  1. Very nice! I think Heath would be proud. I'm not even that interested in Batman, but I think the DK looks great!
  2. HOLY SH*T! IT'S EATING HIM ALIVE! God vig though One thing, since wooden chest of gold, skeletons, and reefs can't float (and people can't stand on water), I'd change the blue base to tan.
  3. Because quite a few brands offer batteries that can be frozen in your freezer and recharged.
  4. You know, I've been feeling that since I heard about this. Lego is too cheap and worried about price to build anything as nice as what we got in the old theme. Elderado Fortress? Cut out the back walls and 3 of the figs, then re-market it.
  5. Sorry guys, but Phes has been incontact with LEGO, and allegedly the pirate figures are not offical and a line is not in the works. Needless to say, I don't beleive them.
  6. Looks like a great set based on Brickset pictures!
  7. I also doubt. Factry would also probably result in one set. And, like those Space skulls, the torso's would probably be stickers.
  8. Well, I don't. But that's probably because you're presumably older than me. I doubt it. Why make 2 new torso's with double printing ust for one set?
  9. You have cards!?! Anyway, that soldier cannot be old. Come on!
  10. The thing is, the armis of most countris didn't have soldier's with empaulettes! Only officers have them.
  11. VIVA LE FRANCE! Great MOC, definately front page material.
  12. Oh dear. Then how could have said figures have such realistic torsos? When I saw them they shined as any other torso would. Did they give you any real explanations as to how they came to be there?
  13. Good start. I want to see her finished. ANy type of prediction as to when?
  14. Thanks for that! I have allways wondered what that song was. I know it was British, as I first heard it in the English ports in Sid Meier's Pirates, and I heard it in the "Crown and ROse" at the UK palivion at EPCOT. Then I went and meet Mary Poppins. It's ironic that I'm such a Anglo-phile, considering I'm more than half French.
  15. Agreed. WHen I read the book, I allways imagined the Nautilus as a floating cigar with a spiked triangle on front (the hole in the Scotia is described as triangular), and some rams. Then two little cages with glass in them up top for the helmsman and the floodlights.
  16. I allways thought it was pronounced Hink-Lee (as in Robert E. Lee)
  17. No, Factory figures do come with printed torsos to my knowledge.
  18. This is awful. Sure, you might get to win 1 clone. But there are only 6 per store, so odds are you can only win one. The old clone things were great, you got to build them and keep all the ones you built. There has to be some other catch to this.
  19. Pretty much. The in-city fighting only really happens in EU. Ever played Star Wars Battlefront? You fight in Bespin, Mos Eisley, etc. You fight in cities in (this is kind of an old game, but I still like it) Galactic Battlegrounds, Coruscant, Bespin again, Theed, etc. Plenty of the old Star Wars books involve urban fighting. But, considering we've got this kinda stuff for real in say, Iraq, I'm sure LEGO doesn't want to invoke that.
  20. Very nice landscaping. The tower could be a little bigger, maybe one wing of it precariously hanging over the lava, supported by stilts.
  21. Hinckley sounds so sane in this interveiw. This an't be the real Hinckley. I'm also not sure about the host's pronunciation of Hinckley.
  22. While looking for Bonaparte's British naval ensign, it seems that the links to all of Bonapartes flags are broken.
  23. Very nice! I really like the cook's range (the proper name on a ship escapes me). BTW, I did the search, but I also found that loverly brown French ship you made. I'd buy it, but some bricks aren't avalable.
  24. Part of me says yes, part says no. Yes: Well, not many new ones, but the Skellies to still have a large amount of sets out there. No: They may have quite a few sets, but so did the Imperial Soldiers when the Imperial Gaurds Replaced them (and after!)
  25. Yes, it does come from LEGO chess.
