  1. Well.. I know I could be doing another thread to show this, but guess there'd be no harm if I do it here: The reason I stopped from making updates on this project is..I started building my fleet :D, finally some lot I bought from ebay arrived to my home, and I couldn't resist to open, clean everything, and start the buidling! All bricks were in an excellent shape, and with some working, I managed to finish 3 ships, even when not every piece were there, I did my best with limited resourses (I had really few bricks of my own.. everything were in a horrible condition, so my mom one good day threw away most of my bricks, thinking I'd not be needing 'em anymore D: ..) Anyway, here my starting and growing fleet: Feeling soo satisfied with those 3 days of work :) Anyway.. I'm editing my 1st post, and posting my finishing pics of this, the design of Queen Anne's Revenge, be sure to check it there. Finally, anybody knows if there's any way to make some kind of report from LDD that shows number of bricks used, how much of each one.. how much of each color.. etc, otherwise I'd need to account every piece I used to make the orders from bricklink and start the second part of this project, the QAR on real life :D
  2. There's also other ships that could be released: The dauntless, The Interceptor, The Empress, The Hai Peng...just to call a few..
  3. Thanks! :D, I'd have liked to make a nice scenario around her, similar to some posters, with the QAR in flames, or something cool, but I lack of the neccesary skills in photoshop to make it possible :P
  4. I've been working on the sets I received this monday, bought 'em on ebay at a really nice price, and well, it was one of the best purchases I have done, every piece was kind of dusty, but in a really near mint condition, and it included all the sails, like new :O really satisfied, also the two sets I have built yesterday and monday were fairly complete :D ...I'll be posting some photos of my new Black Seas Barracuda, and my Redbeard Runner, the last one I made some mods on the stern, I so hate the poor design and the waste of space in awful features, but with limited source of pieces, It was challenging, still lots of fun! Well, mainly for those reasons I haven't updated this thread yet, gotta finish my indoors and she'd be done, I'll be rearranging this entire thread and making an index at the 1st post, for a better search on the steps this took me to finish my soon to become pirate flagship, Queen Anne's Revenge. Ohh, btw, @Blackbeard: Airbrushing would be the last option I'll be taking,...first I'm gonna try and addapt the colors to the pieces ordered,..if there's no other option, guess I'll need to mix and make some tests to get the same tone of red, or gold..
  5. Gotta admit I haven't noticed it, 'til you mentioned about it hehe
  6. QAR is by far a better ship IMHO.. beatiful sails, not cartonish and childish ones.. lots of details, a lot bigger, and mean looking, better crew, better colour scheme, overall, if I could give a grade based on 1 to 10 for each one, I'd grade the BB bounty with a 5, and the QAR with a 8.5 - 9.. even the name of it's captain, brickbeard, is something that I don't like either :P
  7. My all times favorites: pi022, pi053 and pi068
  8. Until yesterday I had only a QAR and my beloved Renegade Runner, now with a new shipment coming guess I can be completing one BSB and one Redbeard Runner :D
  9. Crossbone Clipper came up after Armada Flagship if I recall corectly, that's the last small ship they released if I'm not wrong, a pretty lame one if I may say... I'd so love a new age of pirates, they never gave much emphasis on the spanish domain, I just saw one galleon, and that's..so much story to cover with just a few sets, there's still lots taht could be done, I never understood the position of Lego company when they decided to stop the pirates line, one that acompannied my whole childhood..sad..
  10. Overall it looks really nice :) this is my next project btw, making the historical QAR, as accurate as possible Couple things thought: There's several images and blueprints from the original design, but after reading a bunch, guess this one is the one...or was the one hehe, you can look it at this link, since I'm at the office ATM and cannot upload anything here.. The blue doesn't looks that bad..pheraps adding some lines in gold would improve the look :O Nice ship :D
  11. Guess I'll be needing to change a bit some parts, due to the non existance of certain bricks in an specific colour, but as you can see it right now is how I'm gonna try to leave it, no major changes on the color scheme unless strictly needed.
