Missing decorations have been changed or left blank. Outstanding set. Congratulations to Lego designers. Happy Christmas to all.
  2. 10210 - Imperial Flagship The job is going on quite well. The hull is completed and I presently miss the decks and the masts. I think I'm at 70% of the full model. Still to decide what to do with the sails.
  3. I'd like to try to build the Imperial Flagship... not a promise... just a trial. I know it will be hard to create suitable templates for parts 64645, 64651 and 47404 just from pictures because they are not available even in ldraw archive. PS - Is this the right topic?
  4. Sets 6823 and 6874 in post #1314 have been uploaded again after fixing some mistakes. marco

Unavailable decorations have been replaced or left blank. Sails made with plates may look weird but the model looked poor without.
  7. No I used MdStone Grey, whilst correctly it had to be Oldgrey (number 2 "Grey" in LDD palette according to the LDD Colour Chart Reference). I have changed it and updated the post; however "Grey" really looks too dark on my screen, much darker than in real sets, but it may probably depend on my graphic card. Thank you.
  8. 6649 - Street sweeper - Town Updated to LDD 4.1.7 LXF Errors The Hinge Car Roof parts 2349 and 4214 are not available in LDD and have been replaced with available parts. The LDD brush holder 2578 has a different connection from the one it should have although the part number is the same (see peeron), so it has been positioned with a scaffhold. Printings are different 1490 - Town Bank - Town LXF Errors Not available parts: - 73476c01 Door 1 x 4 x 5 Left with Clear Glass and 73475c01 Door 1 x 4 x 5 Right with Clear Glass replaced with 47889 and 73194, but they don't have the white frame and the tiles used as handles cannot be connected. - The windows 2493a have been replaced with a template which in some way reproduces the sticker pattern. - The truck's hinge parts 4213 and 4315 have been replaced like in the previous attachment. Different printings, missing stickers Marco

  10. 5866 - Rotor rescue - Creator To Calabar: a "bonus" extra version of this set has been officially released by Lego and was posted by Toa_Of_Justice. It is indexed as "Version II". Just notice that what I'm posting as version II is something different. Version I - LXF Version II - LXF Version III - LXF I couldn't notice any error.

