I got the bunnies set earlier this week at Myers. I think it hit the shelves at the same time as the Bionicle sets. Did they have the entire SW range, entire Bionicle range and the Lego Movie Sets? -

Anything in Melbourne yet? Also it's disappointing to not hear anything about Bionicle or TLM yet, I guess they'll be in the second Feb wave. Oh well. -
So have there been any prelims of the Imperial Assault Carrier yet? I'm pretty eager to see that.

Anyone else notice that the colors don't seem to match the descriptions from London Toy Fair very well? Hopefully this is true, as those mixes of trans colors are incredibly obnoxious and while the reddish-orange might tie them together as a team it certainly does not tie the models themselves together well. The new bone pieces are... interesting. I would much rather prefer some new shells, which we still haven't seen since 2011, but I guess this is better than nothing. I'm also curious as to what the Golden Masks are meant to be... obviously they will not be those masks in the set, as it would be odd to Exclude Tahu and Galis masks. Also is anyone else noticing those chain elements on Skull Slicer and Grinder? Do you guys think they'll be new? Not quite, AFOL is encompassing of all things LEGO, including contraction. Maybe the term would be an Adult Fan of System?

So Australia is getting a February release according to the catalog and apparently New Zealand is getting a March one. Hooray for Oceanic countries. So does anyone know where I might have some luck buying or even pre-ordering the sets from somewhere who is actually getting them when LEGO said they would?

I highly doubt that our Big Bad would end up being some low price point set. He will almost certainly be a titan, as has always been the case. I suppose it's possible that we get him protector size with a vehicle or creature, like Turaga Dume and Nivawk back in 2004.

He can also apparently fly on his boomerangs. :u But if box art is anything to go off, it looks like Stone is tying more into sand than anything, as Pohatu seems to be flying on a sandstorm in both images. Also the Stone Protector is described to have a sandstorm blaster or something.

I saw someone mention this on 4chan I think, but; Is Kopaka using a Mask of Shielding in this image? It would seem to be at least some sort of shielding power, and also the mask he is wearing seems to look similar to Tahu's Hau: Perhaps the Golden Masks will come with other powers, along with the 'increased elemental powers'? It seems odd, but would be interesting.

I'm loving these dual-function tools. Very nuva-esque. Anyway, I guess Pohatu can fly now? Or perhaps deliver a rocket-powered kick.

If you got to agree with Grima here, the torso frames are largely unwieldy, but unfortunately are the only parts with sufficient ball joints. Perhaps if the torso frames could be split into two sections (like the inika build), it might be more versatile?

If it is true that the second wave only has five large sets, it will still be interesting. I'd be excited to see what they do with five ccbs "titans". Hopefully they aren't all humanoid.

To be honest, I have to say that I am a little disappointed in the lack of 'Matoran Words', a.k.a alien jargon. I could settle for things like Master Toa or Matoran Protectors (or whatever it is they are), but names like Skull Spiders is kinda dull, and I would have liked to see some made up name for them. However, I'm fairly confident that they can establish the mystery of 2001, especially if they are no longer in the MU. Also is it just me or have none of the Matoran words ever had a plural form with an 's' on the end? It was always Toa and Visorak rather than Toas and Visoraks.

We can't really expect LEGO to use the old terminology right off the bat. How is a new fan meant to know what a "kanohi forged from protodermis" is? Of course we will be seeing more understandable words like 'magic' and 'gold' Speaking of which, I hope they drop the 'everything is protodermis' thing if we are still in the MU. It made things awfully confusing.

I imagine that control over wind will be incorporated into Jungle, or some other element. Also the only reason I can imagine that they decided to bring back the Mata was to establish this line as Bionicle, after this we will probably see lots of new characters, something I'm looking forward too.

Now that I look at it again, Pohatu's kakama reminds me a lot of the ones the matoran wore in MoL.

Another thing to notice is that on Pohatus box art there are two large moons in the sky - which more or less rules out a continuation if they are on Spherus Magna, which would have been reformed.

Wow, these are pretty. It's good to see how much effort is going into the design of this stuff. Also, it looks like we are getting a new head mold with a brain/eye piece. I can't see any other reason why the back of the head would be so elongated, other than perhaps to look similar to the older heads.

Since we don't actually know the size of the MoCr, it would be rather funny if it turned out it was actually a visor for a minifig helmet... :P

What were your First and Last BIONICLE G1 Sets?

My first would be Pohatu Mata, unless you want to count the mctoran, in which case my first would be Jala. It was getting the mctoran from McDonald's that got me into Bionicle, and Lego, after all. My last, I think, was the Piraka Stars set. The stars weren't great but they had some interesting parts. -
Technically yeah, but the Lego colors are officially called "fluorescent". Also with the talk of trans takanuva - I think we would be likely to see trans yellow elements. I think white and gold shells with trans yellow bones would look cool, and make him feel like a real being of light.

The gears do fit, but they won't spin freely there due to the liftarm-part of the torso (according to LDD). If you moved the gears out a bit using a half-length spacer, it would work, but you would need a bigger gear then.
