  1. Also from the looks of the assembly in the video the back of the cockpit is closed, so no interior corridor I guess
  2. Announcement video just put out on Facebook. Looks like it's already been out since January
  3. To be fair the stripe and olive green are a little less jarring on the image of the box, the one I was looking at with all the figs and the display plaque was clearly oversaturated/contrast boosted
  4. Even at that it's not even noticeable and the Lego version looks far too dark.
  5. Agreed. This and some of those olive green pieces will be something to change.
  6. One thing I think they could do would be to actually differentiate the characters between films. I mean, Harry didn't look the same through all 8 films... different hair and face pieces would be great. As well as this some more attention to detail with the school uniforms would be nice. It was odd that in 2010-11 all the uniforms were jumpers only with no capes or robes. It'd be nice to get some variants like in Prisoner of Azkaban when they wear a shirt and cloak with no jumper.
  7. Yes, this is the legit "leak" from last week. It's a little annoying how the direction of the grills on the outside exhaust vents closest to the centre of the ship aren't in line with the outside vents closest the back of the ship but more at a 45 degree angle. The previous UCS falcon.. actually didn't have any grill at all, huh. its a little sad cos the "system-scale" falcons got this right by using stickers and a dish piece ?
  8. The one thing I think they need to do to Han Solo is add a printed red corellian stripe down the side of his leg!
  9. They could go with a mix of tan/dark tan.
  10. Hopefully if there is a D2C hogwarts they don't stick to the awful tan/sand green colour scheme established in 2001
  11. What if by "Harry Potter" it may mean Harry Potter and the cursed child rather than the movies?
  12. Technically it wasn't "unused" because, surprise, surprise... that's actually the first order snowspeeder backwards! The original concept art had the speeder fly in the direction shown above but Abrams thought it would look better and more Star Wars-y if it was the other way round so that the windshields would become backrests. So technically there is a full Lego set of the concept art, however regarding its minimal presence in the film ?...
  13. Yeah the lighting and rendering does stand out a lot, it just looks kind of flat and the light on it is way too warm.
  14. I'm saying fake. The render looks bad and unfinished and the cockpit just looks wrong, it's the same as the two previous system scale ones which isn't accurate to the shape. The figs in the cockpit look weird and out of place, at some weird angle or something spring loaded shooters replacing two of the guns at the top? You have got to be kidding me... The biggest give away is the figures at the top, the Rey fig in the gold box is supposed to be the 1:1 scale representation, and given how big the box would be for this, she's huge. Don't fall for this obvious photoshop. Edit: I'm not saying it's fake. It IS fake. Look at how out of line the cockpit is with the connection to the main ship, it doesn't line up, it's clearly taken from a photo when the rest is a CGI render
  15. Or you could just get the Dr. Strange set to get an extra rathtar as well! :P
  16. The sticker is always the same colour as the stand, e.g. Black. I think the black is just so it is simple and doesn't take away from the model itself, it's just always been that way so I don't see the point of changing it up.
  17. So... they would be more prone to breaking (Because transparent plastic is more brittle) and it would be difficult to read the text on them?
  18. Wouldn't it be brown jacket Han since that's the colour LEGO decided on in 2013?
  19. Great that it looks like both storm troopers in the FO battle pack are regular!
  20. UCS bb8 seems really unlikely, it won't have any poseability that wouldn't conflict with the design or move ability of the set which would be almost impossible to do. The original post that sparked this said: First of all, a UCS BB8 would not be 'outside the box' since there was a UCS R2-D2 in 2012. It's not going to be something new or original. 'Outside the sphere' cannot be a reference to BB8, how is BB8 outside of a sphere? He is a sphere! Since it is the 40th anniversary of STAR WARS (the title A New Hope is only 36 years old) this year they will most likely capitalise on this for the UCS sets. A Death Star trench fits both 'outside the box' and 'outside the sphere' since it will be something different and not seen before, and also outside the Death Star.
  21. The lando figure looks cool. There's a storm trooper beside it and what could be a bespin guard above it which does hint at a cloud city themed set.
  22. Does anyone think that the technic pins at the end of the rathtar set mean it might connect to something else? On first looks I thought that the corridor Han and chewie were on was on the ground but I just realised that it's raised up and there's a corridor u derneath for Finn and Rey to be on.
  23. Nope. The trooper on the AC has white hands, the helmet, and the two points at the bottom of the mask. It's also on star killer base so.... Also the advent calendar is a preliminary image and not the final product. I don't think santa BB-8 will be just standard BB-8 with a Santa hat, there has to be some sort of printing change (red and green decals?). Remember that in the prelims of the 2015 calendar the Hoth trooper had a tan coloured outfit and it was a CW R2-D2.