  12. Last update for today, furniture on cap's cabin, navigation room and storage rooms: Whole view of what i made today: And some detailed images of what there would be indoors: Got several ideas on internet, brickshelf mostly, other stuff are homemade, overall i tried to give my own touch to everything Tomorrow I'll be installing what fit the most :P PS: Blackbeard, is your desk cluttered enought for your taste? hehe, I took inspiration on these images: Also, I included your bookshelf too ^_^
  13. Yeah, I got that in mind.. I made it in a hurry, hehe.. it must be kind of smaller, to match the proportions a little better :P Also gotta improve its articulations too, looks too static as it is right now hehe,
  14. I'm afraid there's not enough space to place those, I could manage and do something thougth. Sails are gonna be there, custom because they ended up being larger than I expected hehe, but there will definetly be wearing some beatiful sails :)
  15. I so like the dragon figure in the bow, adds a really nice touch
  16. Thanks for all your comments and for following my progress, it means a lot to me Here's some little details left to be done: Added the golden cup, it really took some thinking on how to install it on the figure hand, in real life it would be just to grab it with the "fingers" but in LDD; it's a little more complex, everything must be attached to something.. Anyway, i managed to do it, here's the pic: Little more details on bow decks, some cutlass for the crew :P Added couple more lanterns on the sides of the ship, 4 in total for each side, adds a nice touch if seen from a far :P Some more lanterns on decks, these ones I liked how they looked, shame I couldn't install "light" on them: Here's my lantern palette btw: Some wider places in the masts: Also added a little dark red to represent the sails :P Some images showing the whole ship: Now i can start working on the interiors :D
  17. It looks so nice! I'd love to see more pictures
  18. Post some images of your mods on QAR! :)

  19. Designing the Queen Anne's Revenge on LDD; soon on real life :D

  20. Thanks I appreciate it! Last update for today: Night~
  21. There's several ways to get to lowerdecks, and to cap's cabin and even lower..but in LDD its kind of slow, hopefully I'll be designing a better way, just as everybody does, dividing the ship in sections, both to store it better in case i gotta move it or when I'm not displayig it, or to show off the interiors. Those cannons that take too much space were the ones I recently installed, I know they look like an obstacle rather than an utility, but they are necessary :/
  22. Yeah! I read that too, but here we are playing only with 26, for space reasons, there's just no way i can install as many as 40, maybe if I had designed a better gundeck Thanks for your comments :D hope I don't dissapoint you, if so, make as many suggestions as needed, so I can improve the design :)
  23. For some reason i love this ship having that many lanterns, and i try to put as many as i can, without looking too full of 'em. Rope I'll definetly be putting some here and there, but LDD it's not the place to play around with ropes, and my PC is lagging as hell right now hehe, on the real life model, there'd be many other things, this is more or less a guide for me to know what and how much to buy I included couple more cannons on decks, I didn't wanted to, because the narrow space left, but it looked kind of empty without 'em, so I modified a little to set some space for them: Also, I started the main mast already, after some measuring on proportions, got some height somehow accurate: Also, some neat details ontop of mast: I tried the custom steering wheel, but it's impossible on LDD (The hands of the minifigs are attached to the body as one whole piece), another thing to remember for the real model.
  24. I did a couple on the bow, inside the gundeck..that function as the flamethrowers,.. but other that those, haven't made em yet, for 1 reason mainly, QAR shown on the movie doesnt have 'em hehe Here's a picture on what i was basing my desing on decks: Question is: Should I?
  25. Yeap, hehe, finally after re reading your comment I got what you meant :P I'm gonna try building it, and then install on the poopdeck, but for now I'm still on details on deck. Btw, now that we are on it, any suggestions on what to put on decks? :P there's some few space left that has nothing on it, seems kind of empty...Imma post an image in a minute Here they are: Nothing out of common..kind of need some ideas hehe..
