I have to admit I am a little disapointed by the lack of sets from the films. At least fans of the Umbarra arc are getting plenty of love this year. Clone Troopers vs Droidekas - Feeling a lot better hearing these are regular droidekas and not the snipers as previously reported. AT-RT - 501st Trooper? Commando Droid? Sniper Droideka? This is definitely CW. Looks like that updated movie Yoda is going to have to wait. BARC Speeder - Looking forward to Phase II Captain Rex and Obi-Wan, although I'm expecting the latter to just be the ROTS figure with the CW face. The BARC with sidecar sounds interesting. Umbarran MHC - Should be an awesome set if that render is anything to go by. Good to see we're also getting a new Ahsoka. I'm no fan of the character but she is one step closer to completing the vast line up of characters from the show. The Umbaran soldiers should be pretty sweet too. Snowspeeder & Hoth - Another rebel? Like I've said in the past, leave the generic troops for the battle packs. The planet sets should have been a good way for Lego to cover characters they normally wouldn't make, or at the very least update some old figures who still had yellow skin or the pupil-less eyes. I hope he at least comes with a different helmet print from the Yavin 4 rebel pilot. B-Wing & Endor - Meh. At least in this case we needed an update for the B-Wing pilot anyway. Tantive IV & Alderaan - The biggest missed opportunity for a Bail Organa figure. Hopefully the rebel is just a placeholder for an updated Captain Antilles.

I agree we need a royal starship already. Out of the four the Queen's Royal Starship would be my first choice since its the most iconic and the closest thing the heroes came to having their own Millennium Falcon in the prequels. It also has the biggest range in potential minifigures - our usual heroes in Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Jar Jar, Panaka and R2 - as well as exclusives in Handmaiden Padme, Decoy Amidala, Ric Olie, Naboo guards and the other astromechs. The H-type Yacht would be my second choice since it has a unique design and was prominant in both AOTC and TCW. I prefer the minifigure selection was based on AOTC as a regular Padme, grey C-3PO, Padawan Anakin and some Geonosians sound a lot more appealling than just a CW Padme, Jar Jar and another gold C-3PO. The J-type Star Skiff and Diplamtic Barge are my last choices due to the lack of screentime compared to the other starships. The designs are fairly similar to each other too, so I'd be less inclined to buy both ships. The Star Skiff does have the advantage of being a more affordable scale.

No way Jango Fett would be an exclusive. He's too big a character. C-3PO could be an option though I'd say TPM version has a much bigger chance. Queen Amidala would probably be the best choice for any exclusive though. As a main character she would be a bigger draw over someone like Bail Organa, plus outside the Royal Starship she's unlikely to be included in any more sets. A minifigure of her Parade Gown from the end of TPM would follow the "Ceremony" theme of the previous exclusive figures, although the Senate Gown would also be a good choice as its the most iconic queen outfit after the Throne Room costume. The only other option I can think of is Anakin in his peasant disguise on the Naboo freighter in AOTC.

The Mando Fighter was based on a Season 2 episode though, which was why Obi-Wan (and Pre Vizsla) had his older costume.

I'd like to see the planet sets come with less troops and more unique characters. Especially ones that may not normally be made like Captain Typho, Captain Tarpals or Bail Organa. Even some generic aliens that don't require new molds would be good. We got the battlepacks for Clones and Imperials. Why waste a slot on them in the planet sets?
-
I hate the in-between look too. Thats probably one of my biggest pet peeves about the PT and CW is the need to redesign everything all the time. Remember when we had the same X-Wing fighters and Stormtrooper armour for the entirety of the OT? And at least when we got a new TIE variant it was an expansion to the Imperial Fleet rather than a replacement.

^ Could be another Clone Wars game covering seasons 3-5. Not this year but in 2014. It was mentioned at Lego's panel along with a 4th video game in the works.
-
I hope the new visual dictionary won't be the same book as the last one only with a different minifigure and a few extra pages covering the latest releases.

