  1. One of the Hemresa scouts arrived with haste at the gate of the Southern Tower asking for an audience with Nar Bilu or one of the diplomats. He was in luck, because Nar Bilu and his loyal crew were in town for a meeting with the architect of Bow’s Arch. The scout entered the great hall under escort of two guards, of which one approached the table to ask Nar Bilu for a brief moment of his time. He stood up, walked to the man and shook his hand. He told Nar Bilu what he overheard: I was wandering the woods one the east side of Hemresa when I was alarmed by a hooded man. I hid behind the first tree I could find. The hooded man stopped just five feet in front of me, impatiently waiting for what turned out to be another hooded man. The second man had a strange colour in his face and talked with a dark voice, a drow. The drow traded a pouch full of gems in return for a stack of letters. They both stood there analyzing the letters. The papers turned out to be maps of Avalonia with marks on them. He said that their scouts marked every Avalonian strategic location they could find. The drow thanked the hooded man, ending his conversation with: “You tell your lord, Robin Rascal, that he will be rewarded when we conquer these lands”. After they separated I rushed immediately to you. Nar Bilu was very grateful for this newly obtained intelligence, but he was also very troubled. He summoned two of this most loyal knights. Both were send to the different ends of Avalonia to inform Rogueang and Da Gothia of the betrayal of Robin Rascal’s band of mercenaries and the plans of the drow. When Nar Bilu sat back down at the table he struck his fist on the table. Bow’s Arch is highest priority, we have to find a secret location, suitable for our plans and finish before the drow reach our borders. Nar Bilu and Wig Glin together with Gideon’s architects and enough craftsmen are to leave by morning to find a suitable corner of Hemresa to start building the town of Bow’s Arch. Yillia d’Nathill was send out to round up specialists to inhabit this secret town. The second priority is for a legion of soldiers, under command of Val Kyri, to track down, capture and sentence Robin Rascal. By dawn all commanders, with an escort, leave the Southern Tower in different directions to perform their tasks.
  2. By the sight of the elven Sha the border guards of the snow elves of Crow clear way for Nar Bilu. Together with his elven henchmen, Nar Bilu rides to the elven Lord Rothilline who has a settlement to even with Raavage. Nar Bilu is welcomed into the community of the elves and is led to their leader. They feast all night. Besides the festivity they discusses a strategy and both decide to take part of this mission. Nocturnus should not fall in the hands of The Black Spire. It would be bad for business and they will most certainly cross borders if they manage to conquer Nocturnus. Rothilline agrees to accompany the wood elves and fight the war against the Black Spire. 3. Nar Bilu and a small regiment of woodelves leave Hemresa to assist his old friend Grimm with the battle over Nocturnus. His title of Sha of Elves will make it easier to recruit more elves on the way to Nocturnus. Nar Bilu remembers an elven lord protecting the border of Mitgardia and Nocturnus, on the foot of Rakath. After a weeks journey, Nar Bilu reaches the defence structure protecting the pathway leading to the snow elves. Solid rocks, icy roads and dead trees cut this scene. With no sense of loyalty these elves work for both The Mitgardians and the Noct and are perfect for assisting Nar Bilu on his promises. 4. Despite Lord Ssilyrrlith wishes, General Grimm still believes the Noct has some allies and there are enough opposers of the Black spire in other parts of Historica who can and will help. General Grimm himself travels into the far ends of Historica to seek out these allies. Suited in the Hemresa breastplate he once received from Nar Bilu, his heads to the centre part of Avalonia. On the break of dawn the Hemresa druid, called Killian, searches the Woods surrounding the Northern Tower for herbs and mushrooms, when a unfamiliar sound whispers in his ears and gets his attention. Killian sneaks up on the sound and from the east à dark man in armour approaches. Before the man can even notice the druid, roots sprout from the soil beneath him, strangling him and lifting him over twenty feet above the ground. The thundering sound of the magic alarms the guards at the Southern Tower, they haste to the scene. Under strict escort of the finest guards he enters the room and sits down at a designated seat. A moment later Nar Bilu arrives, looks surprised and falls in the arms of his friend. They talk for hours, about the old days until Grimm explained