I don't see why they would make it built into the set. It's called "rathtar escape" so I'd assume there'd have to an element of action and chase in the diorama. The scene in the film had heroes running away from creatures in pursuit of them so I don't understand where the idea that they are stuck stationary on a wall is coming from. I know LEGO have disappointed in the past but this is like asking if an X-wing set can lock the S-foils in attack position, or if you can remove Darth Vader from the operating table in the Darth Vader transformation set. It's also always important to mention that sets like these are marketed towards children and children want to be able to play out scenes and have characters and creatures to do this with, so from a marketing and playability stand point why would LEGO ever do this? It's such a pointless idea. Something much more interesting and relevant to talk about would be whether or not they are brick built and how many of them there are. I am also interested in what exactly the layout of the build is, is it modular? A grid like the corridors of the Ervana? A one sided wall with no floor like takodana? Also why are people using the portal monster from the Doctor Strange set as a reference point for how a rathtar should look like? It resembles it a bit and was kind of weird how it wasn't in the movie at all, but it's not a rathtar. It's an immovable disc with a tentacle action feature, not a giant ball-creature that rolls around eating people, yet people are citing it as if it is supposed to be an actual rathtar and is the blueprint for any rathtar model. It's not a rathtar. Regarding the North American release of the winter wave in march, (correct me if I'm wrong here), but isn't this exactly the same thing that happened in early 2014 when the sets were delayed? Back then it was because of the release of the LEGO Movie that TLG decided to have TLM sets the main attraction of the winter wave so they pushed one of their most popular product releases back in the U.S. so that it wouldn't take any prominence away from it. So obviously this year the same thing is happening because of the LEGO Batman movie and respective sets. It's not a production error, they just want to people to buy LEGO Batman movie sets instead of STAR WARS to promote the film. Another question: is the rumour that there will be two rogue one summer sets substantial enough yet? It hasn't been mentioned for a while and isn't featured in recent lists. I remember users wishlisting for a cargo shuttle and AT-ACT but are there even spaces for these sets? -

It ended today, I just missed it :'( Some reason the prices for the sets on the "customers also bought" tab haven't changed, but when you click on them they do. -

Didn't anakin's Jedi interceptor from 2012 have green wings? -

That 'trap door' under the trash compactor to put the dianoga on looks like you are supposed to pull Luke under it. It's better than having the full dianoga in the room with them. -

Don't the UK prices include VAT but the American prices don't? Couldn't that be why it seems weird? -

Despite the minifigures it's probably worth getting the final duel AND 75159. As someone who owns 75093 and 10188 the final duel is vastly superior and can be used to update the throne room with more detail. -

I was wondering if these images really were legit though, I mean, if you look at the image from the back in the VIP calendar it looks like an awful photoshop job with a solid black box around the turrets at the top that covers the Star Wars logo. Definitely doesn't look final. -

I saw the photo of the back, this is just awful. It would've been neat if they'd have rearranged the rooms somehow or moved things round a bit but everything seems to be in the same place! Where did all the extra pieces go? Also, Ep IV Luke still uses tan hair rather than dark tan (accurate) hair like in TFA game -

I remember when the original rumour was for a 'bigger, better' Death Star in 2016, this is basically a carbon-copy, heck, the figures are in the same places too! Where exactly is the VIP catalogue though? -

The 'random cheese slope' is clearly supposed to be a stopper for the sliding door lever in the trash compactor. Is there only one photo so far? The only one I saw was in *removed* which was blurry and taken at a weird angle, what's this talk about chin straps? -

Is that head on the rebel trooper new? If so it's good that they aren't just sticking with the TFA plain face that has already been overused. -

Agreed. A sphere with hinges would be ridiculous since there is only one point in the sphere where these could be placed, the centre. There would be no hinge support at the bottom or the top and it would be an even worse disaster than the ghostbusters' firehouse. A sphere that opens up sounds silly though, when it's opened up all the way won't it just topple over? However if there is an outer shell on it I personally think it would look better with dark bley and light bley to get the detail on it rather than just a solid light bley. This would also mean that the interior walls wouldn't have to be light bley like 10188 where it was used to make it recognisable. -

