It's frustrating indeed, maybe it has something to with them being named characters, but that is not the case with all? I actually think this is Lego fault not the license holder, if they put one of them in a unlicensed set it might show up on PAB. I think that happed to the lobster

Probably because most adults do not buy a single one I could be that Lego missed the mark with this, if so that is fine by me Probably not, however I do not think most kids get more than a few figs from each series anyway. We get 3 series a year so it is a very short time to collect a series as impulse gift etc and it would cost a lot of money to get them all (not counting duplicates if they do not scan them).

Probably, kids would not have much interest in that I think

2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What he said The BL sets are nice, but expensive and with nothing new and not official Lego sets so an easy pass for me. I still have the MTS to buy, but hope I can get it cheap in SFW in September The insider days start tomorrow and we can expect discounts on sets that retire this year, but find it unlikely LKC and MTS will drop much in price -
Some interesting new prints? in one of the sets also:

OK, I also buy mostly PAB directly from Lego these days, but I have saved up points for years now waiting for something worth spending them on in the reward centre and that do not happen a lot Yes that is right after you have triggered a reward the clock is ticking, so you better have something to buy in the next couple of months
-
Why?! Are you out of points? I thought it would be easier for most people to get a insider reward than another GWP you must spend a ton of money to get?

Maybe it's similar to when a part retire with a set then pops up in new set a few months later it it gets a new part number right? When a printed animal retire with a set and then pops up 2 years later in another set, maybe they need to design the printing from scratch for that part. Makes little sense why they do not just store the print on a computer for use later Or maybe they are made on different factories and that's why they need to design them again I must check, but I probably picked up the dark gray one since it also had the printed chest not that I noticed the slightly different face-print Talking about cats the star trek set comes with one, not sure if it is a crazy looking one, new color etc (must probably google it).. How will no printing affect the price, It should be cheaper right or is dual-moulded expensive on its own? I think the first was rather cheap, but the second not so much or do I remember wrong? The can print it later I assume? However has that ever happened with a dual-moulded part Pigeons can be rather colourful and diverse so printing would be useful

I am planning to do the same It's a nice GWP, but nothing that I must have. However if I am going to wait until they make one I must have, the gorillas etc are probably retired Somewhat irritating that the juvenile ones still have not come back in stock

2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I would argue that adding at least another horse in that set would increase the playability instead. I see your point and do not think that every set need to have 4-5 horses included, however since Lego are selling the horses for a lot on PAB it seems they value them higher in budgets when designing sets also. So the designers must really want a horse to include it in a set, during the 80-90ties the horse was apparently much more realistically priced so the designers could include one or more in set if they liked without it eating up a huge part of the budget compared to other parts -
2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That is probably a part of it since previously we would get normal horses in sets like that, like Paradisa and Town. More important: is probably that we do not have a Castle, Western or other theme that require a lot of horses. It's strange indeed, but they have one in this odd set that never retire: Maybe they made a lot in 2012-2013 and then suddenly had no sets to use it in after Castle, LOTR, Lone ranger was shut down It is plain greed with the animals prices these days, Lego knows we love them so they make us bleed for them Lego really did miss the mark with the Town square and cut the budget so bad they could not even include a horse in the set No that is the first place, not even the flagship castle sets of that time had more than 4 It's more realistic that carriages are pulled by 4 horses then 1 like here: However Lego could apparently still include a lot of horses in a smaller set even if it probably is not very likely and there would have to be a "need" for them in the set like this one with the deer: -

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I assume that is a new moustache? Could be very useful for dwarfs, vikings etc -
Is it the first time they have used that part for the rigging or is it a new mould? Looks interesting

2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes, without a doubt. However in this case I would have been disappointed with the lack of animals anyway when the 2 previous sets in the village had so many
