I'd like to check the night stand drawers

    "On to 1d next?"

There's not much that's odd looking in the night stand drawers besides a pair of fashionable evening dress gloves and some assorted jewelry.

    Grace will examine the desk.

"I'll also vote for 1d, there doesn't seem to be much here."

The desk has some various paperwork in it related to students that Sophie has, including some examination results and term papers.

Arthur checks under the bed, @KotZ "Mr. Mallory, have you had anyone else in your room during this trip?"

Arthur accompanies the group to 1d once they are finished in Jack's room.

There's nothing suspect underneath the bed.

    Grace will examine the closet.

The closet has several suitcases and some more books. There doesn't appear to be anything out of place. The suitcases appear empty and there's a variety of clothing on the rack.

    I'll check the bathroom

The bathroom is meticulously organized and is set properly. There's various toiletries about.

"Guess I'm checking the trash. I still want answers thought Mr. Mallory."

There doesn't seem to be anything in the trash.

The door handles may have had many hands touch them, but what about the flush handle on the toilet? Has Grace scanned that? Who touched it?
If she's already scanned that, Grace will examine the trash instead.

Nobody has touched that but Jack himself. There's not much in the trash that's relevant.

"Once they've scanned the toilet handle shall we got to 1B next? I think that plus 1d and 1f are the rooms on this floor we are still yet to search".

1B is Sophie's room. Her room is a standard room to the other ones. It appears a bit tidier than most of the other rooms that have been searched so far. Everything seems to be nice, neat, and tidy. There's some heavy textbooks on the desk next to a reading lamp and another frog paperweight.

"Well, looks like we found where that one bloody shard came from."

Grace will scan the shards with her Bicorder and bag them as evidence.

They seem to have come from the same teapot.

Oi Jack mate. Let me check ya hands for a min mate.

I'd like to inspect Jack Mallory's hands for any injuries

There doesn't appear to be any scars or injuries on his hands.

Emily disassembles the writing implements in Jack's room to look for gadgetry including USB sticks.

Emily smashes -- I mean disassembles -- the various writing implements. There's no hidden storage drive sticks or anything like that. Many hours of Jack's work are potentially destroyed by this.

I'd like to check the tablets for any questionable material on them

There's just drafts for future books and previous books as well.

"So at this point, what are we exactly looking for? Do we think there's enough evidence that Mr. Parry committed the murder? Granted he's got amnesia for the time being, so that's certainly not helpful. It's looking like Mr. Peck may have had technology that was worth stealing, is that what we're trying to find?"

    Arthur checks the bathroom.

The bathroom is a standard passenger bathroom. There's various toiletries on the sinktop, and the Marvin the Martian plushie still in the medicine cabinet, which is open. It appears there may be something behind the toilet as well.

Grace will go through the desk drawers.

Afterwards I suggest we continue to 1a.

The desk drawers have more papers in them relating to the samples and animals that were brought with him.

Jack's room has many books and tablets in it, as well as various writing implements strewn around the room. The rest of the room is a standard one.

"Should probably put some sort of checklist together so we don't skip anything:

    Bathroom
    Closet/Safe
    Desk
    Trash
    Bed

    Anything else?"

Speaking so, Arthur investigates the bed in Seymour's cabin and if there's anything under the mattress.

    There's nothing under the bed.

5 hours ago, Lord Duvors said:

    "Darn."
Grace will search the trash instead.

The trash is quite full of various animal products and half-eaten foods. It doesn't look like there's anything worthwhile inside there.

  9. 10 minutes ago, Lord Duvors said:

Grace will examine the papers on Seymour's desk.
"We should probably decide where we're going to search once we're done here as soon as possible." she says. "I'd suggest continuing down this side to 1a, Mallory's quarters."

The papers on the desk are all scientific notes that a typical zoologist would have. There's theories of how Earth's animals would survive on Alpha Centauri and there's also DNA sequences of all the different fauna and flora that are on the planet. The documents look very important and official. The tablets that are also there are filled to its data capacity on similar subject matter. The desk is messy and unorganized and it looks like Charlie's been hard at work here at night. There's also several custody records for the samples that are in the storage section of the ship.

  10. 13 hours ago, Waterbrick Down said:

"I have a feeling we're not going to get through all the rooms before we reach port. Mr. Seymour, you will be charged for the damage to the furniture. Now let's begin." Arthur searches the bathroom.

