Hey Chewie, Check out Bricksaic. It is an awesome program for making mosaics. You can use Bricklink.com to order all the parts you need. I hope this helps and is not too late. ~Orlego

I have done this before, however, most sets have a few parts that are expensive and you end up spending more. I also have found that the cheapest Bricklink shops have higher minimum order. This is ok if you want to build several sets, but if I need only $10 worth of parts and the minimum is $30, I'm forced to buy more. I could go to a more expensive shop where there is no min. order but then I would probably spend $2-$5 more for the same $10 bag of parts I could have received from the cheap shop. Now I would be just wasting my money and driving myself crazy over it. I will then go back to the cheap shop and order the $10 worth I need and spend $20 more on parts that I think I will need in the future (and I'm usually wrong).

Damn, I guess it helps if I read everything first. Sorry, trying to get back in the swing of things but there have been too many posts. Thanks for the heads-up Jay. :) -

Ex-Emperor? And where is my is my pink-slip/retirement plan? Don't make me put the lightning bolt smack-down on you Vader. I'm still the Emperor here. As Emperor, I just have to be sure to stay out of Lego's hair and keep out of the hospital and keep my troops posted on my condition more. :-D Yes, Emperor Orlego is back again. *twisted* ;)

Win an Exclusive LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 Model
Orlego replied to Mr. Lego-builder's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It would not be that expensive to build it (its not worth $1800). Here is a link to a model of R2D2 that looks much the same. :) -
Wow, you all are crazy.... hmmm, I mean, keep up the good work. ;)

I like that Lego has started to make realistic and licensed trains. The SFSC and the BNSF are amazing sets. I just have a problem spending $10-$20 more for rolling stock just because a TTX sticker is included. I can make stickers myself or pick up some O-gauge sticker sheets for a few bucks. This set is based off of James Mathis' Double Stack Container Car. Add some cheap TTX stickers and you will have a nice model that is similar to the set at a fraction of the cost. You can also alter the car to resemble the real set.

Welcome Apocalypse. I hope you enjoy it here! *satis*

I voted no because I have no interest in the game but I guess it would depend on the parts list of each set. If another license was to be purchased, it would have to be based on a very popular movie that everyone is farmillar with. I'm not saying Halo is not popular, just not as popular with the general public (including the parents of which a good 80% would be making the purchases). Now if they are scheduled to make a Halo movie and if it is big enough, maybe.

I don't know how any true collectors would be a MISB collector. I look at these people as future resellers. All the true Lego collectors that I know (this site included) collects sets to build and display or for parts, including myself. I can't wait to open each set that I get. I have two train sheds and some other sets that are unopen because they are part of my train display and I have no more room to build and keep them. It is killing me!!! I'm also about to open Apo's sets if he does not claim them soon... DAMN YOU APO!!!... Ok, better now ;) ;)

I bought this game for PS2 a few weeks ago. I'm not a big gamer except when it comes to Resident Evil. I like fun games that usually seem to be targeted to kids because I like to relax (If I want stressful games I will just go to work). ;) This game is very fun. I played it for a while until I developed a blister on my thumb. I was able to work my way to the beginning of Episode 3. I stopped at Episode 3 because I had to nurse my thumb and also because I want to see the movie before I play Episode 3. This game is very fun and is definitely targeted to kids; however, some levels such, as the pod race level is a pure pain in the balls. The best thing about the game is watching Mini-Figs run around and attack with light sabers. It does not matter what system you get this game for, except the Gameboy because the game is very basic and many levels are missing. THIS IS NOT DOOM 3!!! The graphics are very basic and does not require that you have a $3,000 gaming PC to run it. The graphics look the same on all platforms (except the Gameboy). If you are looking for a great fun game that follows the SW story pretty well I would recommend this game. If you are looking for a hard, graphics intensive (oh my god I need to over-clock my PC) game then purchase Doom 3. Just my opinion ~Orlego

Thanks for the info Jon! This looks like a pretty nice set, just don't like the heavy price. I know that it is the same as the locos but it seems Lego charges more for the train line now that they realized that most are bought by AFOL's. I did not think the heavy price tag would roll over to the rolling-stock. I figured Lego would price the rolling-stock around $19.95 or $24.95 and keep the higher prices for the locos. Oh well... It is a very nice set and I hope they release even more cars such as new tankers, box cars, car transports, etc...

I posted a new topic in the buy/sell section for this movie offer. I just thought I would post the link here for all those SW fans that don't visit the buy/sell section. Please click here for the offer info. ~Orlego

Shop at Home has an offer for a free movie ticket to see Star Wars (or any other movie) with a order of $50 or more. This offer is for the US but you may want to check out your home page to see if the same offer is availible in your country. The offer does not say that you must purchase Star Wars branded sets. It looks like they are just going by order total. Here is the info...
