LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I wouldn't think so. Just look at '79005 the wizard battle' and '10237 the tower of orthanc' which both came out in the same year from the unfortunately discontinued Lord Of The Rings theme. The wizard battle is a -quite poor- representation of a room from the famous tower to be used as a playset, it in no way connects to the UCS-style set that also contains a much more detailed version of the room. My point is that they can still make a cloud city set with a different carbon freezing chamber in it than the 'set' we've seen so far. Of course this doesn't mean that the carbon freezing chamber is a total miss, I used the chair from the wizard battle as a backboard to saruman's bed in an extension floor in orthanc!(but that's a whole other story!). -

It's a 2x2 black tile with printed Death Star plans, it really could be nothing else -

I think it's definitely a 2x2 black plate with printing. I wonder what the interior will look like. Actually, looking at it now, I never realised that the top was transparent! And it looks like it also uses a 4x4 circular plate with a hole in the middle. I downloaded the Pdf but they're all prelims. What's interesting is that in the prelim for the BF BP it just has 4 regular OT stormies, 2 of them with additional jet packs -

So it looks like the escape pod sides are hinged and open out, and the top comes off, this is good. I don't like the way it is just a cylinder and the top looks horrible. And what is that piece in the sand, the Death Star plans? I kind of like the interceptor more now, I've noticed that the astromech is higher up than before but it is too different from Anakin's. It also turns out that the tan bricks in the hoth set were real as well. Good thing I saved the pictures of the microfighters, but I can still access the images from the gmail app that shows me the original post, but I think they look rubbish. -

But why would they put a bantha in a £25 set which already has 4 minifigures? Also I don't see how it is relevant in that scene because it wasn't even there in the movie, and if it is in the set, I don't see how it would fit into the box art, it would just be at the side of something and would look pretty weird. The only way we would know was if there was a drawing of one, like in 2014’s mos eisley cantina’s dewback on the prelim box art. Another question, how much bigger is the droid escape pod from 2012’s one? And does it open at the top like in the movie? I hope like every other Star Wars vehicle that it's not too out of scale, like the previous one was. Are the sides of it a sticker or do they use greebling? That is exactly what I was thinking and I think it would be a great idea! -

I got a cheap app that let me make a collage of the photos, hope they're useful and not too unclear :) (I tried to upload HD ones but the file was too big) -

'7256 Jedi starfighter and vulture droid' was my first ever LEGO® STAR WARS™ Set, my second ever LEGO® Set (but not my oldest, that would be '7203 Jedi defence I', which I received later). I got that when I was only 5 but unfortunately didn't get obi wan's because I didn't realise it was a set (and also because it was in that ultimate space battle set, of which most of the vehicles I already had). I was the given the '7661 Jedi starfighter with hyperdrive booster ring' as a birthday present in 2007 and it is my longest surviving LEGO® set (that's still built). It wasn't until 2012 when I got '9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor', I was amazed by the improvement of design and stability, also the updated figures. '75038 Jedi Interceptor' is my favourite version (this may also be bias because it is a remake of the first ever LEGO® set I owned) it was a must buy when I saw the images. In terms of differences between the 2012 and the 2014 one, obviously the colour is different but the decals have also changed, the shape of the yellow/green and grey bricks are different to represent a different 'paint job', if that's what you'd even call it, but a colour change of one of them wouldn't make it look like the other. To be honest there is are no improvements in the 2012 one, only some changes worthy of noting, for example the canopy piece was a different mold and a different print. I tried to upload images showing the differences between them but unfortunately the individual photos were too big :/ -

on topic (or maybe even off topic seeing how this discussion is progressing ;)): I really surprised about what they did with the Jedi interceptor, it's so confusing why they purposely redesigned it (this time even more than between the 2012 and 2014 ones) the guns look bad and I am disappointed that they used a sticker to create the grey 'trapezium' shape rather than achieving it through a brick built solution - even if it is more accurate. I can also see that they changed the interior again, it's so weird. We've got redesigned interceptors in 2012, 2014 and 2016 so I predict they're going to release obi wan's blue one in 2018 with another drastic redesign. The spider droid is awful. The 6 stud shooter looks less aesthetically pleasing than an actual detailed non-firing cannon. I'm excited for the BF BPs. The carbon freezing chamber is sort of lame, from enlarging the picture Han Solo's face looks like a zombie, also the build itself is quite small and there's too much gray. I'm interested to see how they'll pull it off with the 'transformation' but there's nothing really about that yet. I noticed a small elevator at the side. That 'wish' list that was posted looks completely fake, the only thing that could be true is the detail about the force awakens sets and the minifigures. -

The minifigure poster just shows that there are two TYPES of droid, it gives no indication to how many there will be of each. -

Who said that there were only six minifigures? Just because there is so far only six listed that doesn't mean that there couldn't be duplicates, Also wouldn't it show the picture of the set on the back of the instructions like it does for most sets? And is it possible that there might be more minifigures underneath these? -

On my local toy store website here in the uk, it has all the winter 2014 wave sets, due to come out on the 18th of January. Yet when I ask about any 'the lego movie' merchandise, I am told that it will not come out untill february, apparently it's the opposite in America. -

They do not get news before others and are not always reliable. Check to see if there is a set list posted on a thread before posting it again, it's annoying seeing the same posts over and over again. -

So here it is! merry Christmas from Santalf the Grey and his magic elves! Here is the famous Santalf the grey riding his sleigh led by the legendary sleigh puller: Shadowfax the white nosed horse. The back of his cart is full of presents to deliver to all of the children in middle-earth. He has one of his magic elves with the presents who has a golden elven dagger that was made at the workshop. The cart is mainly festive colours: maroon, dark green, brown and gold. It has a golden string to attach onto the tree, and Santalf is holding his whip and his famous item, Glamdring. Sorry for bad cropping and render, I used paint to clear the backround so there is still a but left, I hope that you don't mind and that you are able to still view it I loosely based this model off the look of gandalf's cart, I went for a similar design so it looked like it had been painted, but it has completely different pieces and a different build.
