Metal Part General Discussion topic

The metre long beams could be handy as internal structure for a large span railway bridge with actual LEGO attached round them -
[MOC] (modification/addition) 40649 Scaled-Up Minifigure - adding a studded bald head
stagecoachfan posted a topic in Special LEGO Themes
40649 Scaled-Up Minifigure. Adding a studded bald head as an alternative to the hat. Shots also included of the figure with my 6x scaled-up brick-built bricks (perfect partner!). Last 2 pics show the fig with a 6x actual size custom 3D-printed LEGO flower that I purchased online - also the perfect size! -

What is the best way to display Lego inside a car?
stagecoachfan replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The dots plates with adhesive strips rather than the stitch-on version would be easier than trying to get a needle and thread through the dashboard !😁 -
AliExpress can be useful for Lego compatible parts. I've bought 4x4 transparent clear tiles, 16x16 transparent clear plates, various sizes of plates with studs top & bottom and 1x2 bricks with stud connections (antistuds) on top and bottom. All good quality, fairly cheap and often free postage. (Got those for specific projects since LEGO don't do those parts - if LEGO do make a part I prefer the real thing either new or off bricklink)

Corncob part does exist now, in the grocery store set among others

Brick-built Animals VS Molded Animals
stagecoachfan replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I generally prefer moulded animals as they look a bit more "realistic" in general. As an additional thought, since humans are animals, it could be argued that minifigures are "moulded animals" since they use specialised parts! -
Some mods I made to mine, including adding an all important bus stop! Quite pleased with the sign, using printed 1x6 brick, two 1x2-1x4 brackets, four curved slopes and jumper plates on back to hold the brackets together and connect to station wall. Cafe and waiting room windows are removable and platform edge is extended by 2 studs to reduce the gap (train doors still open)

YouTube video of the mods I made to mine is at went off brand for the roof using a nice 16x16 transparent clear plate to let in extra light, added extra shelves and back wall, moved counter back 2 studs to increase floor space. Added suitable carrot guy mascot to join pea girl - plant equipment on roof has secondary use to store the mascot minifig hair pieces