    LDD Reference

Very nice topic. The Clip-and-Bar Hinge Template allowed me to fix some errors and to update a set which I'm going to re-post in the official sets' topic. To give my little personal contribution, I'm going to illustrate something I experienced when I opened Aanchir's file "6093 Flying Ninja Fortress" and read his report about the placement of the 63141 String with coupling points. The string is impossible (or very difficult, I couldn't) to place at the assembled structure, because the final edge must be placed on the destination stud by keeping the flex tool pressed for some seconds over the destination point after starting pressing it at the string edge. Then it will "gently" connect to the desired point, but only if there is free space around (step 2). LXF After that, you can again manipulate the string with the flex tool, but you can't point it on a string's coupling point; when I tried to do so, I lost the connection. So the string was acceptably placed and flexed (step 3), but the right coupling didn't left space to place a plate on the right-side free stud. So I constrained it with some other bricks (4) and after that I was able to flex the string the way I liked without losing the connection. Maybe there is a quicker way, but this one seems to work pretty well. I hope I could add something new. Sorry for the poor graphics.
  14. Some more alternative models: 6745 - Propellor Power version II - Creator Versions I and III have already been posted by me. LXF No errors. 6743 - Street speeder version II - Creator... Version I has already benn posted by JunkstyleGio LXF ... and version III LXF No errors, it seems, except the files's typewriting ("speed streeter" ).
  15. Some alternative versions from already posted set 4402: 4402 - Sea riders (version 2) - Creator Actually it is the first one in the instruction booklet. LXF 4402 - Sea riders (version 3) - Creator LXF Errors (both models): Wings 3933 and 3934 are missing. They have been replaced by parts 50304 and 50305 in version 2 and by 54383 and 54384 in version 3. UPDATED TO LDD 4.1.7
  16. I don't know how to fix it. The problems I see with this models are the ones which have already been reported: impossible connections lattice+studs and unavailable parts. Please give me some hints. Thanks.
  17. 4402 - Sea riders - Creator Updated to LDD 4.1.7 LXF Errors - Wings 3933 and 3934 not available; replaced with other parts. - Windscreen x224 not available; replaced with wedges 41749 and 41750 which externally look the same, but internally they leave no room for the seat's headrest, which is left aside. - The cockpit cannot be perfectly closed. - The available universal joint (61903) is shorter than the required one (3712c01); it was then necessary to use longer axles. The alignment tool was not useful to connect those joints, they had to be aligned with small manual adjustements. - The exhaust tubes 75535 can't be connected to 1x4 brick w.4 knobs by vertical studs. 4918 - Mini flyers - Creator Downloand lxf: 1 2 3 Same comment about the windscreen colour.
  18. 3178 - Seaplane - Town LXF No errors except stickers 3829 - Fire Nation Ship - Avatar LXF Errors: The rear door cannot be closed properly. That is due to not perfect alignment of hinge parts used ("plates 1x1 with holder vertical" and "plates 1x2 with stick 3.8") because they can slide from left to right but never in the central position. I had never tested that in LDD3. The attached file has been updated after fixing this error. The big flag is missing. Characters' prints are different or missing. For characters' armours I used dark red as reported by Peerom.com, even if in the instructions they looked more like metal red. The models: 3181 Passenger plane 6745 Propellor power (main model) 6747 Race riders (main model and model 3) have been successfully upgraded to LDD4 and all detected errors have been fixed. Comments have been added in the original posts. Other models work the same way.
  19. Few days ago I posted the main Model of the set 6747 Race Riders; here are the alternative models: 6747 - Race Riders Model 2 - Creator LXF Apparently no errors. 6747 - Race Riders Model 3 - Creator The missing part ("front fork") is now available in LDD4 and the model has been fixed LXF Errors: Like in the main model, the missing part "Technic motorcycle pivot" has had to be customized; this time there was no impact on other parts. My favourite: 10021 - USS Constellation - Model or Vintage LXF Errors: Many differences due to unavailability of old parts and to original model's connections which do not work in LDD or are now considered illegal. - The sails have been connected to the masts by using hinge elements, whilst in the original model they were connected to fences' lattice. - The cannons have been connected by using angular bricks; originally they were held by plates vertically assembled through studs. - Most objects on the deck (ship wheel, winch, etc.) have been redesigned because LDD misses some old Technic parts. - The three inclined yards have been connected by adding hinge elements, that is why their overall dimension is one stud longer than the original. - Stickers and ropes are missing. I will appreciate very much any suggestion helping to improve this model.
  20. 6745 - Propellor Power - Model 3 - Creator (the main model has already been shared) problem not fixed in LDD4: the main model could be fixed in LDD4; in my opinion, this is not a problem in LDD but in the model itself because I tested it in Ldraw too and there where not enough space, so that the axle would be stressed by overflexing. LXF Errors: Like in the main model, the turbine seems not to have enough internal space to let 2stud-wide plates pass through it, as required in the real model; so the plate has been "trimmed". I shall report that to the Bugs topic. 6747 - Race Riders - Creator The missing part ("front fork") is now available on LDD4 and the model has been updated. LXF Errors: The only one error is the missing part "Technic Motorcycle pivot", which has been built in a different way; unfortunately I was not able to reproduce all the connections and shoud replace other parts; in detail: 1 x "Connector peg w. friction 3M" in place of 1 x "Connector peg w. friction" (centre, vertically) 2 x "Connector peg / cross axle" in place of 1 x "Cross axle 5m" (horizontally, because the replaced piece has no central hole) 4837 - Mini trains - Models 1,2,3 - Creator Model1 Model2 Model3 No errors. The colors have been fixed after checking. Bye
  21. Some more models: 3181 - Passenger Plane - Town All errors but stickers have been fixed upgradind to LDD4 LXF Differences: - The 1x16 white bricks (internal-rear area) could not be connected and where replaced with shorter bricks and plates. - The rudder has been advanced one stud because for some mysterious reason it could not be connected to the roof-tile in the right position. - Stickers missing 119 - Super Train Set - Train (or Vintage) LXF Differences (the list of correct parts would be shorter...) - Windows, Wheels and Couplings are different because of unavailability of vintage train parts - The passenger wagons have been elonged two studs in order to insert 1x4 fencing gates as I could not find 1x3 ones. - The engine and battery box have been simulated with bricks. - Curved rails and train signals were not available. 00 {Castle} - 1970 - Castle or Vintage (as mentioned by Peeron.com) LXF Differences: - The old-style windows have been replaced - The original set includes no baseplate, it is based on three 10x20 bricks, which are replaced by smaller bricks; the baseplates are needed to keep bricks together. - The "Legologo" flag is missing. Bye.
  22. Hello everybody. I am really happy to join this community. Sorry it is not such an original idea, but I like to start my LDD work with the first sets I owned, 30 years ago: 606 - Ambulance - Town Here is the lxf file: 606 Ambulance.zip 608 - Taxi - Town lxf:608 Taxi.zip Differences from the original: missing stickers, missing or different prints, the wheels are modern-type. Now, a recent set: 6745 - Propellor Power - Creator All errors have been fixed upgrading to LDD4 LXF Differences are due to correct parts which did not fit the assembly in LDD: 1 - "8m cross axle" in place of "8m cross axle with end stop" 2 - 2x3 black plate in place of 2x4, cause the 2x4 did not allow the turbine's correct placing. Both differences do not affect the external look of the model, they would cause unstability when building it with real bricks. Any hints to solve these problems are welcome. Simple work from a rookie, I hope you like it.
