Most definitely with you on the Wookiees. I was hoping LEGO would remake the Catamaran and Wookiee flyer. I love the fact that we are getting 41st. troopers and commander Gree, but what made Kashyyyk so great was the army of Wookiees. Who knows, TLG might surprise us and give us remakes in the summer.
-
The thunder raider and mech function to combine is definitely my favorite play feature of all the other sets.
-
I just want a remake of cloud city and some more Kashyyyk based sets.

I can understand buying that special set(s) with a price mark up, I do it all the time with ToysRus, but an entire wave, it gets very expensive. The amount of extra money ends up being the equivalent to another set, sometimes even two sets. Unless your filthy rich, then by all means
-
I disagree, price mark ups are very important, especially when you pay for every set you buy. 5 to 10 U.S dollars may have been the opportunity of a lifetime a month ago. Now being a week away, give or take, for LEGO to start selling the Ninjago sets for retail price, 25 to 30 bucks for a set that will retail for 20 in a week is not worth it. The smartest thing is to just wait it out. Apart from that, we got an entire year to buy the sets, what's the rush.

Fifty bucks for a set that will 20 in a week, give or take, is not worth it. Its nice to know that the sets are starting to show up in stores.

Most definitely, I'm glad to see TLG is listening to there consumers and works on giving us new and fresh ideas for the show, instead of just making a 25 min. toy commercial.- 4,591 replies

Its sucks that the next season will not be released till 2014, but that was expected with Chima having there season finale in Dec. in the U.S.- 4,591 replies

I agree with TLG creating a nindroid mech, but at the same time, the nindroids already have a mech-dragon, which in the Ninjago universe, a dragon is practically god-mode in any battle, excluding the powers of the golden ninja. Speaking of the golden ninja, I wonder if TLG will ever make a revamp version of the fig. Aside from that, no luck at Toysrus in Calirfonia.

Nice find, I got mine for MSRP too, but from toysrus.

I saw that set for sale awhile back for 75 U.S dollars, its a great sale. Heck its a great set, its got a better build for its size, the functions are great, details amazing and sensei Garmadon and evil Wu, oh the irony. Its the best of times building this set.

This theme gets me more excited everyday. I wonder if the system Cyrus Borg created is either possessed by the overlord, or it became self-aware and like all machines(terminator comes to mind) organic beings are inferior.- 4,591 replies

More of a sneak peak than a trailer, it was still great, the more vids the better. Now, the screen with red eyes, whats up with that?

In your first comment on the short nindroid, if you mean that the short nindroid is unique despite it being a mix of other figs, I share your thoughts. Personally, I see figs separately and as individuals. To me, the short nindroid is exclusive even if its a mix of other nindroid pieces. The way I see it is if I was to have the short nindroid only, that does not mean I have the one in the Thunder Raider set.
-
Very true, unless it has a new head printing, but I highly doubt it. Speaking of this set, does anyone know the release date for this set, or whether its a store exclusive etc.
-
Actually, so far the Destructoid has two exclusive figs, normal Zane and a short Nindroid. The short nindroid isn't that special, but its nice to have a variety. I would prefer if they made a nindroid heavy or nindroid mech, but you get the point, army building and what not.
-
There a small hole above the grey bar piece, but it is not visible because the lever piece is fully inserted.
-
I don't imagine this is a finale wave. Since LEGO brought back Ninjago, I would think they would try to milk it for at least 2 years, 4 to 3 waves. From the size of the set and the 200 piece count, I'd say 20 U.S buck.

Wow, I'm amazed. This is exactly what I wanted, a nindroid tank :D Its great to see that we get a zane variation and what appears to be a short nindroid, intriguing. How special is General Cryptor that he gets thrown into three sets now. Well aside from the figs, the set itself is nice, a bit thrown together in design but nice functions. Either way I love the concept of a mech/tank vehicle. This set has definitely put all on my focus on collecting Ninjago now. Thanks for the uploads :)

Getting a Hero Factory tower would be great to have, especially for this line, but I would expect it would be made out of bricks, which is something TLG would make if they decided to create a brick sub-theme like Bionicle had with the Metru Nui to the Marhi series. Still, there are elements in the figures that give the impression of just how huge these beasts are.

I got my fingers crossed for December :D Though with Chima having there season finale in Dec., I imagine they would schedule Ninjago for Jan. and focus on Chima to boost sales for Christmas. Hopefully I'm wrong and we will get at least our first episodes by late December.- 4,591 replies

Perhaps the term exclusive wasn't as precise, what I meant is diversity, of which the 2014 ninjas do have over the 2013 line. The stone warrior era ninjas only difference were head printing and color variation. As were the 2014 ninjas all have personal and exclusive designs(color variation, torso printing, hair pieces, etc.).

Great trailer, love the new look and darker tone they created for the new season. So any official news on the season premiere date?- 4,591 replies

Alrighty lets get this conversation back to the sets shall we :) It appears this wave has the most exclusive figs, since the ninja and supporting characters have all new and personal torso designs, not to mention the variety of hair pieces.
