Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Anyone notice the half road plate with that crane set? I wonder what variations of the new road system we will get. Could certainly do with some curves -

Ah OK thanks.

I thought there was a car and a Jeep from one of the teasers?

Not just an amazing looking set but the balance of the design from that side pic! The flat tree top and heavier build on the back to balance the weight of both vehicles. Can't wait to see Jang review this one and better yet to sort all the pieces at once and enjoy the build old school.

Official LEGO statement regarding Master Builder Series
shotgunmcos replied to Cwetqo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Not to add fuel to the fire but why is MBS not branded on the Cloud City set? Surely the decision about MBS was made long before the release so a new box design with MBS on it would have avoided most of the complaints about it and drummed up excitement instead. Seems like LEGO missed a beat here either way I have the Sandcrawler, Deathstar, MF and Slave 1. So 50/50 UCS and MBS. Display vs play is a good description and I think its a good move by LEGO, albeit odd how it came out -
LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

I think no matter what TLG created there would be complaints. If this was perfect in every way then the complaint would be about stickers. If it was €100 cheaper, a brilliant build but fewer MFs and no exclusives = complaints. If they went twice as big UCS MF style and it was as amazing as that (despite the MF complaints and sticker complaints) folk would complaint about the price, exclusivity etc.. I don't mind a mix of Play and Display for these big expensive sets. Some are more display and others play. I guess those that hate the Death Star (Version 2) will not like this as its the same play idea. Only better in my opinion. The minifigures are apt for each scene and brilliantly detailed. The scenes are all quality but of course you could MOD to improve again to your own spec. 4 sectors of details scenes plus a Cloud Car and Slave 1. That Slave 1 is a little baby brother of the UCS and like the new X wing and Tie Fighter playsets, indicative of the lessons that Master Builders have learned from the more successful UCS. I was excited to see this. I have no old Cloud City sets (apart from UCS Slave 1) and this is a marvelous addition. 20 MFs! (Inc the droids) and 2 vehicles. I thought the Price Point at 350 and 0.12ppp was not bad in context with SW sets pricing in general this year (which are on average more like 0.14ppp) but €400 in Ireland is the stinker for me. I'd be a day 1 on €350 but at €400 I'm now in a dilemma with the Hogwarts Castle. I'll still 100% get this and it won't sit on a shelf gathering dust. -
I had a chat session with TLG recently. Usually very good. I asked if I could get the parts for a second passenger 60197 and was told to go onto the bricks n pieces section and do it myself. some of those pieces are out of stock. I asked if this was surely a Frequently Asked Question but the chat dropped. Usually brilliant, but brutal this time. Surely LEGO know that most people buying or getting trains as presents would love a longer train. My almost 2 year old has inherited a trough of duplo from his sister and he is mainly interested in making the longest train he can (with towers on top). I reckon that if the did an extra car set separately, most people would add one or more to their cart upon first purchase of the train itself.

would love to see a pic of the 2 sets together. I'm on the fence. I'll either get 2 or none.

REVIEW: 71022 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1
shotgunmcos replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yep. Same -
Thanks, it was in Smyths. Probably more a Star Wars fan but I like Harry Potter a lot and actually like Fantastic beasts as a canon of the Wizarding World. I will get the D2C Hogwarts Castle but I'm waiting for the Cloud City reveal and will likely get that first. I'm in the middle of reading the books for the 3rd time! I wasn't too disappointed with the duplicates. I may even get a 2nd Graves (if the resellers leave any behind ?) so I can have Grindelwald. The additional Cho fig can easily be changed to a random other Ravenclaw. Having 2x Hermione and you can put her in 2 classrooms at once like in Prisoner of Azkaban. It hasn't prompted me to collected any other CMFs but I'll get the next Harry Potter set and obviously if they ever do a Star Wars series..

Just checked the 5 bags I got this morning Graves, Tina Goldstein, both Harrys so that gives me 22/22 yahoo! I thought I had a second Harry with Hedwig but its another Cho Chang. Overall 22 out of 27 bags. It was fun and a lot less pricey that a full box.

Cheers for that. If Only I knew yesterday. Just one box emptied into a bin with about 40 remaining and mixed in with the last CMF series packs. I spent half an hour and thought I got about 15 before running out of time. I grabbed a last handful and paid for 22 bags. Got home and opened up my first ever CMF pack. Overall got 18/22 and was missing the 2 Harrys, Graves and Tina Goldstein. I had duplicates of Hermione, Voldemort, Newt and Credence. I went back in this morning and the bin was full with hundreds of them plus a few boxes freshly opened on the tills. I asked a lad if I could take a box and search through and no problem. Apparently all HP stuff sold like hot cakes yesterday. So I got 5 more. I haven't opened them yet but pretty sure I have them. Definitely Tina Goldstein and Harry with Hedwig (got 2x to have a second Hedwig) but I have my doubts about Graves and Harry with the Cloak. If I am unsuccessful I'll go with your pattern!

I've never purchased CMFs before but I was interested in the Harry Potter series. Went down to Smyths today with a plan on paper. Firstly the box was just dumped into a bin onto of the last series of CMFs. There were only 36 left so chances were someone had nabbed a perfect 22 already or kids grabbed a few on their way passed. I had a 30 minute window and ate it all up feeling the bags and trying to figure out what was what. I've never done this before and felt odd with my paper and pen in work suit while kids buzzed around wowing at this at that, chiefly the new HP set on the front of the aisle. I bought 22 but am full sure I have a bunch of duplicates. I felt a bit conscious standing there, a grown man shaking and feeling these little bags. In the end I had no time, 15 separated and just quickly grabbed 7 more. There are 22 in total to collect and I have 22 bags to open. I hope to half at least half of them so I can go to another Smyths and try again. I'll report back with the outcome of this first batch... -
Hmmm I like it and at 6,020 pieces that a lot of tiny 1x1s! It looks like the whole Hogwarts and just placing the nanofigs around the exterior gives it life. I budget for a couple of big sets a year but as cool as this is (and I like Harry Potter), you can get the whole Harry Potter Summer Wave (Brickheadz and all) for less. And considering that whole wave (which is not bad PPP) will discount too by the end of the year.. I can pass and enjoy all the play sets with the kids I'll likely still get it sometime just not day 1. Most likely, the Cloud City will draw that card

Thanks for the tip. I'll try and figure it out so and find a unique shaped piece in each fig. Bit of fun I suppose if you guess correct and booo if not.

Hi I don't usually collect CMFs but really interested in the HP one. Maybe this is a dumb question but how can one get all 22 without buying boxes etc.? I only want 1 version of each fig.
