I have a question: On S@H, why is it that not all sets of a line are not avalible at once, i.e. The Batcave set is still avaible in the Lego Stores and most other stores, but is not avalible on S@H. It bothers me as I'd like to buy the sets I want all at once. I'd also like to know why most set boxes have more then twice the space needed to hold the set they contain.

The Baritones Discussion Thread

Oh, I'd love to play! -
Wow. I hope the bayonet didn't hurt too much These are awful. But all McDonald's toys are. Except the ones for the awful Haunted Mansion movie a few years back. Those were decent.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Norrington replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think this should be in some other forum. However, I dislike this line. I hope this are preliminary. With LEGO's discontinuation of Purple, this may be a great chance to stock up on lime green and orange (or red ?) I see unique parts like technic chanlinks in red. Slyowl might have some fun I agree, I wanted this line to be more Jules Vernian in it's style. Ah well, maybe we'll get steampunk divers and miners at some point. Doing something like this is like the way they changed the Halo marines in the 2nd game. In the first: Sleek bronze armor and eye pieces with readouts on them. All in all, very futuristic. In the second: They were just like a modern soldiers with lots of pouches and bags. Not very futuristic. I don't like that they look like modern construction workers. -
Why is the Joker dancing? Well, as many have said, the penguin looks like a fig. Heck, I see studs on his submarine. That batmobile type thing could be brickbuild too.

New BrickArms Prototypes!

"Thunderbeater! Take that ya' stupid duck!" I love Red Vs. Blue I may have to order some of these. -
I agree with you. This dissapoints me as I like the large variety of colors. What about the Penguin in Batman?

Megabloks Pyrates and Pirates of the Caribbean Sets
Norrington replied to Akkhraziel's topic in LEGO Pirates
I recently discovered a pirate sloop that Playmobil made. At least it's ships are reasonably accurate (I plan to paint the sloop like the Lady Washington, at some point) 3174 It has alternatively released as: 3860 5819 3055 (my favourite) A line of sloops from LEGO would be nice. Heck, playmobil sold extra rigging and sails so that you could turn a pirate ship could be turned Imperial. -
Oh noes, they shot Yoda's hand! A good vig, but to nitpick, the Clone's blasters fire blue bolts.

COMPETITION! Design and build a household item from LEGO!
Norrington replied to Siegfried's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh, your bucket's back. At ease then. Anyway, that was an interesting competition. Unfortunately I missed it due to taking a break from EB. Ah well. -
Republic Gunship Comparison - 7163 vs. 7676.
Norrington replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Based on the book "Incredible Cross Sections" and the Hasbro Republic Gunship, the turrets in the winds are actually remote controlled. The Turrets in the troop zone are the only manned turrets. Anyway, the new one gets my vote. It's bigger, more detailed, and pretty easy to mod to turn the space in the nose into the Medical Bay it supposedly has (also from the cross-sections book). besides, just by the bubble turrets off the internet and make your own. -

Oh, very nice. I must admit the shingles on the roof don't make much difference, I was thinking you might do a roof something like Cafe Corner. I notice you have that battle of Lexington Green MOC cannon there. The rebels going to tae the lighthouse so the fleet goes on the rocks? Either way, great work!
-
Oh, it's the Star Justice Walk of Fame! The rocks are good, but the building is rather plain.
-
Mein Godt! This is simply stated, the best MOC I've ever seen, and like ever will see. The jumper plate technique for the walls is just brilliant, and I mist say the net holding the bridge together is a much more unique way to do it than the brown vines with the hand holds. I must admit I'm not sold on the yeti design (not that it's not good, it's just not how I imagine a Yeti.) I love the tea time up stairs You are the Brick Mastah!

WOW. This thread was bumped after four years. There is another thread about this, and, it is not a piano. It's a harpsichord.

It looks like it's steam punk, in which case it belongs in other themes. Or, it could be late 19th century (the car was around then, but it was very rare) Either way, I like it's styling.

Inacabana is a purposeful butchering from MAD magazine's Indian Jones 4 parody. And no, the blue tricorne is a clone. I have, however, seen offical tricornes in red, as test pieces.
-
Oh. My. God. This is amazing. For stars though, I wouldn't decal. Just put a 1x1 yellow plate in the hole, and it might look good.
-
It's from Inacabana Jones.

You didn't get it. REAL tricornes are felt, rubbed with mercury to stiffen them. Top hats were made the same way. You could just dye it blue in real life, as felt can be bought in different colors.