As far as I know all the parts from polybag minifigures, whether it be a collectable minifigure series figure or a promotional figure, use the Chinese plastic. The distinctive features of this are the fact there is no black or white mark on the neck, and the top of the legs have a square indent rather than just a small dot. While these aren't too noticeable when a figure is fully assembled there are other factors which keep them apart from 'normal' minifigures. Primarily I have noticed that the joints are much looser, be it the arms, hands, legs or neck. The clutch power between the legs and torso is weaker, too. Another observation I have made, albeit less noticeable to most, is there is a slip in quality of plastic. The plastic used doesn't have the same shiny gloss of standard Lego bricks and feels much softer, and duller. The printing can also be a bit weaker, for example on my clone lieutenant promo minifigure the printing on the helmet was much lower than standard clone trooper helmet printing and the face was very smudged. And finally, as mentioned by Cyberfounder, the discolouration. While there already is a level of slight discolouration in standard minifigures (for example yesterday I noticed that the 'skin' tone of the hands on my Scarlett witch and Rey figures was marginally different), the Chinese plastic minifigures are plagued with this problem, a prime example being the C-3PO polybag from earlier this year: the 'pearl gold' colour on the torso and legs not only wasn't the same as standard C-3PO minifigures but was different than the 'pearl gold' on the head and hand of the same minifigure! And it's not just on mine either, as I have seen from other's minifigures. Anyway, this has sometimes put me off buying polybag minifigures but I'll still give the May the 4th promo a go, I'm actually hoping for a variant of a character that is unlikely we'll ever get in a set: battle damaged Kylo ren! He would have the scar on his face and maybe scars on his torso. I really can't see him being included in any set but it'll be a good minifigure to have, the only downside is it might be a little 'violent' or 'dark' if it is about a character with injuries, although look at Luke's figure in assault on hoth! -

From the catalogue pictures it is clear that set 75156 is in a larger, more square box that looks like the size of box you'd get for a UCS set, most likely the Death Star, it ties in with the movie, and is on the poster above it. -

Of you look at the screen shots you will notice that the x wing design is vastly different from the ones that are released, especially the cannons! Also, I wonder why there are endor chewie, Han and Leia in it? Unless it's from after RoTJ to bridge the gap between movies? It would be cool if this content was based on the books that do this also. -

But the UCS one was designed to be in system scale. The image is probably just a place holder, I mean, what should be in it? It would only give away set details and pictures. Hugely disappointed that again, (again!) the scissor split s-foils have a huge gap in between them AND overlap! But then again the set was probably finalised before all the complaints came out in September and it was probably too late to change. -

While these figures do sound good and the inclusion of a rebel blockade runner is new I am disappointed since I expected them to do an all-TFA advent calendar, since I'm sure there would be enough material to work from. The advent calendars were sort of going stale anyway, rehashing the microscale vehicles. Do you know what the 'santa' minifigure will be? -

I hope this resistance x-wing set has learned from all the mistakes of poe's with the wing design, hopefully it'll also have that turret on the bottom from the start of the movie. -

Here's a link to a website with a picture of the finalizer polybag set - http://www.thebrickfan.com/two-new-lego-star-wars-the-force-awakens-polybag-images-found/ That Death Star II in the background is even lazier than the star destroyers on the box art of obi-wan's Jedi interceptor, what were they thinking? Kylo ren's shuttle polybag is a massive disappointment, still grey? Still the huge lower wing and no folding out wings (from what can be seen)? I've noticed that pretty much all of the force awakens sets have huge accuracy problems, whether it be scale, proportions, colour or functionality, even the resistance transport is the wrong colour, and that came out this year! I do hope that with the Ep VIII sets they can revisit some of the vehicles and improve them. -

I think it's good that we're getting a standard resistance x-wing. I hope that we may also get a standard first order tie fighter (hopefully with the black structural bracing on the inside of the wings AS WELL as on the outside), and maybe even a special forces tie fighter pilot (which was NOT the pilot type included in the special forces tie fighter set, for some reason). And maybe they might get the colour of the laser right, too.