what is happening to Nocturnus. They negotiated the rest of the night and part of the morning, to come to an agreement. Nar Bilu is going to head to Nocturnus, accompanied by a reasonable sized regiment to aid his old friend of the east. By Avalonian law it feels like treason to Nar Bilu, but his old friendship with General Grimm, he feels obligated to send some form of reinforcements to his aid. To recent events of Drow encounters on Hemresa, Nar Bilu decides that most of his legion will be left to guard his beloved Hemresa. He decides to ride proudly with the Avalonian flag. His title of Sha of Elves will make it easier to recruit more elves on the way to Nocturnus. Continue to Challenge 1B... 6. Hemresa is one of the most fertile of the Mystic Isles. Farms, forests and fields are green, overgrown and full of food. Flora and fauna. The southern side of the island mountains raise above the shores. On both ends of the Hemresa Road à stronghold defends the island from intruders and control the trade routes between the Avalonian mainland and the Enchanted Forrest. Beauty The first foot Nar Bilu stepped on this island, he couldn’t believe the beauty. Everlasting green leafs, treetops rising to the clouds and water clear as skies gushing down strong solid rocks. A strategic location for his first stronghold. Snake trail Past the big rock separating mainland with his island a long dirt road twists its way, like a snake trail, to the other side of the island. They encounter different kind of species during their journey. All seem friendly and loyal to Avalonia. Rocky south After the road was mapped and the width of the island was measured they went off track. To the south of the road, rocks and hills covered most of the area. Dwarves dwell these lands. Agriculture Woodlands and fertile fields cover the rest of Hemresa. Some men already settled their families, living a farmers life, hoping for better days. Settlements On both ends of the Hemresa Road, Nar Bilu build small fortresses, to protect his land as well as both Avalonia mainland as the Enchanted Forest. Enough space for a regiment of footmen and archers. Hemresa is the pride of Nar Bilu and one day he hopes to prove himself and be honoured with a title of lord of Avalonia.
  7. These are the Nobles of Hemresa, protectors of the Enchanted Forest, commanders of the Hemresa Legion. Nar Bilu is a battle hardened and decorated commander of arms. He fought in different wars and even in the great battle leading to the separation of Historica in four regions. Choosing the side of Avalonia as his new home. After the great battle Nar Bilu was appointed duke and protector of Hemresa, an island connecting the mainland Avalonia with the Enchanted forest. A task he accepts with both hands. During the battles for the lands, Nar Bilu found shelter in an elven encampment. The leader of the camp took him up as a son. He received training in combat and the way of the elves. In front of a regiment of elven swordsmen and archers he won every battle they encountered. Granting him the title Sha of Elves. Also the elves gave him the gift of salvation. During this ritual a druid flowed enchantments through the veins of Nar Bilu slowing down his aging. Practically making him an half-elf. Yillia d’Nathill As Nar Bilu acquired Hemresa he consulted the lord of the encampment, Yillia, and offered him the forests covering Hemresa as their new home. Together with his friend and an army of elves, Nar Bilu travelled to his new home. Yillia is responsible for the green of the island and every other living thing on Hemresa. Wig Glin On the southern shore of Hemresa, mountains and rocks separate the island from the ocean. These mountains are rich of minerals and ores, which makes it almost logical that dwarves dwell here. On one of the expeditions, Nar Bilu encounters the chieftain of these dwarves called Wig. Nar Bilu introduced himself. The dwarf recognizes the man with his newly acquired title and offers his services, in arms as well as in trade. Wig is appointed to be master of stone and rock on this island. Val Kyri Nar Bilu is satisfied with his task. The dwarves are building the first fortress, the elves are scouting and mapping the area and a hand full of farmers and traders settled making the first settlement a fact. Economy is growing. It is time to report back to Albion. Nar Bilu travels with a small delegation to the capitol. After a brief session, Nar Bilu exits the courtyard somewhat disappointed. He asked for additional arms, but they denied. Instead he acquired a building, what he made a recruitment office. Nar Bilu appointed Val, who fought along Nar Bilu several times, manager of this office and responsible for recruiting an army fit for Hemresa.
