  3. Hi everyone. Here is my latest modular building. It's a handbag store, called "Coveted Clutch", that is based on my normal avatar. The store is on the ground floor and there is an apartment upstairs where the store owner and designer of the handbags lives. The bit from my avatar is the left side of the storefront, changed a little to make it wider and taller. I think of it as Soho meets Friends. Enough babble, here are some photos. My favourite part - the first floor windows. Overview of the store on the ground floor: Dining, lounge and kitchen on the first floor: Bedroom and bathroom on the second floor: More photos on flickr. C&C welcome!
  4. Hey everyone, new to the site. I have a hard question to ask all of you but didn't know where to post it so I'm starting a new thread...Ok so I've seen alot going on with this WW2 military scenes that people have been building for WW2 battle scenes and the such. The question I've got is, I collect vintage GI Joes (80's) and I'm looking to use lego for the back ground for my diearamas. I've seen this neat little bunker which is 12x12 on a 16x16 base plate, I've put a GI Joe into the bunker and it fits snugly, I'd like to make the bunker maybe twice the size of the 12x12 bunker and see how that looks with my GI Joe. What I'm looking to do is after I tackle this little project is I'd like to look into further buildings for 1/18th scale to fit the GI Joe scene. Thanks in advance for any and all help guys.
  5. Hi guys. Here is my latest modular - the Lion's Heart Hotel. A small boutique hotel, with just three rooms, including a very spacious penthouse. This one is also inspired by a Brisbane building - the Inchcolm Hotel. It has an elevator, which is borrowed from the Town Hall (the design, not the actual elevator). In the lobby is a statue of the knight who was said to have the heart of a lion in battle. And a neat little telephone bench. The first floor has a single and a double room. And the best room in hotel, the penthouse suite. The hotel is missing a restaurant and bar, but our guests will just have to go next door. I don't think I'd be able to lift the building if I added another floor! Good excuse to add a restaurant to the list of buildings to do. There are more photos on flickr. Comments and suggestions always welcome.
