DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

If anyone finds them at Toys R Us by Saturday, they'll be on sale. All LEGO Super Heroes sets are 20% off this week.

I went to my local Toys R Us and asked one of the folks at customer service to look up the web number for Electro. She said that they had it. I said that I couldn't find it. She asked what it was, and I told her it was a LEGO polybag. Employee: "Oh, all those polybags are classified under the same web number, so there's no way to be sure exactly which one it is that we have. Which one are you looking for?" I showed her a picture on my phone. Employee: "Yeah, we had a lot of that one a year ago. It's probably all gone by now." I didn't feel like arguing, so I just left.

How much shorter is that figure than the brick-built Groot? (And how much taller is he than the typical LEGO bigfig?) I've seen him on eBay lately and been thinking about buying him.

I don't think that I've seen the Target DCPI numbers for the new Avengers sets in this thread yet, so here they are (per Reddit user Natrino): 76029 Iron Man vs. Ultron 204-00-0369 76030 Avengers Hydra Showdown 204-00-1022 76031 Hulkbuster Rescue Mission 204-00-1035 76032 The Avengers Quinjet Chase 204-00-1024 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower 204-00-1023 source

Based on the set display at the Toy Fair, does everyone think that the Chima ice piece won't be adapted to a sand color in the Sandman set like we saw in the preliminary photo?

The poster might mean that the Hank minifigure isn't featured in the scene that's on the box front.

I wonder why Green Goblin doesn't have side leg printing. Oh well. I'll be getting him on Bricklink or eBay since it'll be at least another year before he might show up in a non-Juniors set. That glider is a bulky mess, so I just Bricklinked a bunch of pieces to make the one that he uses in the video game. I actually bought enough to make 10 gliders because of order minimums, so now I just need to build an Oscorp factory assembly line or something.

No, it's cool. I actually thought that I'd be instantly chased out of here with pitchforks and torches for being a brand new member who posted information(?) about an unreleased set. I totally don't expect many people will take me seriously. For what it's worth, though, I've been checking in here a couple times a day for a few years. I just never registered until now because I never felt like I had much to contribute.

I mean, I'm assuming that the instructions are spread out over several books, so if the pages that he actually saw were from a book that focused on the Helicarrier facade, it might not be immediately obvious what the scale is. And I don't know how much of what he said came from what he saw vs. what his boss related to him. I'm basically clueless. I'm just posting a brief, potentially confusing chat I had with a nice LEGO employee who told me some stuff about an unreleased set. Question about the picture above: Is it generally believed that the small construction that appears to be floating above the Helicarrier deck is a tiny Quinjet?

Yeah, I dunno. My impression was that this guy's boss had it and showed it to him. He (the boss) might have the actual set already. I'm not sure how long before official release that they get the big sets to build them for in-store display, but this was Tuesday morning, and he was talking like it happened very recently. I asked him if he knew when official pictures would be released, and he didn't. I said that time was running out since the set goes on sale for VIP members on February 17th. He was like: "It does?!" He looked at those store calendars they give you with purchase, and he saw that February 17th was designated for a VIP prerelease. He was like: "Oh, I guess it does!" The mixture of scales seems weird to me, but I might not've understood him correctly re: the microfigures. Maybe he meant that the control room was in minifigure scale, but the rest of it was more along the lines of microfigure scale, and we're not actually getting any microfigures with the set. I didn't ask him if the set came with any minifigures.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Hi all. Long-time lurker/first-time poster here. I was chatting up one of the friendly managers at my local LEGO Store the other day, and he said that he'd been able to briefly flip through the instruction booklet for the Helicarrier. He told me a few things. 1. Based on what he saw, it seemed like at least the Helicarrier control room is in minifigure scale. 2. He said that his boss — who got a better look than he did — told him that there's a Galaga sticker for one of the monitors in the control room. He wasn't sure if his boss was joking. 3. He said something about microfigures as well. (I took this to mean a trophy piece like the Jack Sparrow voodoo doll in set #4195.) I'm not sure if he meant that the Helicarrier's deck/external areas will overall be in microfigure scale or if the set also actually comes with SHIELD microfigures. I know this isn't much that folks haven't predicted already, but I thought that I'd register and write a post anyway. Cheers.
