Where can I get swords from Little Armory Toys?
Jack Bricker posted a topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am really interested in getting some swords from Little Armory Toys and I would love to get them. Does anybody know where these are available? If so please let me know. -
Review: 6086 Black Knightâs Castle
Jack Bricker replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I have to say that this is one of my favorite castles. Even though I have never owned one I do have the Royal Knights Castle and that is very similer in terms of the color scheme and overall feel of the set. I also really liked you review of the set and I really enjoyed all of the pictures that you provided of the minifigures and the back of the beautiful set. Thank you for such a good review of one of the best Castles Lego ever produced. -
What made you get out of your LEGO dark age?
Jack Bricker replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was a total Lego nut from age 3 up until age 15. I quit because I was a little embarassed about my hobby and I was just starting to get into paintball and that was pretty expensive. Also that was when Lego's quality totally went down and there really wasn't anything interesting to get. I continued to not be interested in Lego much until I saw the Fantasy-Era them sets in 2007 and I totally fell in love with the Kings Castle Siege. Then I saw the Indiana Jones sets and after that the Pirates theme for 2009. Now with the Imperial Flagship I am totally hooked and I am trying to get as many Lego sets as I can afford. I think by the end of the year I will have doubled my collection. -
I have to say that I like both. The one with the extra minifigure is nice but, so is the skeleton and the horse. So, I guess for me it is six to one and half a dozon to the other.

MOD's for Brickbeard's Bounty and Imp Flagship
Jack Bricker replied to Diamondback's topic in Pirate MOCs
One thing that really bothers me with both the Imperial Flagship and the Brickbeards Bounty and just about every other big pirate ship from Lego is how high the quarter deck is to the main deck. The quarter deck should be lowerd and the main deck raised. If that was done the ship would look a lot better. Also I would have used a different color for the ammunician crates and the windows. The white color just clashes with the dark brown. -
Eldorado Fortress and Imperial Fort put together! Take a look
Jack Bricker replied to Ivan K.'s topic in Pirate MOCs
I agree with everyone else, Nice concept but you should swap out the yellow with both tan and white then it would look perfect. Other than that it is really nice. -
The Skull Beneath The Skin - Pirate Hideout
Jack Bricker replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Pirate MOCs
This has to be my favorite pirate fort so far. It is only missing a good pirate cave but, other than that it is perfect. Great MOC. -
Really nice ship. I like how you did the sails and the overall build of this ship. I also like how you made it an American warship. Great. I agree it is time that the Americans start showing some muscles. Great MOC.

Brickbeard's Revenge- new booms and changes
Jack Bricker replied to Blackheart Brit's topic in Pirate MOCs
That is exactly would should have been done to the BB. You did a fabulous job and I am really impressed. The only two things that I would change is that I would lower the captains cabin and swap the black and grey plates with brown ones for the floor. Really nice ship and I am very impressed. -
Well I would suggest that you start justifying the price because it is going to only get harder to justify in the near future when these big bad boys sell out. As for the quality of the parts and design they are second to none. Oh, this ship would also blow the renagade runner out of the water so you might want to get a different pirate ship to battle the Imperial Flagship.

Why does Lego have to go down the dark evil road of cheap/junky parts? I remember when Mega Bloks was making sets that were more detail, more interesting, and they had parts that were as high a quality as the old Lego sets. I got back into Lego because they were making better quality sets and now I find that they are cutting corners. Does anybody have a reason why Lego is doing this?

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
Jack Bricker replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
I agree with everyone else on contacting the seller and seing if he will make good on his mistake. As for the smoke smell there are a number of vinyl cleaners out there that could get it out. A lot of the people in the action figure hobby could probably give you some good advice. I would search the internet and see if you could find a good solution. Hope that his helps.- 502 replies

I never heard this one before. Very funny.

My Imperial Guards are really getting tired of that blunderbuss. They want a really rifle. Can't wait for this to come out. Brickarms has done a fabulous job on this one. Now if somebody would just come out with a more realistic flintlock pistol.

I am really impressed with you jeep. Being a former JP fan I really like JP legos and I look forward to what you got planned next.

That is a really nice collection. I really like the shelves. I would do something similer but, I also like Lego pirates and those tall ships are just too big for shelves so, I use a display table instead.

Which Is Your Favorite 2010 Licensed Theme?
Jack Bricker replied to curtisrlee's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have to say that Prince of Persia is my favorite of the new licensed themes. I have never really cared for Toy Story and I don't like Ben 10 at all but, I have really liked the Prince of Persia game series so I am really looking forward to getting those sets. -
Those are some very good points prof1515 and those are some of the reasons why I think we will see Indy again in the near future. Lego had to pay a fortune for that license and I imagine that they are planning to reap the benefits from it. I remember Lego saying that they wanted the Indy line to be like their SW line when the Indy sets first came out so I have a hard time believing that Lego is just going to pull the plug on Indy after two years.

I agree with you on the cannons not being level but, you could just remove the grate at the bottom of each gun port in order to help level the cannons. You could also put plates on that deck in order to raise it and then the cannons would be level. As far as using arches for the gun ports is concerned I like it. I do believe some of the older 17th century Man of Wars did have this and they looked just beautiful.

Really nice ship. I was curious how many mid-hull sections you used. I am really impressed by how you did the stern with the new hull pieces. I looks just a little squareish but other than that it is really great. I think that we will all have to start resorting to using the new hull pieces since Lego has stopped using the old ones for its sets and also since they use the reddish-brown instead of their older brown. Great job and I can't wait to see here with all of the sails.

Here is a picture of the HMS Victory on this link. It has blue on the bow around the doors that are in front of the poop deck. Oh, and I am not the photographer of this photo. Just for the Legal mumbo jumbo bit. Somebody Elses Picture.

Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Jack Bricker replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
I would really like to see a more realistic flintlock pistol like this one. This is what I would like more than anything. Playmobil has a very good looking flintlock pistol and Lego is still using that old one that looks so childish. I would also like to see a new musket with a bayonet. That would be really cool. The one that they are using now looks like a blunder musket which is basically a 18th century shotgun. I would like to see a better musket. A new stern would be great. Using the bow as the stern does not look very realistic and I don't see why they can't come out with a good stern piece. I would also like to see a different sword. Megabloks has a really cool sword and I don't see why Lego can't come out with a neat captain sword. Finally I would like to see powdered wigs. But, I want to be able to put the hats on the wigs still. Having bald Lego people just doesn't make much sense especially since every one of Lego's competitors in the Pirates theme has powdered wigs. I am sorry for posting multiple times on this thread. I will be removing my other posted images and I will be posting them on this post. -
Preference of Imperial Guard Epaulette colour
Jack Bricker replied to Peg Leg Pascoe's topic in LEGO Pirates
I have always liked gold. I also thought that is what yellow was trying to represent so I will have to say that gold is my favorite. -
I like what you have going here. The way you did the baseplate is great and very detailed but, you are also giving the fort itself a very classic look to it. I also like how you are doing the interior. Very nice fort. I look forward to you completing it. I would make one suggestion, you are using a little too much red on the white walls. I know that you are trying to simulate the bricks but, it is starting to look like white with red poka dots. Other then that it looks great. Keep up the good work.

Nice ship. I like it. Good color scheme and the way you built up the hull was pretty good as well.
