  1. I'd just like to say that it is totally splendid that I can now use the option to display brick outlines without everything becoming invisible. You rock, LDD team. Rock like a mountain.

  3. Now that LDD 4.3.5 has added parts 91988 and 99781, I've been able to get these done! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7347 - Highway Pickup [Model A] - theme: Creator Errors: Collision error between part 63965 (Stick 6M W/Flange) and part 6091 - this is one of those instances where something is not allowed to protrude into a brick's cavity. The two 63965s have been placed either side of the truck's exhausts. Part 98785 (FX Light 2X3X1 1/3, Yellow) not available in LDD - replaced with clear-coloured part 54869 (FX Light 2X3X1 1/3, Red) No string for the winch / hook, so the hook has been positioned to "hang" from the bar on the 4X4 vehicle's bumper. 1:1 MOCs

That whisk... How the- My brain is scrambled. Very much like an egg.
  7. These set numbers seem to be in the same range (30000+) as the Mini "Propeller Adventures" (30180) and Mini "Transport Chopper" (30181) polybag sets which were released this year - could you tell us if these may also be polybags, or large enough to be box sets? I'm already quite interested in 31002, 31006, and 31007 for the green pieces.

    Wyvern Tilt-Rotor

AAA! I was wracking my brain trying to remember what the bonus Creator alt for 7292 reminded me of, and this is it. You've done a super job on it, too.

    A Couple of Hot Rods

As a person who tends to appreciate the little things, I am very impressed by the use of a rocker plate for the steering wheel and dashboard on the white jalopy. I actually tried to use that idea on one of my own MOCs, but ran into complications.
  10. Since I am a huge fan of the 8w and 10w Creator-themed sports cars, and seeing as I can't wait for Lego to release another one, I designed my own. I wanted to create a model which incorporated some of the nice ideas from the Super Speedster (5867), such as the clean-looking mirrors, visible engine, and opening bonnet - but I wanted these features in an eight-knob wide model. Most of the black parts were originally coloured Earth Blue, to match the paintjob of a die-cast Lancia model that I owned when I was a wee bairn. The chassis was always going to be black, but due to the absence of a lot of Earth Blue parts, the whole thing now looks like a bumblebee. The Lancia which inspired the colour of this model may have been a rally car (can't remember, I was five), so I mashed the words "rally" and "bumblebee" together, and came up with a fictional marque: "Brambley Motor Works". This segues nicely into some waffle about how the shape is mostly inspired by a BMW touring car design. A spare tyre! OH YES. I really think the Super Speedster should have had one of these. FUN FACT: part 56902 seems to be the only wheel hub for technic snaps which can be attached to a jumper plate in LDD 4.2. Maybe this is an oversight. GRRRRR. It is VERY hard to get these wheels on after attaching the wheel arches, and impossible the get them off again without breaking the thing to bits, but this only feeds the imagination - you wouldn't want your wheels to fall off in the middle of a SICK DRIFT. Exhausts as wide as baked bean tins - perfect for letting everybody within a 1-mile radius hear that you have a car. Here's an attempt at making it road-legal. Tinted windscreens are not allowed in Blighty, because the Ministry of Transport thinks that they will make our drab weather look like darkness. The spoiler was also modified for rear visibility. The sills below the doors and wheel arches are not necessary, since this vehicle will not be expected to slide around muddy hairpins. Exposed engines are also not allowed in Britain, so this wouldn't actually pass an MOT. I really wish there was a "glass pane" for part 2352. It's a shame, but cripes, look how flush everything is around it. An LXF is available here, if you like that sort of thing.

    MOC: Brambley Sporto R

LAWKS! You're absolutely correct with the suggestion that it was an 037. The model I owned was most likely the Grifone Team car in the article you linked to. There are some photos of a model here, complete with light pod. I just remembered the name of the BMW which partly influenced the shape, too: it's an M1 touring car. So you've not only helped me to remember some things from 27 years ago, but I now know why I wasn't sure whether to label this MOC as a Rally or GT car. It's a bit of both! Looking at the Stratos, I think that would be a nice thing to build. If you ever try making something a bit larger yourself, I'd love to see it.
  12. I started work on 7347 - Highway Pickup (theme: Creator), but lost my bottle when I couldn't find part 4654582 in LDD 4.2.5. I could probably replace it with part 6009014, but I wouldn't be happy with the result. EDIT: This set is now available here
  13. Sorry, my notes for that model probably made it seem like it was a MOC. I've updated the post with a link to the thread where I got the plans.
  14. I made this to cheer up my Brother, because he enjoys massive vehicles with wheels. He is melancholy because he has a mad wife who doesn't understand him. I hope that you enjoy this model, or empathise with my brother's plight, or perhaps even both. LXF: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Gnac/Vehicles/threeatonce.lxf ▲ The linked LXF looks like this, which is the livery of the "Arriva" fleet. They rule the roads around here with an aluminium fist. ▲ Their arch enemies are the "First" fleet, whose buses have a questionable paintjob. I'm told that these are called "Barbie buses". There are actually things like this! I recoloured the original model to see if I could, but you could probably localise it. Things I wanted to do but couldn't, because LDD 4.2.5 made a fool of me: There's a little machine next to the driver's seat, where he or she presses some buttons and the blessed thing pukes out a ticket. I don't know how to make that. I hacked something together to give the impression of tax discs on the windscreen, but there were collision issues. Even though I made a hinged engine flap on the rear of this behemoth, there's only a 1w space to fit an engine. So I didn't make one. The wheels look TINY. The next size up look too big. What am ah gonna do? Things I actually did, and was really pleased with: The windows are those 1x4x6 things which are intended for buildings, placed sideways and secured by the seats. I actually started constructing the model with those. Harpoons for the windscreen wipers! When I rotated them in their holders, they became almost flush with the tapering windscreen! Actually making this thing. It seems I taught my Brother to bend the rules a bit with LDD. EDIT: Oh cack, I may have posted this in the wrong place.
  15. Some bonus models! 7291 - Street Rebel [Model D] - theme: Creator Model D: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Gnac/Creator/_7291d.lxf Errors: None Notes: I don't even know what the heck this is supposed to be! Yay for rocking plates!

MOC: The Warriors - Cyrus Speech

This is great! Such a cult film, it's been the source of many samples used in hip-hop and jungle choons. I could go dizzy trying to identify everyone in this diorama. Do I see The Warriors themselves near the top-right of the last pic?
  17. Oh hi, time to stop lurking and contribute! I didn't see any LXF files for this here, so I made them. 7345 - Transport Chopper (theme: Creator) 7345 - Transport Chopper [Model A] - theme: Creator Model A: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Gnac/Creator/_7345a.lxf 7345 - Transport Chopper [Model B] - theme: Creator Model B: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Gnac/Creator/_7345b.lxf 7345 - Transport Chopper [Model C] - theme: Creator Model C: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Gnac/Creator/_7345c.lxf [Possible] errors > model A: The 1x1 cone on the rotor blades may be wrong; I had a heck of a time getting it to sit atop the cross axle until I tried one of the other three. Notes: Getting the vehicles to mount the ramps was a fun exercise in making scaffoldings with hinges.
