Nice vignette there! You can literally feel the action in the scene, I like it! Cheers!

Thanks for the top-notch review! The fact that your copy is new makes it even better. I love those old boxes too, and most notably the sight of that highlighted selection of shiny parts that shows after pushing back the flap! That is true nostalgia. As for the set itself, I really like it. Maybe I'll get it myself someday. Cheers!

I have to agree with Brickdoctor here. As your LEGO budget is apparently not that big, I would strongly advise against buying the V-Wing. Star Wars sets are generally very expensive and this one is not exactly the best out there. Of the ones you mentioned, I'd cleary buy Flying Mummy Attack if I were you. Other great choices for small sets would be 7306 Golden Staff Guardians to go with it, or the 7235 police bike which is awesome!

That's great! For me, the most fascinating thing about it is the lava! It looks so incredibly realistic you can feel it flowing! Awesome! Other than that, I love the rock structure (vulcano) and the aura of "Islanderness" radiating from the scene! Keep on Island'ring ISC! Cheers!

I have just finished yet another Harris book, Enigma - the base for the same-titled 2001 film which you might have seen. I can only repeat: start reading Harris, fellas! Cheers!

Thanks very much! The heart looks great. Ladies to impress, anyone?

That's great news! I must go to Günzburg (or wherever the LEGOland is now) or California sometime after this has been completely established! I'll never ever go to Billund again, though. If I'm not on vacation in Denmark anyway, that is. Lego's just too expensive there! Cheers!

Merry Christmas... everyone! Clicking the picture takes you to its flickr page.

Well put! Same with me. I'm not so sure whether they are really going to sell that extremely well anymore, but I do figure they'll be very appealing to kids. Let's see if there will be a hype going on or not.

To me, it's not nerdy. It's creative - would you say photography or making music were nerdy? What does "nerdy" mean, anyway? I think this is different for everyone. Cheers!

Wow Solscud, your Pre Viszla minifig is amazing! Nice photography too! What material do you use for the cape? Thanks for the tutorial.

Hi, up for trade are the following new, mint BrickArms: 1x Apoc SMG Trans-green 1x Energy Pistol Trans-green 3x Paintball Marker Bronze 1x M6 Rocket Bronze 1x M1851 Navy Revolver Dark Gray I'd like to trade them for other BrickArms, Star Wars stuff or other military-oriented Lego things, may they be from Lego themselves or BrickForge or whatever. Or just about anything you think I might like. I only need items in mint condition, though. I also accept cash. Enpaz PS: 100% positive feedback on BrickLink and eBay

PAB selection plea for the classic smiley (Head #001)

I support the petition as well! This classic Lego element should be there. -
Start of the 2011 Lego shopping for me: 7235 Police Motorcycle 7567 Tourist 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter 5 CM Series 2 (3 Spartans, 1 Traffic Cop and 1 Surfer) Great little haul in my opinion! Also saw the big Power Miners set (8964) for 36 euros but didn't buy it because I'm not into Power Miners. If I were, it would have been an awesome deal!

Choosing the title is always the hardest part

Welcome! A fine introduction you've got there. I can understand your aversion to the big boy you bought yourself. -
I have to agree with you, they are damn expensive. Their strategy about it is not insane, however, because I'm afraid those spinner packs will sell like hotcakes nonetheless. Remember, their job is to make as much money as they can, not making money of exactly you or me. They don't greatly appeal to me because of - yeah, you've guessed it - the high price and the cheap, cheap plastic which I hate! But I'm nothing in comparison to the big market out there. Why should people who are used to buying Magic the Gathering decks for 13 euros refrain from buying a Lego minifig, a spinner and some cards for 10 euros? NinjaGo is combining two big interests of many, many children and that's why I expect that the "game-based" sets will be a success for TLG.

He probably meant the very large sets. Towerbridge and suchlike!

A piece that allows you to build in a way that in the end, the Studs are Not On Top (=SNOT). For example a 1x1 brick with a stud on the side - this is a SNOT brick because you could attach another piece to its side so that there's no stud of the attached piece showing to the top of the assembly. Clear enough?

Hey, no problem! I just was annoyed about the fact that my entry was being attacked because of my opinion about another entry. And by the way, it's not like I dislike your entry or anything. I actually like it. I merely disagree with the masses (Yeah, Solscud - in fact Walter Kovacs and me are the minority) immediately shouting "Oh, that's so great, you'll win first place" only because an entry is "lavish".