I'd love to see more Tatooine themed sets too. Its arguably the most iconic planet in the Star Wars universe. One idea I have is to release both the Mos Eisley Cantina and a Tusken Raider Encounter as companion sets like Jabba's Palace and the Desert Skiff were this year. Mos Eisley Cantina An actual building this time like the new Jabba's Palace that opens up. Comes with Han, Chewbacca, Dr Evazan, Ponda Baba, Greedo, Wuhur, a Bith band member and at least 1 other alien (Duro? Hammerhead?) Tusken Raider Encounter Comes with Luke's landspeeder and a bantha. Figures include Luke, Obi-Wan, R2-D2, C-3PO and 2 Tusken Raiders. Its a good way to include all the main heroes while at the same time other characters that would not normally be made. More podracers would be good too. Gasgano, Aldar Beedo and Mawhonic's racers all need updates to go with Anakin and Sebulba's 2011 release. Mawhonic's racer also means we will finally get a Gran minifigure. Not to mention all the other possible characters that can be included - Shmi Skywalker, TPM C-3PO, Fode & Beed, new Pit Droids, the blue Twi'lek twins, Kitster, non Clone Wars versions of Aurra Sing and Quinlan Vos... On the ROTJ front we should be due for a new Sailbarge sometime in the next couple years. Hopefully Ree Yees will find his way there after being excluded from Jabba's Palace but I'd also like to see the Max Rebo Band included as well as a Weequay and Nikto Skiff Guard. And off course a new Slave Leia. I'd like to see her get a new molded hairpiece with a printed gold clasp and braid hanging off the shoulder like the Galactic Heroes figure below. The mold could also be reused for a Mustafar Padme. A few other ideas I'd like to see - Tusken Raider camp from AOTC, Obi-Wan's hut, the Lars Homestead and a Mos Espa set similar to Diagon Alley with Watto's shop and a few markets.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Hopefully X-Men. With a Jean Grey minifigure. -
I second this. More Twi'leks would be nice too. I always wanted Ann and Tann Gella (the blue twins working for Sebulba in TPM) and Lyn Me (white dancer from ROTJ Special Edition)

Does the new Droideka use any special molded parts or is it entirely brick built again?
-
Nice choices. Although I'd replace Hoth Han with the Bespin version that came with the last AT-AT. Also instead of another Hoth Leia I'd like to see a Bespin Gown Leia in one set and the Bespin jumpsuit in another.

Kamino: Missed opportunity not including a Kaminoan. Coruscant: More Clone Pilots are always nice. Asteroid: Wait and see how the planet itself looks, but another TIE Pilot seems a waste since we already got one in the first wave. Would've preferred a mini Falcon with one of the main characters, or a Star Destroyer with a Stormtrooper, Captain Needa or Admiral Piett. Old Republic Battlepack: Not interested in the source material. Wait and see what the figures and parts are like. Clone Troopers vs Droidekas: Hopefully the destroyer droids will have a new design and is better scaled than the last attempts. A-Wing: Missed opportunity for an all new Home One Leia in her general uniform. Maybe next time in a B-Wing set? Hopefully Han will at least have his Endor trenchcoat. AT-RT: Looking forward to an all new Yoda. I've said this a dozen times now but I really hope the head is made of soft plastic (like the original Yoda) and not rubber like the CW version. But do we really need another Assassin Droid? Z-95 Headhunter: This was in the Zygarian episodes of the Clone Wars right? Seems like a waste to have more clones and no characters. Overall I think its a pretty average line up. The lack of AOTC sets is the biggest disapointment as is the minifigure selection. A lot of missed opportunities for new characters. That said I'm sure there's at least 2 exclusive sets we don't know about for the first wave if this year is anything to go by (Y-Wing/Jedi Interceptor)
-
I'm looking forward to updated versions of Yoda and Dooku too. As I mentioned in the other topic I really hope a new Yoda has a plastic head like the original figure instead of a rubber head like the CW figure. Hopefully we'll also get a new Slave Leia in the next year or so. A new headpiece would be nice with a printed gold clasp and the braid hanging over the shoulder. Sort of like this:
-
I'd love to see Galadriel and Eowyn made but the others I could take or leave. I'll be pretty disapointed if Tauriel ends up being the character that gets released first.
-
I'm pretty excited at the thought of a new Dagobah Luke. Minifigures have come a long way since the last one was released. I just hope a new Yoda goes back to having a soft plastic head like the original figure and not rubber like the Clone Wars version.
-
It makes more sense to use Boba Fett's face than the Stormtrooper one.
-
Didn't we already get the Fan Choice Slave I in 2010?
-
I'd love a Geonosian Arena playset designed similar to this:
-
I'd love to see that ship released, although I'd prefer an AOTC version so we don't get the ugly CW faces on the figures.
-
Thanks for the review. I have to admit I am disapointed with how the new Obi-Wan turned out. The face that came with last year's podracer was perfect but the new one looks kind of squished. He also should have had a better hairpiece than the classic male hair.

Does anyone have a printout of the TRU 25% off coupon? -
I prefer Apocalypse was a larger mold. For one the character is known to change his size at will and is supposed to be intimidating against the "annoying insects". A larger figure also means we have the option to switch his hands out with various weaponry, as well as include extra details like the hoses connecting to his arms.
