Lego 5986 Amazon Ancient Ruins Info?
thomassio replied to moschino's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I had the same problem as you, untill august this year. After years of looking at the internet, (I think I started at the same time as you) I finally got one on Ebay. I looked on ebay every day for half a year, lost at least 10 auctions, and finally won an auction. (with Gixen sniper) It costed me €60 + €20 shipping costs + €20 douane costs = €100 in total. I wish you all luck to get one, because it is a beautifull collectors item. -
I was there the last three days, together with Ecclesiastes and Mahjqa. Here are the pictures I've made: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=515254

Hi there! A while ago I made this castle for the CCC. I wanted to build a red castle, and this was the result: folder Thanks for looking!

A while ago I ordered a lot of dark green bricks without knowing how to use them, but they turned out to be handy while building this castle. What the miner is doing there? I don't know. I wanted to build a little scene underground, but didn't know what exactly, then I found one of the rock raiders on my table.

Thank you! I started building in november, and finished it on the last day of 2011.

That is a very nice compliment Redhead, Thanks, the towers are also one of my favorite parts. Dankjewel, I also enjoyed looking at your Mocs on the Lowlug-meeting.
-
Thanks! I also like the colors. I just love the dark red lego color, and that is why I use it a lot.

Some time ago I was in my lego room, and I found this old Moc half damaged under a lot of dust, so I made a new, smaller and final version. A gentleman is smoking his pipe, and the guy in the boat is in a troublesome situation. Inside are Johnny Thunder and his friends looking at a treasuremap. Presumably, the event takes place at the same time as The Last Crusade movie. More pictures here: folder What are those guys doing on the roof? I hope you like it! -
You used some interesting technicues. I like it very much! especially the last pic.

this is just beautiful! It's a very nice idea, and I just love archeaological themed MOCs.

I present you my latest MOC: The Hendrik Castle! folder: what do you think of it?
-
lego40k, what you discribe was exactly my intention for this moc. thanks for the comment! about the blue/tan building, I hadn't enough tan pieces.
-
that's a very nice moc! I like the cheeseslope roof. I actually like everything of it.
-
Hi KielDaMan, I admit the castle is build with pieces which were almost all by chance on my table. But the idea was actually a little town with colorfull houses, and lots of strange angles. But I don't understand what you mean with pearl gold, because only the flag is pearl gold.

MOC: Adventurers treehouse observatory
thomassio replied to Decale's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
that's a nice treehouse. I like the rock with different colors. And the car looks like one of the adventurers' cars. Only the stairs are a bit strange, I wouldn't use the palmtree piece. -
