  1. I have this set, I combined it with two Sabre Islands for my Soldier's port of operation. I put some additional white bricks between the sets to tie it all together..
  2. Also, can the new hulls be stacked on top of each other seamlessly? I don't really want to wait another week to find out :-D I can't decide if I want to buy two ships right off the bat.
  3. After spending $40 at a different TRU, I now have Kraken Attackin', 4X Cannon Battle, and 1 more Soldier Arsenal. The Lego Store is supposed to have the ship and Fort in stock on December 2nd.
  4. Heh, I voted with the majority on everything except best overall... I voted for Cannon Battle on that one
  5. Well, some $80 later I am now the owner of 1 of each of the following: Pirate Building Set Loot Island Shipwreck Hideout Soldier's Arsenal Pirate Survival With the last 2, I bought the last ones on the shelf. Tomorrow I'm stopping by another TRU location to hopefully pick up a few copies of Cannon Battle and a copy of Kraken Attackin' 5 down, 4 to go :-p
  6. or 7 wide, with a 6 wide windshield. When you look at it from the front it could go like this... OOM#MOO. O is a headlight M is a snot 1X2 tile and # is a 1X2 lattice plate. You would locate the windshield using the 1X2 plate with 1 knob. You could even make it seat 4 minifigs, give them all guns and make it a gangbanger car :-D
  7. I would like to buy 2 of each... but that might take a couple months. I already did that with the IJ sets, except for 7628.. it just took awhile :-p
  8. I saw Relient K sometime in 2002/2003 when they passed through Dallas... seeing/hearing that song live was quite possibly the funniest show moment I've ever experienced
  9. That hull is short... Can those end pieces be stacked on top of one another and still look seamless?
  10. Okay, if it's been answered before, I think it worth repeating in this review.. If this set is a Limited Edition, where is it available? I had picked up the LE Peril in Peru from target.com, so where can I buy this one? I'm gonna be so effing broke for the first few months of 2009.
  11. You're a pirate who doesn't do anything. Apparently, you've also never been to Boston in the fall.
  12. You think the new Castle and Agent sets are cool? Have fun playing with those and leave the new Pirates sets alone :-p The Star Wars sets are pretty sweet... I really want that Millennium Falcon.. Oh, I also wonder what it would look like with two baseplates stuck back to back
  13. A pirate's life for me.
  14. I've stopped by and looked for these too. Unsuccessful so far. When I was down in Anaheim on Monday, I stopped by the the Lego store. They said they should have them in by the first week of December
  15. That is a great idea for sorting minifigs. I'm definitely taking this from you. I have more orange and yellow bricks than I know what to do with, so I can definitely build up a rack for some of my baseplates. Kudos on that

A 1940 Ford Coupe, original suspension, no stereo, a/c or creature comforts, I'll take mine with an Olds Rocket 303 sitting in the engine bay. I don't need any of that computer controlled, leather, shiny rims megablocks.
  17. I registered a website with Godaddy.com a few years ago.. I think it was only about $20. Afterthe first year, I transfered to Yahoo Small Business hosting. I've been paying $12 a month since then. It's more of a personal use site, where I host images for myself, or store files I want o be able to access anywhere. I don't really come anywhere close to the max alloted bandwidth, and I link to it pretty frequently in car forums. Hope that info helps a little.
  18. I love the balconies, especially the one in the back, a lot.. I'd also almost suggest filling the garage with some work benches and tools, but I doubt anyone with a house that cost that much would work on their own cars (unless it was Jay Leno :-D) Again, major props on the rear balcony, and that little deck you have over the driveway is sweet too.
  19. I'm well on my way to top that. 2 years, less than 20 posts :-D I've only recently started posting and all that activity has been because of the reintroduction of Pirates!!!
  20. My name actually has nothing to do with Lego pirates, and everything to do with rock and roll. Thee Pirates was a punk rock band from Canada around 10 years ago. I was a pretty big fan of them, saw them every single time they came to California... and my user names have always been "thee pirate" or "hot rod camaro" (because of my first car) Thee Pirate just seemed more appropriate for this forum, so Thee Pirate it was. I'm even a huge fan of un-Lego pirate merch. Movies (Captain Blood, POTC, Treasure Island, etc.) , books (Richard Zacks' The Pirate Hunter), games (I totally have the POTC edition of Life, where you sail around in a little boat instead of drive a car, and I have been known to play Sid Meier's Pirates for hours on end)
  21. As far as actual set cost is concerned... How much would it cost to put together the basic fort in LDD? That'll tell ya how much Lego is charging for the figs/accessories.
  22. Every single time I stop in here and read some more, the news gets better and better!!! I'm so glad I paid off my car, hello $300 extra a month :-p Wait... goodbye $300 a month, you're getting spent on pirates!!!
  23. I voted no and 100's.. I really, really wish I had not opened a few of my sets.. I really wish I hadn't opened up the Durmstrag Ship, I found myself owning 3 different Raft Raiders(6261) when I was a kid (one from my parents, and one from each pair of grandparents), two Sabre Islands (6265), and two Bounty Boats (6247)... all because I told my grandparents I wanted pirate boats and forts :-p In retrospect, I really wish I had only opened up one of each of them, so that almost 15 years down the road, I could've sold the unopened ones to buy more Lego with. I've kinda made up for it since then with Hot Wheels, I probably have well over 750 Hot Wheels muscle cars and hot rods that I've bought over the past 15 years that are all unopened... but that's beside the point, this is a Lego forum right? I bought at least 2 of every single Indiana Jones sets, and I'm leaving one copyof each set unopened for at least 10 years.. I would like to get my hands on a third copy of Peril in Peru so I have 2 unopened sets of that one. I really don't like that aircraft :-p
  24. I have one with black buttons too.. 1 of 6.
  25. I wish I lived closer to Orlando that Pensacola :-p Do they have them at the Lego store at Disneyland in California? I'm going home on leave in around 5 days and that's only 30 minutes away from the 'rents.
