  1. Hmmm, I went to KBtoys.com and they show only 7 sets for SW Lego. None of the sets listed are new. Any ideas? |-/
  2. LOL, I hate that message! >:( ;)
  3. What are these pics of? Is Lego going to sell two locos in one set and three cars in one set? :/
  4. I hope they do so they go to the mark-down bin and I can afford more. I just don't see this happening.
  5. Thanks for the link Jon. :) I did not expect it to be as long as it was, but from a promo aspect it works. I now find myself interested in the junior pirate stuff. ;) Lego really needs to bring back the system pirate sets. :'( :')
  6. The trucks are great but I must also point out the serious organization of the bins that are in the background. Very clean and well organized. You can tell this is a serious builder. *satis*
  7. It is also great that both sets are available. Now you are not limited with one set of people if you need a bunch to fill up a city. I have to say that my city features a ton of twins. ;)
  8. It would be great if Lego made sets like these MOC's, but lets face it, it will never happen, esp. the large buildings. Even if Lego were to make a huge building set it would cost about $500. :| ;)
  9. WOW :oD It is looking great Vader. I like the detail you have put into it. Great work! :D
  10. It would be great if Lego expanded the train line in 05 to include more than just a few train cars. They could well... Click here (second to last post) :D ;)
  11. My store is located in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. It is Disney's shopping and entertainment complex. The complex features Pleasure Island (Night clubs) The House Of Blues, Planet Hollywood, AMC Theaters, Virgin Megastore and The Rainforest Cafe. If you went to a Lego store in Florida, it is the one you went to because it is the only one :P ;) The store was still kinda cool, but it was getting old looking. The new store is going to be a huge change. Lego is also replacing all of the large characters outside. I have more pics that I'm going to post later today. :D
  12. Yeah. I also built all of the new sets that came out before Christmas such as the new Alpha Team, City & Racers. Right now we are setup in a tent and will not have a demo area until we re-open the store in March. It does give me time to redo some old buildings in our town display. :P ;)
  13. Hehehe, yeah, that is the hardest part of my job! ;)
  14. Well, there was a small speed bump when the FBTB crew was posting here because they thought we were against them. But even that was just a misunderstanding. I love the fact that everyone gets along so well here and it has been that way from day one. It is really great to see that even as the site grows, we never lose direction. :)
  15. When I was a child I had seen Lego ads on the back of mags such as Boys Life, but I have not seen them since. Although I do not read Boys Life anymore to know if Lego still advertises with them. Hmmm, I don't even know if Boys Life is still around. ;)
  16. Right now my store is being remodeled. Lego is spending a ton of money on it, and it will become the new US flagship store. The plans I have seen are amazing. I have posted before and during pics to my BS gallery for those interested in seeing a complete renovation of a Lego store. I will post more in the coming weeks. I will also post after pics when the store is done. Click here to view the gallery. ;)
  17. Yeah, I have only been here a few months but it has grown so much in that short time. It is great to see more and more people sign up and post here. I also like that we have been able to keep the great atmosphere flowing. *satis*
  18. Yeah, but don't rule it out. Lucas is known for changing his mind (How many versions of SW are now out there?). He had said once before that he would not do 7,8 & 9, then later said it may happen. Who knows. I don't think he can leave things alone. After Ep. 3 he will get bored and want to screw more things up by making these films. |-/ ;)
  19. Same here, I will keep one whole but buy more just for the troopers. The other bricks will be added to the rest of my spare parts collection for future MOCs. :D
  20. Great, thanks Vader! ;)
  21. Thanks for the link Wolf. The commercials are not as bad as I thought they would be. *satis*
  22. WOW :oD , besides the Bionicle theater promos, Lego is pretty much word-to-mouth here. I would like to see a Lego commercial to see how they promote the items. California may have a few TV ads since they have a Legoland Park, but I have never seen any ads here, not even when I was a child. My mother was always the promoter of Lego. Lego were expensive but she much rather have us get a Lego set because they promoted creativity. *satis*
  23. Ok, I will trade in my Spiderman 2 vote for Fahrenheit 9/11. And it just won the People's Choice Award, even though the people voted for President Megablock. I just don't understand the US people anymore. *wacko*
  24. I was just sitting here on my lunch break when this thought hit me... I have never seen a Lego TV Commercial I live in the US so I don't know if it is different overseas, but I can't remember ever seeing a commercial for Lego. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen any type of conventional advertising for Lego. No TV, Radio, Billboard, Magazine, Newspaper Ads, etc. In fact, the only conventional advertising for Lego that I know of was the Bionicle ads that were playing in theaters. Most of Lego's advertising dollars seems to be spent advertising to people that already know about the company and its products.
  25. Exactly! :D ;)