The bathroom is just as unclean as the main cabin. There doesn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary except for a ripped shower curtain and litter all over the floor from the litter box that Charlie had brought along.

    8 hours ago, Kristel said:

    Noah searches inside the wardrobe.

The wardrobe has all of Charlie's clothes in it. There doesn't seem to be anything that's out of place.

I'd like to check the cooler

The cooler is filled with meat and other food that's been stolen from the dinner services and brought back for Colin to eat.

  11. The group arrives outside of Charlie Seymour's room, presumably. Opening the door reveals a standard room. There's a large animal crate near the corner of the room where the night stand is. The room looks like the others on the ship, save for some furniture that's been scratched up a bit. The room has a bit of a funky smell owing to the fact that nobody has been cleaning the rooms since the incident and there's a big cat spending most of its time in there. The desk has a usual paperweight on it, along with various other folders, papers, and tablets. Elsewhere in the room, there's a cooler with fresh food in it that Charlie has been hoarding to feed Colin.

Gabriella has checked out an autobiography about Captain Bennett.

There's nothing obvious in the trash cans that you can see.

I check the tablets for any odd reading choices.

There’s nothing odd on the tablets. It doesn’t appear that there’s been much reading on this trip, people seem to have been occupied with other issues. The reading tablets are wiped at the end of every voyage as well.

    15 hours ago, Hinckley said:

I'd like to tip every book forward a few degrees to see if any open a secret passage.

There’s no secret passages revealed by the books being tipped slightly. It takes Gabriella a long time to do this.

15 hours ago, Lord Duvors said:

Grace will check behind the bookshelves.

Grace cannot check behind the bookshelves, as the bookcases are bolted to the ground in the event of turbulence. She does, however, check behind the books and is unable to find anything of any note.

"Well, that doesn't really tell us anything. Though it's odd that there doesn't seem to be even remnants of spittle from someone's breath. I wonder..."
Grace will scan the bottle of cleaning fluid to see if there's any DNA there.

There's no DNA in there, but there's residual DNA from Arthur on the actual container.

8 hours ago, Waterbrick Down said:

"Why burn something in here as opposed to a private room?"

Arthur inspects whether the storage room has a smoke detector and if so whether it's been disabled.

There's a fire suppression system, however something like a burning piece of paper would not have triggered it.

"I'd like to check inside the bag of the vaccum cleaner to see if aby evidence/clues are inside"

"Not that I can recall, no. From what I can remember Colin was hungry so I was giving him some snacks. Then I got up to chevk on my Petri dishes when the power went out"

A bunch of dust falls onto the floor, but there's no real dirt or anything in there.

    5 hours ago, jimmynick said:

Emily takes the lid off the teapot and looks inside.

"Does anyone on this vessel have any means of lighting a fire? Anything from a butane lighter to laser vision?"

The teapot is empty. There are means of lighting fires on this ship, especially during candle dinners.

1 hour ago, Waterbrick Down said:

"Are you saying you were out of your room when the power went out?"

Arthur checks if there is a lock on the door to housekeeping and if it seems to have been recently tampered with.

There's no lock on the door, but it's meant to be off-limits to guests.

Charlotte picks up the magnifying glass.

"Hopefully this will come in handy."

She then moves to inspect the drills? on the floor, picking one up and examining it in detail.

Charlotte picks up the socket wrench (it's not a magnifying glass) and then inspects the drills. They're top of the line technology and they don't appear to be used much. It seems that Blue Star typically replaces broken furniture rather than repairing it.

4 minutes ago, Lord Duvors said:

"Well I'd still like to have a look at the weapon anyway. It seems kinda important."

Grace will scan the drawers with the bicorder to see if there's any DNA evidence.
"Okay, this probably shouldn't be here. Tell me, who's supposed to be able to access this room?"

There's no residual DNA evidence. The cinders that are in one drawer appear to have been there for less than a week, though from what you can tell by your bicorder.

  16. 9 hours ago, Hinckley said:

I would like to take the FABULAND wrench.

I'd like to open all of the drawers and look inside.

Gabriella pockets the massive FABULAND wrench. The drawers are all mostly empty. Inside one of them, however, appear to be cinders from a paper that has been burned and then hastily thrown in the drawer. It's barely noticeable and it doesn't appear possible to reconstruct it.
