  1. To insert submodels into the main model, you need to use the part bin to navigate to "Model (content) overview/ information groups" -> "All models currently loaded". There you will see a list of all the submodels created within your current multipart-model as well as all additional models loaded from outside your multipart-model. From there you can insert the submodels like any normal part. Nesting is a technique to edit submodels: You can activate nesting to edit submodels from the main model view. There is an option to set in which model or submodel new parts are placed, but I'm not quite sure how his works, I never use nested editing. As for your problem with 18651.dat, I have no idea what might be causing this. I have the same /unofficial folders and for all the unooficial parts are working perfectly. Do you have any other unofficial parts in use?
  2. It would have been nive to see the slightly larger 32003 tires from the Black Cat and Racing Truck make a return. You can always mod the Arocs, of course, but ten of those tires will set you back dearly...
  3. Looking at these pictures, the 3-bar front is seen on the two-axle version (18 tons) of the Arocs. The cabin itself actually seems to be the same, the extra bar on the grille is added on top of the bumper. This indicates that the extra height under the cabin is used to house the larger OM 470/471 engines (compared to the the OM 936 on the 18ton-truck). The Arocs 3245 uses the 12.8l, 330kW OM 471 engine, so the higher cabin with 4 bars on the front would be correct. What you have seen probably was an Actros, they do have 5 bars on the grille.
  4. So I've been playing around with something that hasn't been mentiones yet in this thread - glowing bricks used to light the scene. I took this WIP model of a fire engine and placed spotlights inside all the transparent bricks. The light emitted from the brick will filtered by the color of the brick, giving the light just the right color. I also found that placing bright lights with high "fade_power" and small "fade_distance" values inside the bricks will help to make the brick appear to glow without washing out the light of the surrounding area. Has anyone else tried something similar?
