21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF

Is it bad I actually like the finished set more than the original design? Like yeah, it's smaller and less moody, but I love the brighter fantastical colours and the dragon feels so much more like a classic DnD dragon. However, still not picking it up due to the price.

Does it fit better here? I get that there may be appeal from fans of non-licensed stuff, but that can be the case for a whole host of things. It’s not like Marvel or Indiana Jones are in the Action/Adventure subforum.

Why is this thread in Historic instead of Licensed themes? I've been checking for days and only though to use the search bar today, but seems like an odd choice. Anyway, the set looks great, but unfortunately I don't spend that sort of money on Lego sets so it's a no go unless it goes on deep discount or I get it as a gift (both being rather unfeasible). On the other hand, while I don't care for all of the choices I'll probably end up getting the full set of the CMF.

    Lego Dreamzzz 2023

To be honest I’m rather happy with the robot coming with the printed dome version of Z-Blob rather than the dreamling-style version. Looks much more accurate to the show than the weird humanoid one.

Part two is currently out on Netflix (at least in the UK). Have been enjoying it so far just like the last part. Also

    LEGO Ninjago 2023 Discussion

Hmm. The mini figure selection is great, and the build is quite good, but I agree that there some parts that feel like it didn’t have enough care put into it. Will probably have to see a review before I say much more, but at the moment I’m unconvinced, and it’s not pushing either way on the Gardens. …. That Bionicle jumper print is class though, despite it being inaccurate for the character. If I end up getting the set I might give it to my sigfig.

Unfortunately I don't, as I was not making enough for how much they cost, and the aftermarket is mad. It’s a tough decision, seeing as I’ve never spent more than £200 on a single aside from my PS5 but on the other hand it looks really cool and based on the aftermarket for the others I’ll be kicking myself if I want it in the future. What’s the height of it? On the topic of tomorrrow’s set images, I wonder what the odds are of that including the markets?

The upcoming release of the Ninjago City Markets is tempting me to pick up the Gardens before that retires and shoots up in price, but it costs a week’s worth of my wages. Tough decision, though I’ll probably wait at least until the Markets are revealed.

    Dream Lego Licensed Themes

I'm hoping for Percy Jackson sets to tie into the series coming out around next year. If the series is based off the books as much as they claim it to be, there are some really cool things they could adapt.

    Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion

The far fetched part is that Hasbro, a rival toy company, is licensing Transformers to Lego, not the idea of a transforming Lego robot.

My biggest problem with Kreo was that you had to take apart one mode to make the other, which kind of breaks the fun of quickly changing from robot to [insert other mode]

I would love it (in contrast to my wallet) if sets 76985-76988 were also Horizon Zero Dawn sets with various machines and maybe some small structures.

I have to say, I really like that combo mech. It actually combines vehicles into a robot instead of total reconstruction! The individual vehicles actually look quite good too! Shame it seems that Kai and Jai can't pilot the mech though. Will probably pick up.
