantern set! And it definitely looks like its worth the wait! Everything about the set and the minifigures looks awesome. Hopefully this sells well so we can see more Green Lantern themed sets in the future.
-
Love the idea of a Middle Earth Advent Calender, especially if it comes with Santa Gandalf and some long overdue characters like Eowyn and Faramir.
-
Its a shame Superman isn't wearing his new costume from the game. Maybe the poster only includes the new figures from the set thats supposed to be revealled at SDCC? There's no sign of Cyborg either.
-
I don't think a new mold would be necessary. If Galadriel is going to reuse Elrond's hairpiece the same would likely be done for Thranduil.
-
Would be great if we got armoured Thranduil in a set.
-
It looks like the main wookie Wullffwarro might have a printed armband.
-
Awesome ship. Looks a lot like a minature Republic Gunship in a way. The wookies look amazing too. I love that we're starting to get a good variety now. 2015 is off to a great start! Can't wait to see what else next year has in store.
-
I'd be fine if the exclusive was Rachel Dawes or a Batman/Bruce Wayne variant. Anyone else from the movies would be very disapointing.

You might be in luck there. Wookies are set to make an appearance in Rebels and even have a new cruiser you can see at 8:00 in this video:

What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
wesker replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now that we have TDK Joker, this is next on my list of most wanted Batman movie villains: -
I'm kind of over the Tumbler but have to admit this looks like a fantastic set. And that Joker minifigure is too awesome for words.
